Wow, this is a super young channel. Glad to get in on the ground floor, your production looks fantastic. Just picked up my second suppressor (Griffin PSR-7 OTB). Excited for what's to come!

Good on Huxwrx for really creating a giant leap forward in suppressor tech. They deserve the profits they’re getting because of that… but man, I’m not going to be mad when the patents expire and there can be some more affordable flow-through competition, either 😂
thanks for posting this and spending the time on it. there's a lot to consider when it comes to diagnosing suppressors- far more than just sound reduction. Keep up the good work!

A suggestion for future testing: once you’re down to setting 1, swap out to progressively longer plungers in the Riflespeed gas block until you start to lose bolt hold open. That way, you can still rank all the super high backpressure suppressors in order of severity. Great video. Thank you for putting in the effort to test!
@@SilencerSyndicate Lmao hi there Rob. That's like the 4th channel I've seen you in I think. Suggestion still stands though, using progressively longer plungers after you've run out of adjustment allows you to rank the highest backpressure suppressors beyond just saying they're all Setting 1. Since each plunger size is worth two adjustment settings, you can go back to Setting 2 when changing plunger size to get the same granularity of testing

Great video! If you ever get your hands on an AB suppressor I would love to see the same analysis. They are supposed to be reduced back pressure because of the special baffle design as well as the ability to add a reflex to increase the volume of the blast chamber.
Good video! I think there could be a number of other variables when considering a can as well. This was an awesome test, and I'm not at all taking away from it. Bu I also think back pressure vs cost vs weight vs mounting would be also a good video. A low backpressure can that costs $1200+, and add $200 - $400 of mounting accessories and muzzle devices vs. a mid to high backpressure can that costs $499 - $800 and still needs those mounting accessories plus a $50 H3 buffer could help people make decisions as well. I would like to see a side by side comparison of back pressure to sound suppression. Im curious if lower back pressure actually means quiter sound? Obviously, lower back pressure is more user friendly and adjustable!
we have a DB guy coming to film with us soon! i too look forward to more data as well.. maybe we can do vids on each can with pros and cons.. that would be fun
Just shot my new Huxwrx QD. 10 rounds the bolt pin for my extractor on a sig 556 backed out and got stuck in the upper guide rail. Gun was shot on the unsuppressed setting. All I can think it is it was the suppressor but so weird it’d do that being second lowest.
Thank you for watching! UA-cam has been targeting our account and other 2A channels by randomly turning off comments on videos. We'd greatly appreciate it if you would consider subscribing if you haven't done so already so we can defeat the algorithm. Thanks for watching 🍻
I think it could've been even more awesome if we could get some decibel reductions, and can weights, alongside the relative backpressure, to compare and contrast the cans against each other more succinctly. A can that has almost no backpressure is not worth the money if it barely touches the sound signature, or weighs a whole bunch. I do appreciate the thoroughness and coverage of available cans. Great work! :]
thanks! the Db system is over 30K and about 7K to rent. we are looking into ways to do that test. we are doing many more tests in other ways to measure sound and weight as well as many other factors that I don't think any one has yet to put to gather... more to come!
Great info. I think comparing back-pressure against sound reduction would help to paint a full picture, as is my understanding that the freer-flowing devices (somewhat understandably) tend to be less effective at sound reduction.
We have a video coming very soon about sounds suppression. You're right about flow-through cans in that they tend to be louder, but they are intended to serve a slightly different function.
totally! those are GASY! I love my MK18s but wow! yes the HUX is solid, i just did a side by side with it and the SF RC3 both did not gas me out on my 10.3 when firing 10 rounds as fast as i can. the BT can should also work well. I should have it within the week for testing! i hope this helps!
Good question, realistically, yes. But not necessarily. In other words, if you were to compare the surefire RC to to the surefire, RC three, the RC two being a non-flow through design is quieter than the RC three. However, it’s only by a few decibels. Most people can’t hear the difference between the two. Having said that I definitely choose the RC three over the RC two. As for the other flow through designs, some of them are in fact louder. It’s kind of a safe thing to say that if it has a flow through design, it won’t be quite as quiet.in the end, it really depends on your mission as an operator, or as a consumer, as to which suppressor is best for you. We will be making a video on many more topics regarding how to select a good suppressor. Most often it comes down to the individual needs, and not just a simple cart launch which one is best. Thank you for your questions your comments and positive support.
This is good video. Now, this is mainly American thing. In Europe we don't shoot 399.948.392.394.029 rounds per range session so it's really no big deal for us, but if you are American, it is something that you should pay attention.
@@SOTB69 You also don't have to wait 18 months to get your suppressor after buying it. For us it is very important to do a lot of research before buying because it takes so long to actually aquire one.
Thanks for watching. We did the Velos recently and will continue to include it in future tests. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/mL4y4BqKsKM/v-deo.html

Great video. Far and away my Dead Air Nomad-L is the best performer in terms of sound suppression, but it’s also the most restrictive. The back pressure is so high that I had to buy the E-Brake flow through end cap just to be able to get my AR’s to cycle properly. In addition to swapping for a heavy buffer, heavy spring, and major gas block tuning.
yes, i am not a fan of them at all! have several clients with them and they are not great cans. We will be making another vid on how to mitigate back pressure, thank you for your support! =)

Please comment on sound reduction vs. relative back pressure. Great video & info!
good call! we will do it! Thank you for your positive feedback and comments!
I would like to see a side by side comparison of back pressure to sound suppression. Im curious if lower back pressure actually means quiter sound? Obviously, lower back pressure is more user friendly and adjustable!
Yes! we have that video coming in the not too distant future.
yes we have a DB guy filming with us very soon! i cant wait to see as well
AGREED because huxwurx are not very quiet in my range opinion
Knowing the sound reduction with the back pressure would help.
And a link to a printed page for notes
we would like that too. the device is 4k$ to rent for a week. we might need a sponsor first
Thank you! 😃
Solid video. I'd like to see sound suppression numbers beside the back pressure numbers to get a better understanding of pro/con analysis.
Thanks, we will be doing a sound suppression test in the not too distant future 👍
we have a DB guy coming to film with us soon! i too look forward to more data as well.. maybe we can do vids on each can with pros and cons.. that would be fun
Just shot my new Huxwrx QD. 10 rounds the bolt pin for my extractor on a sig 556 backed out and got stuck in the upper guide rail. Gun was shot on the unsuppressed setting. All I can think it is it was the suppressor but so weird it’d do that being second lowest.
thats odd, I have been finding little to NO BP on that can. maybe just odd timing?
@@Ertactical must be.
Great video!
Thank you for watching! UA-cam has been targeting our account and other 2A channels by randomly turning off comments on videos. We'd greatly appreciate it if you would consider subscribing if you haven't done so already so we can defeat the algorithm. Thanks for watching 🍻
Great content! Very well constructed testing too.
Thank you for your support and positive feedback!
Thank you! 😃
Suppressors need to be removed from the NFA
dude! 100% and it might happen! wishful thinking maybe but this is just the right kinda climate for it to happen!
They really are just another muzzle device, like a muzzle break or flash hider
@@danietkissenle totally, they’re nothing but beneficial. And if we look at how other countries treat them, it’s embarrassing.
The NFA needs to be abolished completely
@@Qevin115 add the ATF to that list too
Thanks for the video. Very helpful and well presented. Good job!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
Love my Ventum and for the same reason - ASR
It's definitely one of our favorite suppressors!
100% totally in love!
What to do you think of the CGS-Sci-6? I think its a low-back presssure focused can.
I don't have one, but ill reach out to them, thank you for your comments and support
Great info. I think comparing back-pressure against sound reduction would help to paint a full picture, as is my understanding that the freer-flowing devices (somewhat understandably) tend to be less effective at sound reduction.
Yes! We have a video about sounds suppression coming ver soon.
We have a video coming very soon about sounds suppression. You're right about flow-through cans in that they tend to be louder, but they are intended to serve a slightly different function.
we are going to do just that. thanks for the feed back
I am really looking for a low back pressure can for my MK18 my first choice is Huxwrx 556, but I don't like their warranty. What are my options?
totally! those are GASY! I love my MK18s but wow! yes the HUX is solid, i just did a side by side with it and the SF RC3 both did not gas me out on my 10.3 when firing 10 rounds as fast as i can. the BT can should also work well. I should have it within the week for testing! i hope this helps!
X2 Dev has very low backpressure cans. I don't know what their warranty is like.
@@christophernolin2795 do you have a link to them? We have not tested or reached out to them
Decimal reduction would have been great to know on each suppressor. Just to see if or how back pressure relates to suppression.
we would like that too. the device is 4k$ to rent for a week. we might need a sponsor first.
Any plans for Griffin M4SD-L?
I don't have one of those, but Ill reach out to them and see if we can get some Griffen action going, thank you for your comments and support
got 2 Grif cans on the way
@@SilencerSyndicate so awesome! Appreciate the follow-up!
Great video! I liked because not many people discuss this topic or have actual data points for comparison.
Does low back preasure correlate to louder can?
Thank you for your questions your comments and positive support.
can be but these days we are finding ways around that.. the HUX are LOUD!
Really would have loved to see the griffin offerings. My Dual-lok 5 isn't gassy at all. It's also really quiet.
I don't have one of those but Ill reach out to them.Thank you for your support and positive feed back!
we now have 2 on the way
I got the ventum for a first because of the back pressure and less need to dick around with anything lol. I find this useful information
we got one as well, after this vid.. test vid to come.. stay tuned! Thank you for your positive feedback and comments!
Solid video and great production quality. 🤘🏼
Thanks for watching!
Hey, good video😊
Thank you for your positive feedback and support
Thank you! 😃
Perfect timing on this video!
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
This is good video. Now, this is mainly American thing. In Europe we don't shoot 399.948.392.394.029 rounds per range session so it's really no big deal for us, but if you are American, it is something that you should pay attention.
Thanks for watching!
This comment wins lmao
I live in Europe and I disagree.
@@SOTB69 You also don't have to wait 18 months to get your suppressor after buying it. For us it is very important to do a lot of research before buying because it takes so long to actually aquire one.
Perhaps you don’t, but European shooters who are serious about training certainly do. There are plenty of them.
Great content! Would love to see a SilencerCo Velos LBP included in the future.
Thanks for watching. We did the Velos recently and will continue to include it in future tests. Here's the link:
ua-cam.com/video/mL4y4BqKsKM/v-deo.html
we did, didn't have one then but i do now. check our low BP head to head vid. Thank you for your feed back and positive comments.
Also your volume leveling is very low. I had to turn on the captions so I could tell what you were saying.
Yes, we noticed that too after it posted. Thank you for your feedback and support and will try to get the volume turned up on the next one.
Good solid info! Though I would like name labels on the table. Had to go back and forth from the graph to the table to see which was which.
Good point!
Thank you! 😃
Not a word said about decibels this is kinda deceiving to those who are new to the game.
Thanks, we'll have a video out on sound suppression in the not too distant future.
Not to those who know how to read video titles.
this video wasnt about sound suppression so why would decibels matter?
@@MSSynsyterGates ^This guy knows how to read video titles. Unlike the OP.
we are going to film DB readings in the next set of vids. look forward to seeing it soon. given the YT game we try to keep our vids to 10-12m so we can only cover so many topics at a time.
Thanks for the great review which has helped me a lot. Impressed that you were able to make it objective, with numbers. Just what I was looking for.
Awsome information! Great job in presentation!
Thank you =)
Thank you! 😃
Great, the best and most complete guide I've seen.
Would be interesting to see the sound reduction data alongside the backpressure stats.
good call, working on it. $$$$ thank you for your positive feed back and support
Nice comparison, especially using the rifle speed.... Consistent real world results
Thank you!! Lots more to come!
Good information. I'm curious to the rifle that are on the wall behind you
Great video.
Thank you! 😃
Thank you for an excellent explanation and great information about suppressors and their function with an MSR. 👍🏼👍🏼
thank you =)
SMH. I don’t know what to make of such a well narrated comprehensive analysis that excludes CGS’ Helios Ti and Wilson Combat’s Whisper 5.56 cans.
I don't have those but we have reached out to get some for testing.
Interested to see some Griffin cans tested here. I pick one up this week, but curious to see how they stack up. I'm thinking an Alaskan is going to be in the works for me soon.
we have 2 on the way =)
Thank you! 😃
You forgot about Thermal Defense. Pretty amazing technology back pressure wise.
news to me, ill reach out to them, thanks for sharing! so many to learn about

Thanks for the videos! I am learning a lot before I buy one.
Awesome, that's why we started the channel...to help folks make good decisions on the suppressor they choose. Thanks for watching 🍻
happy to help!
subscribed... great information. bought my first can now that Im out of IL.
