Nobody Said It Was Easy makes my top ten of all time Hard Rock albums.Should be on everyone's List.
It's a travesty this band was not more successful than they were. Nobody Said It Was Easy is a brilliant album front to back. This record is still played regularly in my house. I wish authentic music like this was more popular....love this band.
I miss this band so much. Thank you for posting these memories. RIP Frank.
Fucking awesome band... RIP Frankie and Dimwit
whos that and sorry?
@@purplehaze6385 The singer and the drummer.
I'm going to get another cold beer, and play this song again
That's exactly what I'm doing! This shit rocks!!!
Cheerx Bro 👊
Sambuca coffee on a cold winter day pairs well The 4 Horsemen.
easily one of the best ,, if not THE best rock album ever
one of the greatest rock albums ever. Kicked ass. Tragedy always strikes the great ones

Such an awesome, and tragic band. I bought their first album after seeing this video on MTV when I was 17, and I'm still listening to them!!
2nd CD even better.. very under-rated band imo
This band should have been household names. Frank C. Starr is the epitome of a front man and was the biggest rock star people never knew. Dimwit played with an animalistic groove that was simply perfect. Listen to his snare cut through the mix like a dagger. Wow! Haggis' Tele slide work and Lizmi's Les Paul tones are brilliant. Such a heavy in your face song with huge soaring harmonies. THIS is the way it is done folks. It's a shame that Frank and Dimwit were silenced. God bless TFH
Frank Starr.. great voice for the blues/rock combo they had! So sad he's gone!
Frankie.....what wild times those were. I remember him being so excited when he got that damn bike that wound up killing him. That and the dumb bitch that backed out onto Sunset Blvd.
Frank was one of my best friends, and we helped each other get through some pretty rough times. Whenever I see these videos, I miss him terribly. If he were still around, he would be hitting me up for some cash at least once a week lol. That was Frank. To know him was to love him :)
Damn shame.gone to soon !!!
wow, we have some similar story on one cd and then car...rip, but what is is very similar is types of these men. gl hf
What about a behind the music, or let's get the band back together!!!! They rocked!!!
I recall seeing this on MTV, as well as seeing Hetfield wearing one of their shirts, free publicity and all. Found the CD shortly thereafter. Such an underrated band.
I am and always was Rocken Roll . I was addicted to it by the time I was 13. I know real boggie when I hear it.(Old School)! I loved Montroes,LED Zeppelin,AC DC, Black Sabbath,Fog Hat and on and on.This Band can play right a long with them all. My wife of 43 years bought me there first Album in 91 and I still consider it among my top5 . With a little bit of luck and less tragedy they would be in the hall of fame. One of the best Rock bands ever assembled
Love these guys, Haggis is a good friend still, I talk to Dave from time to time-I am sad about Ben and Frankie, we will miss them and I hope the music lives on-love these guys!!
I still play the shit out of this album regularly….
It's hard for me to watch this, I worked with these guy's I'm the guy pulling Haggis out of the crowd at the end. I can tell you ALL this Frank and Dimmy were both such great genuine people, HEARTBREAKING.
IMO the reason it did not work out..
The number of times we walked into a club to load in and heard SLTS playing. Blame it on, oh' nevermind.
John Goebel .GREATEST band that never was
Yea them and Badlands were my favorite bands of the time. When grunge washed away everything, many great bands for swept aside for the latest fad. Wish people weren't so fickle.
Sorry buddy.
Avonidsed funny....as I was watching this I was thing of badlands....two great bands for sure
Greatest Band that never was.charlie starr of BlackBerry smoke has that engraved telecaster now.
Slide guitarist/rhythm guitar player Chuck K is Still an Awesome Artist to this Day! I can Personally vouch for This! ....
I Love it I already said it is one of the best Rock albums ever ... I will never get enough of this shit ...so sad it ended
Feel sorry for those who never came across these guys ...they are truly superb...and would have fitted right in the current music scene
ALL I CAN SAY IS I WAS A FAN BACK THEN AND I STILL AM,MR FRANK.C.STARR WAS AN AMASING VOCALIST THE RIFFS AND DRUMMIN CANY GET ENUFF.THE FOUR HORSE LIVE ON NOW AND FOREVER 21 YRS LATER AND STILL ROCKIN

Count my friends on these 4 fingers
Tell me is there any of y’all out there. .
holy fuck these guys were a great very underrated fucking band
Man, this brings back some memories. Although I have not heard this tune since the 90s, it has been stuck in my head for years. I wore this cassette tape out! Thanks for posting...miss the Horseman. They don't make them like that anymore. Pure ROCK N ROLL.
Both their albums stand the test of time like any of the great ones. What coulda been
This officanado is Timeless w Slide Guitar/ I Love You Charles Charlie Chuck Konieczki Jr II
For about a month or so in 91 I think this was the only album/tape my Walkman played. Over and over.
+chasebizzy1 Shit like this some 25+ years ago is why I'm half deaf now !
They were totally ROCK N ROLL !!! I miss them!!!!!
It's sad that I'm just now becoming a fan after 20 years or so. My brother was a huge fan of them in the 90's..however I never paid much attention to them back then. Now...they have a sound that reminds me of The Black Crowes and BlackBerry Smoke. LONG LIVE THE FOUR HORSEMEN.
By far the best rockin blues riffs EVER , and the harmony the band has is awsome i cant stop ROCKIN this album , and to throw you 1 more bone I got a set of tired wings tattood on my neck i love this music .
One of the best true rock bands of all time and one of the most underrated unrecognized sad but true awesome miss you guys
Wow this is great hard rock/blues rock! Can't believe I never heard of them!
Merissa Xhelili They weren't around for long. Deaths, etc. Their album, "Nobody Said It Was Easy" is solid from beginning to end.
+Merissa Xhelili A band that had bad luck all along
+Merissa Xhelili They were on same record label and opened for The black Crowes
+Dean Osterman I also got a cassette with 4 songs on it.There first recordings
If you don't like this then you don't know what the fuck music really sounds like
So sad these guys are gone ,but definitely not forgotten. They were my favourite band for years ,still are. I remember when they got back together in in the mid 90's and were hanging around and playing in Toronto a lot -where they recorded "Gettin' Pretty Good at Barely Gettin' By" , I kept missing their shows at RPM 's ,I always figured I'd see them next time. One of my only major regrets in life ! It was too bad that"Gettin' Pretty Good" didn't get heard, cause it was an amazing record.
Great song! First time hearing them. I'll check out more...
R.i.p. frank!!
Middled to death go a head dig a hole every dog has its day listen to what the trayed for a break in the chain
Some of Franks best work in this song!
RIP sweet beautiful Frank. I adored this man.
I remember at a festival on L.A. downtown streets Frank seeing my little 3 yr old daughter and him picking her up and claiming her telling people this is my girl. haha that day was forever etched in my mind. He was a great guy, gorgeous and a kick ass singer. RIP Frank. Thanks for the memories poster.
10 years since Frank is gone....... RIP one of my all time fav singers in the whole world......
Frank C. Starr grande maestro... desde Chile se te extraña demasiado!!!
Thank you gentlemen, "Rock is still alive!"
Awesome guitar playing Dave, I was introduced to this band through a friend becuase i had a AC/DC thing going on and still do.
I like the clean down to earth, no bull shit Rock and Rock.. The new bands today , can't even come close.. It too bad the way things go in life, must have been a wild ride. but the music will live on. Thanks for that.. U guys did some great music. , like this one , love the intro's Rick
They never had a bad song! Caught them in Edmonton once...was one helluva great show with a wicked sound!
I love that feeling I get when I discover these old great rock bands I have never heard of before.
I saw them play at the Troubadour in Hollywood back around 1990? I had never heard of them. Not many people there but I remember the guitars sounded incredible - RAW! The lead guitar player was smoking hot!
I got over 1000 lps, and the opening three tracks of this record are probably the best start to an album I've ever heard
Kicking it. Love this anthem. One of my favorite bands of all time!!!
Frank c Starr baby!!! da man
Dimwit and Frankie R.I.P
These guys were fuckin' Great.....ROCK ON
Damn this song still sounds awesome! Huge fan of them, Arc Angels, Badlands and Cry of Love.
i miss Frank & Ruby Starr❤
@GuitarOfTruth Wouldn't compare them to ACDC. More like Black Crowes. These guys blow the Black Crowes away.
jonbomm But they were crazy about AC/DC. Well, Haggis and Dave was.
One of the best rock n' roll albums ever.
If you disagree, that's ok...you're wrong.
Some of the most memorable leads and the distinctive voice/range of the late, great Mr. Starr.
Big fan of Dimwit (even from his Pointed Sticks/Subhumans days). He was a big influence on my drumming.
RIP.
not many can match Frank Starr! the cat was cool!
rock in is Ma business
seen these guys in 1992 in kelowna bc canada…….phenomenal show……excellent live band
"Nobody Said It Was Easy" is on that list: Required Listening For Everyone !!! Especially these youngsters Merissa Xhelili said it all -kid's NEVER heard of them? WTF? One of the VERY BEST ROCK RECORDS EVER MADE....how go have some fucking fun! Best lyric: "You got the keys to my house and my heart/But you ain't got the keys to my Chevrolet"
Zeb VanZandt Zeb there was a five song EP released a couple years after....and that's it! I am lucky to have that in my collection as well. There is also a DVD that was released after THAT called "Left For Dead" that I have never been able to get my hands on....such a great great guitar-based band...so much potential, amazing singer, songs, song-writing, and quality musicians.....
love this song and this band. Love that sound. we are what we are... Good tunes, lovin' it forever.
Rock N Roll: some guys can handle it...some can't.
I saw these guys in Vancouver. We got to the venue early so we had dinner there and the guys showed up for soundcheck. We hung out and eventually ended up shooting some pool with them and having a few drinks until showtime. We stuck around after and partied til closing. Nicest bunch of guys and a killer show. It was so sad to hear about Ken, a well known fixture in the Vancouver music scene. They had just been signed by a major if I remember correctly. I got along particularly well with Frank and was shocked to hear of his passing as well. Life can be a real dick sometimes.
This has always been my favorite "tfh" song, i like the guitar, and the chorus.... the whole band rocks!
Pure, simple, blues rock. Sheer energy and vibe. Unbelievable how they could take the most basic riffs and rip so much power, heart and presence out of them. It takes serious and unprecedented talent to make that happen. In my top 4 albums since the day it came out.
miss you Frankie
Excellent Rock Band.. I played them on My Duke Box in My Hometown Motorcycle Rock Bar back in the 90s.. Rocking is My Business.. 🏍️ HARLEYLUYAH
Рок 🎸 навсегда
Love this album.
GREAT SONG 👍
Too many people have bought into the lie that the hard rock scene was all glam, and then Nirvana single-handedly changed it all to grunge overnight. The reality is that there were, for starters, plenty of hard rock bands like this circa 1990 with a southern or bluesy style: The Four Horsemen, The Black Crowes, London Quireboys, Dan Baird, Brother Cane, Junkyard, etc. Hell, even bands like Cinderella, Badlands, and Tesla ditched the hairspray and were going more in that direction.
Man!! This band was so good!! R.I.P Frank!! This was the making of something awesome!! But it doesnt always end like a fairytale.. such a shame!! They were on their way to bigger things!! But the things they did are still good!! We got cheated!!
Since I bought this album it has been within arm reach of my turntable. Some good solid jams here. It's a shame there arent about 5 more albums from this band. A shame
Criminaly underated album R.I.P. Frank and Dimwit
One my favorite Metallica tunes! The Four Horsemen lol.
Another kick ass song by the horsemen, I really miss them.
This is so ultra! This is philosophy and words to live by. Hope there is a concert schedule out there for all the fans who just love y'all. Please post for devoted fans.
Killer band don't know what happened to them.Great Jam l was a teenagerin the late70s.l believe the Best decade by far for rock.l think we have lost that kind for good 👍
much harder in sound than their first effort , and less easy dizzy sound alike , GREAT ...
And what if those fuckers did the TWO best HARD ROCK albums of the 90's, at least?
Loved it then, still rockin' now!
Great album
RIP this band and the members that rocked it...damn they were really..REALLY good!
Should have been put with the elites! Top 10 band to get together and kick ass. All the way across the board. Someone is one hell of a writer they all kick it!
Derelict bonded servants,
You are a blessing to me and my family, Amen
David James West, a Christian man
@GuitarOfTruth What the hell did you get so defensive and nasty about? I was doing the same thing that you just "spouted" off to me, that you were doing... AS WAS MY RIGHT! If you can't handle repercussion from the spew that comes out of your mouth, then keep it shut. Name calling and shit? Seriously? What are you 10? And it sounds nothin' like acdc, learn your bands dude...
Holy shit! 90's flashback.👍 Rocked out to this tune back in LA.
Raise your glasses is right!! The four horsemen rocked on disc and live. saw them in detroit after this album came out. AWESOME SLIDE GUITAR WORK! Gettin pretty good at barely gettin by is good also. Check out LIARS AND THIEVES new album

I got to see these dudes twice in 91 and once in 1994 even got in a verbal with Frank back in 1994 he was being a fucking prick! I still love these guys the last "real" rock band RIP Frank and Dim!
I can't fucking believe that Detroit rock radio ignores these guys like they don't exist... Playing the same old shit over and over and calling themselves classic rock radio...
That’s my brother . 😢
Omg I'm so sorry. These guys are legend I loved them. STILL DO.
they were out at the same time as the black crowes both with similar sound but i think guys have more attitude and rock alot harder then the crowes.
i have a couple great pics of frankie on stage in syracuse new york back in the early 90's. if yo would like to see them.

wow you guys fuckin rock. Please do the best of the four horsemen cd sometime soon so more people can jam to the best fuckin music ever played.
Dam right...hard rock n rolling. Sad their not around. True Rock.
@GuitarOfTruth
Why do you bother watching it, if all that you are going to do is put it down? If ya don't like it, don't watch it.
How the fuck the world doesnt know about this album will always haunt me
Words can't describe it. FUCKIN AWESOME!!! Too bad about their luck. They would have been more awsome along the way.
