      @@mr.ragealot6245 i am not sure about nemesis game, my copy comes later this year. But average size for a token are 10 and 20 mm. And those coin capsules fit those tokens perfectly. Its the other odd sizes that are a pain in the ass, especially if not round shape. Lile hexagon are manageble, but pentagons wont fit perfectly, and will rattle a bit in capsule.

    Most forgotten rule IMO is moving into a room with another character means you do not have to roll for noise. The scout should have used that to get into the room with the pilot after the pilot made the antidote. Backseat play is easy I know ...

      Ha, I got over excited playing this one for sure. 😂 This is my sort of game. I LOVE this theme so much. I think what I love most of all is a "cinematic" experience in a board game and boy does Nemesis deliver that. I used to write screenplays and I could just see the movie of this playthrough in my mind as it all unfolded. That really gets my juices flowing. I actually had to edit out a few particularly embarrassing screams on some of those dice rolls. 🤫 Thanks so much for checking out the video, Shantel!

    I loved this game. Sold it to a friend when I moved away from the gaming group. I need to get myself a copy.
    We had a house rule to make the combat better for us. Roll both combat dice and use the best result.

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  Рік тому +3

      I like that house rule, especially if you are finding the game too hard. It can definitely get out of hand quickly. You need a few good rolls and a few good token pulls over the course of the game. Those swings of luck are part of the survival experience in this game, but it can feel hopeless when every roll sucks. I might have that house rule kick in once a character has a serious wound. Or after they roll a blank. Or they can spend two cards to get advantage. Something like that. Interesting idea. Thanks so much for watching!

  • @PickleTheHutt
    @PickleTheHutt Рік тому +2

    I believe the official rules clarifications on BGG say the careful movement rule overrides the danger and silence icons on tokens. So, in round 2 you should not have resolved the danger icon since you used careful movement and instead can place 1 noise in a corridor without noise.

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  Рік тому +1

      That is good to know. Thanks for the clarification. I personally hate that rule and will never play that way. So we can make this an official Shaggi house rule. Token overrides the movement. Much better. Thanks for checking out the video!

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  Рік тому +1

      @@palmcrazysg Sure thing. I can briefly describe my process, but keep in mind I'm an amateur who just sort of made up things as I went along, so I'm sure there is a better way of doing things. In short, I use a full frame DSLR (Canon R6) on a C-Stand above my table. I have mine hooked to a Ninja V for recording the footage. I record in 4K 24fps. Take the footage into free Davinci Resolve and place the 4K footage onto a 1080p timeline. That is how I can zoom in and reframe without losing quality. You'll need to go to settings and set your image scaling to "center crop with no resizing." I also take video close ups of cards and components for the cutaway shots. And I film B-Roll separately after I finish with the playthrough. Then just hours and hours of editing. That's it -- the secret is a good camera and a ton of hard work. Good luck. I hope you are able to launch your channel and have fun doing it. Let me know if you need more help or advice.

  • @PickleTheHutt

    Characters in the escape pod must also roll for noise (they are considered to be in the room for that escape pod) if an event card or bag development requires a noise roll.
    So, the Scout should also have rolled for noise on that last round's bag development which would have greatly increased the chance of an encounter.

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  Рік тому +6

      Ah, thanks for that rules clarification. That's a shame -- another rule I don't particularly like in a co-op setting. I guess I could have just taken off in the escape pod with the Scout and technically won. I don't like that either -- I would rather treat co-op like in Robinson Crusoe ... everyone must live! Since I am playing that way, I think I feel okay house-ruling this one as well and saying a character in the escape pod doesn't need to make a noise roll during the bag development phase. That just feels overly punishing in a way that isn't fun or rewarding. But it is good to know. Thanks!

    Amazing video quality as usual, you could sell games just because your playthroughs can be watched like a good movie. I watched Outer Rim twice, it's so colorful! This game is massive and a full pledge is a lot of money. Could you put in the description what parts of the crowdfunding campaign were used for this game (e.g. just the base game) if you know it?

    • @voyager5333

      Ah, that is a good question. It is 99.9% base game only as far as I can remember. Base characters, base cards. Yeah, other than the Catstronaut mini, I believe this is basic vanilla Nemesis. I will make that clear in the description. Thanks so much for your compliments. I try to make each video fit the theme of the game in terms of color grading and music, but I'm very much an amateur at all this, so I don't actually know what I'm doing. 😂 I'm glad you enjoy it. Epic. I think you made a couple of rules errors (who wouldn't), but they were not in your favor. One that I recall--if you move without making noise, or carefully, you ignore any 'silence' or 'danger' token that's on the room you're exploring.

      @@enginucar1135 Yes, very lucky, as I said often in the game. Interestingly, I had some bad luck on noise rolls early, which probably should have doomed me. But that was followed by lucky rolls and bag pulls that didn't punish me. I got away with it. Same thing with the queen. Unlucky to spawn her. Very lucky to kill her, which was extremely helpful. Also, the events overall were gentler than usual. One badly timed event could have cost me the game. But a little luck is necessary, and I don't mind that in my survival games, especially when the storytelling is this epic. Thanks for watching!

      There is a different layout on the back of the board which is more difficult, but you can't change the layout other than that. I haven't played Lockdown unfortunately, so I cannot give a comparison. Someone else in the community might be able to help with that. I think it is safe to say that solo/co-op was not the way the game was designed to be played. So there are some flaws, and you won't always get a satisfying game. Playing with one character is particularly hit or miss. I'm willing to overlook all that because you usually get exciting stories like the one shown in the playthrough. Ah, those are the regular tokens inside plastic coin capsules. I discuss this accessory in my video Top 10 Board Game Accessories here: ua-cam.com/video/tEvrhrVXkEA/v-deo.html. I have links in the description for them I believe or just search for them on Amazon. Thanks for watching!

      Yeah, I think so. I'm not sure what else could happen. I'm sure as hell not bringing the Queen back -- I killed her fair and square! :) Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub! I really appreciate the support.

    Says he keeps forgetting about not making noise if moving into a room that has a player. Immediately forgets about that rule next turn.

    Is this game basically pure luck fest. You just hope your friend or you dont die the first 20 min of game night

    • @TotallyTabled
      @TotallyTabled  7 місяців тому +1

      Not at all. You could get ridiculously unlucky, but I've never seen it. It is definitely not a pure luck fest. The game is challenging but winnable -- exactly what you want from a survival game. Thanks for watching!

      @@TotallyTabled im on the fence of getring it because i live survival horror. Is it very replayable? Or do the few objectives get repetitive?
