- This is a full independent review of the Woodford Charlton, we test the stoves real world performance in:
Clean glass
Fuel economy
Ease of lighting
And controlling
I also give my views and a bit of background information. The videos are designed to be quick with only the "must know" information, they are independent and I'm not paid to make them.
If you would like any further information please feel free to drop me a comment or you check can out the manufacturers page here:

Another brilliant review. Hope Amy isn't too disappointed about it going the journey. 😊😊
Hi Gabriel and Amy - thanks for the great stove info and the excellent enthusiasm!
Been though quite a lot of your videos but can’t find one in cleaning out the stove. Could you do a video about best techniques on cleaning ash effectively with minimal mess?- it’s the last barrier to overall approval!
Thanks again 👍🇬🇧
I’ll have a think and plan something perhaps with an appropriate stove.
Great review Gabriel. You recently reviewed the E cosy Hampton 5 as a budget stove (we have installed a few since). - if you can get one from stove world UK, could you try to review the Ecosy i500 16" x 22" inset stove ? -again, a cheaper inset stove (for replacing gas/ electric insets) are often requested. Thanks. P.S why is your channel called "the Tortoise"?
Really like this one guys, i prefer to the electrically controlled one 😂
Reminds me of my Hampton 5, cheap but dies the job, really hard to knock it.
Regards
Tony
Yea it was fun to try a lower cost cylindrical stove. I’m trying the new Heta range soon, which is intended to be a bit more affordable.
Hello, is there any chance you could review the Stovax County 5 multi fuel? Thankyou
There will be, but initially I will be testing the Futura and Huntingdon. Quite excited to be testing some more Stovax’s soon
🌟👌
Beautiful modern stove but theres much to be said about stoves taking wood up to 2 feet in length. Burning large lengthy garbage wood is advantageous.
They tend to have pretty big outputs if they’re that big though 😆
@@TheTortoise true but I'm blessed with 23+ acres of mostly oak that needs a great deal of cleanup after winds and snow. I sell 95% of what I cut up and burn the garbage. If heating gets out of hand I'll open a door or window. Too bad I can't show you my 3 English Mastiffs surrounding the stove right now
Sounds pretty good to me.
