I love how methodically you tackle this - that makes it approachable for anyone. I just got the game knowing it was mostly going to be a solo endeavor for me and I feel pretty good about setting it up tonight and giving it a go! Thank you!
Excellent video!! I just got this game and haven’t played it multiplayer OR solo yet. I was struggling a bit with the solo rules and your video will certainly help!
Thanks so much Rodney!
Great video. Really clear and very well-edited!
Thank you for such an informative guide, it was well put together and made perfect sense, and helped me to grasp a few things that I was confused by.
Excellent! One of the very best solo videos I’ve ever seen. I had a heck of a time figuring it out in the rules but you made it clear. Thanks!
Many thanks for this video!
It is one of the best solo tutorial I’ve seen!
Excellent explained. more clearness on the movement than in the rulebook. Helped me much!
I found the Scythe Automa manual incredibly confusing, despite finding the regular manual adequate. This video bridged the gap! I’m setting up to play my first game now!
Excelent Video! I looked for a one like this. Very well explained :) Thanks!
This video is INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much
Thanks this was a nice refresher for using the automa after a 4 year break from Scythe.
Thanks a lot, it was a very helpfully video. I liked it a lot and learned from you!
ya i like alot of the board game channels but yours is clearest and most well produced. nice job
Great video! Very helpful!
Very good video ! One remark at 23:09, the Automa gains a combat star in this case. Like you said, the move actions of the Automa takes the most time. But once familiar, I goes rather smooth.
Thanks so much Danny! You are correct at 23:09. I'll add this note in the description.
Great explanation. This made me understand more things.
Amazing tutorial! Thanks so much!
Its been awhile since you uploaded a video. Im just starting to look at your videos. Certainly, very few people can graciously and consistently explain How-to-Play a board game. You are awesome. Im a father of two, my son and wife learn Scythe because of you. Hope you are doing fine along with your love ones.
One of the best tutorials I've ever seen.
Great as usual!
Thanks for the kind words Luis!
This video is great! Thank you from Germany :-)
Thank you for this great video.
Thank you for the great tutorial!
What a good video. Thanks !
Great video! Thank you!
Thanks Christian!
Awsome, this helped me a lot!
Very well explained!
Thanks Lines42!
expertly done my boy
After reading the rules, I tried two different times playing solo but was confused on how the Automa moves. This made it much more clear. Thank you!
Great video
Thanks! Great video. I can now play solo.
Awesome! So glad I could help!
Good video, thank you for the breakdowns and timestamps.
I know the expansions add a lot more automa rules, anything in the works for those? (Wind Gambit/Rise of Fenris)
Thanks Vincent! Nothing in the works for those as of yet, but will consider your recommendations!
Scythe is by far favorite game and the only game that I bought expansions.
But it's crazy how my brain can't understand how to move Automa units.
I am using ScyteKick to learn but I'm always wrong :\
I'll keep watching your vid in loop... it might click at some point 😅
Any chance that you'd tackle the Glen More II Highland Games Automa in a future video?
The way you say 'Automa' makes me lol
I'm a bit confused about the move worker. Are you allowed to place it on a lake territory of it's an enemy unit on land (assuming the human player can't go on lakes). It's an enemy unit in the autometas neighborhood but not in the human combat units neighborhood.
Yes I'm confused on this as well. I thought workers couldn't move onto lakes?
Erik, I took another look at the Automa rulebook. I just got this game and only played it once as Solo. On page 1, something I missed/forgot. It specifically says "the automa treats lakes as normal territories (hexes) ....". So that's why I believe it shows the worker going there b/c the automa is allowed to do that. Whereas us normal players can't.
@@starshadow8857 Thanks, I think I got this eventually. My question was also about if for example the human player had a mech on the factory. Unless the human in this specific example had the ability to walk on lakes, the same territory would still be valid, but if they had, the worker would end up on the forrest next to the automa base instead.
I think this tutorial video was great, but the concept on neighbourhoods definatelly needed more explanation (or a video of its own). Even the app that someone have developed get this part wrong when it comes to lakes in some specific scenarios.
