Really good insight into The Practice due to your very insightful questions. The big take away for me is making work that people enjoy enough to recommend to others is the route to the smallest viable audience.

    - "Linchpin" focused on exploring art, gifts, and leadership, outlining a possibility for individuals to make a difference, but it didn't address the internal narrative and mindset.
    - "The Practice" shifts the focus to the inner narrative and how individuals talk to themselves when deciding to make a difference.
07:39 🖊️ Overcoming Imposter Syndrome in Leadership
    - Seth Godin discusses imposter syndrome and argues that feeling like an imposter is a sign of leading and doing something new.
    - Imposter syndrome is common when one is doing important work, as it means venturing into uncharted territory.
    09:37 🖋️ Overcoming Writer's Block
    - Writer's block, as a concept, is debunked by Seth Godin. It's suggested that writer's block is actually a fear of showing imperfect work.
    - Emphasis is placed on the importance of embracing bad writing, as it's a step toward producing good work.
    12:51 🔄 Establishing a Creative Process
    - Seth Godin shares insights into his creative process, highlighting the commitment to producing a daily blog post for over 20 years.
    - A key takeaway is setting a clear commitment to create consistently, which shifts the mindset and approach to creativity.
16:28 🎯 Targeting the Smallest Viable Audience
    - The concept of serving a small, specific group of people as the foundation for growth is discussed.
    - Examples like Starbucks, Nike, and Apple illustrate how successful brands started by catering to a niche audience.
    21:23 🌐 Tailoring B2B Brand Messaging
    - Seth Godin suggests that B2B brands should focus on giving customers a compelling story to tell their own bosses.
    - Instead of humanizing, B2B brands should provide a narrative that resonates with their target audience's objectives.
23:10 🎭 Humanizing B2B Brands: The Customer as the Face
    - B2B brands should put the customer, rather than a personal figurehead, at the forefront to ensure it's about them and not an individual.
    - The customer becomes the "face" of the brand, as it's their experience and satisfaction that matter most.
24:46 🎯 Niche Audience vs. Mass Reach
    - Emphasizes the importance of a small, dedicated audience over mass reach.
    - Advocates for clarity in messaging and not trying to convince those who don't resonate with the message.
    - Encourages aligning with individuals or organizations already on a similar journey.
26:37 🌐 Building Community vs. Constant Posting
    - Highlights the shift from frequent, superficial posting to building a genuine community.
    - Stresses the importance of consistent, meaningful engagement over constant presence on various platforms.
    - Rejects the idea of trying to be famous and instead focuses on narrating for a specific, committed audience.
    29:12 🪞 Reflections on the Pandemic's Impact
    - Reflects on how the pandemicreinforced that knowledge work doesn't require physical presence.
    - Acknowledges the challenges of working when people are in a state of fear and pain.
31:46 📺 Evolution of Entertainment and Advertising
    - Addresses the transformation of entertainment with the rise of streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+.
    - Declares that traditional advertising has significantly evolved and now relies on factors beyond just ads.
34:25 🤳 Influencer Marketing and Curation
    - Expresses skepticism towards influencer marketing and the potential lack of long-term influence.
    - Differentiates between influencers and curators, emphasizing the latter's long-term viability.
36:45 🔇 Cutting Through the Noise
    - Advocates for the power of genuine, horizontal spread of ideas through trusted connections.
    - Encourages creating conditions for existing supporters to share the message rather than focusing on grabbing strangers' attention.

    Too Good !
Bro most of the clients nowadays are choosing to work with established players only experienced people who have previous projects done in my field of AEC construction hvac design industry where i as an engineer deal with air conditioning commercial projects, with 2-3 projects done in internship beginning stage - how to make our portfolio attractive to get flow of clients & stand out from the crowd in competition of the market where everyone is getting cheaper with prices ? How to convince clients on LinkedIn app or any other..

    • @theleadcreative
      @theleadcreative  Рік тому +1

Find the ideal client for you, understand them and their needs. Invest time in understanding who your client is then target them based on what you know about them and what you offer. Larger players have their competitive advantage and yours can be building a tribe of clients who rave about work, and the experience of working with you.

Just now a senior friend of mine suggested me the book called as Blue ocean strategy/shift which talks around this topic.. what's your opinion about it ? @@mohibquadri4053 Platforms are secondary. It may be LinkedIn or any other platform, it's important to know your customer and then what platforms they use. Bootstrapper's Bible by Seth Godin was hugely helpful to me and that's an ebook you can download.
