The Cult was a band ahead of their time and were criminally underappreciated. I think they should be put into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
💯
I couldn't agree more.
Right that's how you know it's a sham
Better then g n r.
You are so on point
I've been listening to THE CULT for over 40yrs. I'm 58yrs old. I grew up in the 80's. I was born 1965 raised in all the best ROCK N ROLL that came out of the 70's and 80's. I'm listening to them as I type this at 6:05 EST JUNE 19TH, 2023. They will always be part of my teenage years growing up.
Man we are getting old. Born in 66 for me and I love the Cult. So many good times I had driving around blasting them

One of the best rock tunes I've ever heard. It has it all. Great vocals, great guitar, great lyrics and lots of pure emotion. It's pure Rock and Roll.

Exactly
Seriously
But, they always have us.
Absolutely. If this was played around a younger person that never heard of them they would easily think this song is recent. I would have never thought they were around in the 80s.

Dennis, you are AS YOUNG AS YOU FEEL...United in rock music, Brother!
Dennis Constantine awesomeness, keep it going,it’s the best.
13. Years and i think ill take a shirt
Personally, I think this is one of the best hard rock songs ever.
Yeah it's on my list too...he's on another level vocally, the rest of the band could have not even showed up and it would be no less...He kinda reminds me of Dion from the 60's...vocals that murder guitars whenever they want.
Personally I think you're right
It's up there with some of the best of them for sure, but I'll tell you that this sob can dance way better then most of any rock star ,believe that..
Agreed 🔥👍😎
@supersonic key lime pie I was 11 or 12 I think when Electric was released...it would be a profound understatement to say that album shaped me...love this track but, and this will offend some, it's beneath every single song on electric....for me....that album is top 5 for me...all time.
Okay, I just have to say watching Ian Astbury singing Fire Woman is the greatest thing since sliced bread!!! That voice...that hair...that face...yup, that's what my dreams were made of back in the day. Now as a "mature" woman in my fifties, I still rock out to Fire Woman cranked up as loud as my neighbors will tolerate. Just the best band, best song, best everything. The Cult, they don't make them like that anymore.
This music is absolute dreck
Me to he was so gorgeous
Guy could move to the beat also
Same! I got a shock 10 years ago when my daughter walked in with a serious fella. Double of Ian in this video. I choked a bit. Now my son in law I love tormenting him with it and tales of how I had posters on my walls years ago haha
Same. And don't forget his moves
One of the most underrated bands in history.
Oh fuck off with your "underrated". Bull-bloody-shit
Per me non sono stati mai sottovalutati sono conosciuti in tutto il mondo hanno fatto da tutte le parti concerti
You have a bizarre idea of what "underrated" means...
He/they are stellar, he always reminded me of a cross between Jim Morrison and Steve Tyler. He has awesome stage presence and can SING !!!! He's still sounding great today !!
The voice is one that as soon as you hear it, you know who it is. No one else sounds like him.
Like Stevie Nicks or Cher.
Truth
Kat Martin2016 Well, Ralf Gyllenhammar in Mustach is really close..!
jimron Who?
GREATest band ever, they are the best!
That voice and gorgeous long black hair! Saw the Cult live about 13 years ago, and they were phenomenal!
And he moves pretty well too on stage. Very sexy.
Oh I can I imagine how incredible that must've been 💥🤟🤘❤️ ... I'm totally envious
There's just something about this song that's magical.
Loved how he sang, his hair, how he dressed and moved. Great band!
He's got some moves, to be sure. Looks like he's having fun.

@Fred Carpenter That’s okay I guess it didn’t have the same effect I prefer Ian. I belief Jim Morrison did similar still prefer Ian.

Ian Astbury is such a badass frontman and I feel bad for not giving this band the respect they deserve. Forgive me and crank it loud!

Loved this as a teen, love it now. This band should have been huge - we 70s and 80s kids were absolutely spoiled with great music!
Sally B...yes! 70/80s were the best decades for music! This song I heard a friend while living in an apt complex in Florida (early 90s)& he had just seen The Cult I'm concert..i absolutely fell In love w/ the music (cassette) & with him🥰..He ended up letting me borrow the cassette & I never gave it back😬😁
Don’t forget the 90s

I'm 55 and this song is still as good as the day it was released lastime I seen the cult was early 90s at the Seattle arena these guys brought the house down by far one of the best out of a multitude of concerts I've been to so far in my life time they should have been way more famous than they were given credit for
This band is so underrated it makes me cry...
Not by this character
Was on a plane flying from San Francisco to Hawaii and my friend bought a Walkman I bought this cassette one of the best flights of my life
Never underrated...they were huge back in the day.

These guys are criminally underrated. I've worn out 5 copies of Sonic Temple.
Fuck yeah, true believer
Yep 👍
Especially loud.
what do you want?...for them to be on the front page next to the Kardashians ? come on now..get lit
They got a lot of love during the 80s. Unfortunately, they’ suffered a similar fate of most good rock hard rock bands going into the 90s - and Ceremony was largely ignored due to lack of marketing and focus on grunge. Only a few already huge (Guns ‘n Roses and Metallica are two) bands that weathered that era.
Who's listening in 2023? One of the greatest voices/bands ever!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Been listen since 1990! And still listening

Unfortunately the days of good music has long past
how bout the 60s ?
I am coming too
70's are much better
Good lord, 'Fire Woman' is pure rock 'n' roll magic! The combination of Billy Duffy's killer guitar riffs and Ian Astbury's sultry vocals is absolutely irresistible. This song has a swagger and sexiness that is impossible to ignore, making it an instant classic. And that music video... talk about iconic! From the fire-dancing to the leather-clad motorcycle riding, it's pure rockstar fantasy. The Cult were truly at the top of their game with this one. So come on, crank up the volume and let 'Fire Woman' set your soul ablaze!

Good rock songs do that to me too. You don't know your speed until its too late, because you are jamming, with the wind in your hair. Kudos.
WHERE? nobody, and I mean NOBODY plays this on the radio. As a truck driver, I've heard a lot of loop stations, but never any Cult.

These guys, The Sisters of Mercy, and Depeche Mode were all distinct (and often experimental) "flavors" of British Gothic Rock in the mid to late 80's and early 90's.
