      In my opinion, the olive wreath should be exclusive to Athens or Rome, because those are the only two modern cities that controlled the Olympics in their first era.

      i spent 2 months in Australia for the Sydney games about 5 weeks in runaway bay surfers paradise for pre games training and 3 weeks in Sydney for games and post games

      The Ancient Olympics actually have their origin in Olympia, Greece, which is why they're called the Olympics. The Modern Olympics have their origin in Athens.

    Well there's a mistake at the weightlifting part. The narrator says that "Dimas is now one of just two weighlifters in Olympic history, to have won three gold medals". The fact is also that Georgian/Greek Kakhi Kakhiasvili has also already won three medals (Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney) and was competing for his fourth (and unfortunately was disqualified in the same way as Suleymanoglu did in Sydney. No lift in the snatch).

      If you consider the the Intercalated games of 1906, you are right. But the IOC wrongly does not consider them as official games. Unfortunately for the IOC Athens was host only 2 times (1896 e 2004)

      @@adrianolubini5079 Why "wrongly?" There was never a hint of organising games in 1898, 1902 or 1910. The 1906 Games were merely a 10th anniversary celebration. Only the Greeks wanted them officially recognised. The concept of a 4-year cycle is one of the fundamental principles of the revival, as the ancient games were similarly organised. So there's no case for ever recognising 1906, unless they were differently named perhaps? How about the "1st Pythian Games of the modern era...?"

      In 2009 the corrupt prime minister George Papandreou inflated the debt of Greece and borrowed ~ 200 bil € from IMF, ECB, Eurogroup and gave the money to the bankrupt private banks of NB,EURO, ALPHA, PIRAEUS then he had the Parliament vote that the Greek People should pay these loans by reducing salaries , pensions and increasing taxes thus destroying the Economy and enriching his family which had acquired the Credit Default Swaps for 1.3 bil € and was paid later 23 bil€ when Greece declared bankruptcy.

    this film does not give a broad view of the games... some interested individual histories but... I WOULD preffer to see a more complete chronique of general facts in this olympics...
