One of the best bands I had the privilege of doing lights & sound for! Then Dimwit, (Ken Montgomery) died. He was the original drummer for DOA. The Four Horsemen were contracted to do 4 albums. Their second album, without Dimwit, had "A Song For Absent Friends", a tribute song for Dimwit. A year after that, Frankie Starr crashed his Harley & was in a coma, for 3 years, before he died. The band didn't record the 3rd or 4th albums. Dimwit & Frankie, may your glasses always be full!

was there ever a best opening to a music video????
I hate it that genius like this never made it to the masses ....when you think of all the shite that made it big it shows that there really is no justice in this world ...
I just thank the gods of rock that the video is still here for us to enjoy

I heard this on a rock station the other day and the DJ intro'd it with ....
" I'll now play you a song by a band that should have ruled Earth"
Like that DJ , I too recall first hearing The Four Horsemen and this tune and thought... "man, these guys are fuckin' great" .
    Awesome band.. great song.

rocked Canada with this band in the early 90s. As there FOH tech . Dave Lezmi was not from the cult , he was from LA, they had Dimwit playing drums , he was from BC and the singer and bass player were also from LA . They had great response but had tragidys. First Dimwit OD and then the The singer was in a motorcyle accident and never recovered.

Great lyrics awesome image one of my all time favorite songs to this day. I lift weights to this song all the time it really gets me going on days that I don't want to lift.

@Gov502010... Close... The drummer was Ken "Dimwit" Montgomery and he was the brother of Danzig's drummer, Chuck Biscuits. Chuck took over briefly on drums for the Horsemen after Dimwit died. Frank C. Starr died, 4 years after the accident, from injuries suffered when he was hit by a drunk driver on his motorcycle. Ron Young (Little Caesar) took over on vocals.

I got this album on vinyl off the fan club website about 2 years. Only 2000 pressed. Re-mastered for vinyl. It was almost 5 months late and cost me $105 CAD. But that was a walk in the park compared to the 25 years I had already invested in the dream that one day I could drop the needle and listen to the rich raw dynamic tones rip through my Harmon Kardon receiver and pound out my klipsch speakers. The Four Horseman on the ONLY medium that can correctly represent their album the way it was intended to be heard. Not some hissing tape or digitally encoded bits that use an algorithm to predict the next 1 or 0 or combination thereof. That ain't fucking music on those lil silver compressed pieces of shit. That is like saying folgers is coffee or cubic zarconia is diamond or Alice In Chains is still making music. Its all a lie. Cranking Rocking is My Business and adjusting the sub. Now if that's so good why am I still fucking broke? ;p
