"Saving" a 30 year old kitchen knife

- I´m back! This video is about kind of restoring a completely rotten kitchen kife. It has seen many uses and even more sharpening devices that messed it up. I tried to save what´s to save, gave it a new handle and made it fit again.
Hope you enjoy!

Great stuff Thomas!!! You are the next Bob Kramer.
Excellent work and much more patience than I ever had. Keep up the good work
The end product is great! The original belly of the knife is sometimes a feature of filleting knives, I have two kitchen knives that match the original curve but a flat blade makes a lot more sense to me! Subbed!
Klasse gemacht sieht und schneidet super 👍👍👍
Danke Martin!
I just subscribed to your channel because of your work on the new Marble Machine. Thanks so much for your awesome channel!
That´s awesome! Thanks you for watching and subscribing :)
Pilot´s Workshop You’re welcome, Thomas
+1
Enjoyed & Thumbs Up
Nice work and a great channel 👍 I imagine English is not your first language but you speak it wonderfully. One very small correction - abrasives are graded according to "grit" not "grid".
Thanks :D I will make sure to pronounce it better :)
I slice my daily bread with a similar knife and sharpen it every 2+ month. No complains about Rostfrei sharpness.
Have you ever had a real damast-knive with this hard forged steel? This is sharp. A cousin of me is a cook and works the whole day with such a toy. There are worlds between this one and stainless steel knives. And i have enough experiences in sharpening (and polishing) knives. Of course the damast-knives is not for dishwasher.
@@alfredneumann4692 A Mora triflex, I don't know if it counts a "damast". More than three layer being more decorative than functional as there is no hard way to stop carbon dispersion.
