    I can´t believe it! It is a workbench! In this episode we arrive at a major milestone as we put in the t-slot rails and the holepattern, enabling all main functions of this workbench.
    From now on we will only keep adding practicality.
    This is the ninth video in a longer series about making a versatile Workbench/Workstation. This project is especially awesome for small workshops but the general construction methods can be used for any size wood shop!
    Here´s a short list of tools that I use or that went into the workbench. These are affiliate links that will lead you straight to the amazon page of the item.
    Amazon USA:
    My integrated Router:
    amzn.to/2oz78GM
    Kreg Routerplate (predrilled for my integrated router) - now black
    amzn.to/2ozv64B
    Kreg Routerplate - not predrilled (for any router to self drill)
    amzn.to/2F1N2uT
    A cheap drill guide, similar to mine (not high precision)
    amzn.to/2GR8xzd
    Amazon Germany:
    My Twin-Screw Vise:
    Doppelspindelvorderzange:
    amzn.to/2FttO1B
    My integrated Router:
    Meine Einbau-Fräse:
    amzn.to/2p1XFaj
    Kreg Routerplate (predrilled for my integrated router) - now black
    Fräsplatte - vorgebohrt für meine Einbaufräse:
    amzn.to/2oZLOtr
    Kreg Routerplate - not predrilled (for any router to self drill)
    Fräsplatte - nicht vorgebohrt:
    amzn.to/2Db6h3D
    My drill guide (not high precision)
    Mein Bohrständer (keine hohe Qualität, Nacharbeit nötig):

    Really great series, you obviously are a great craftsman, but you have a real talent for teaching too. The descriptions and explanations are brilliant! Please keep up the good work, its a joy to watch your videos. Its the best workbench build I've seen so far and I've watched loads of them, hoping to glean some inspiration to upgrade my rough old monstrosity of a bench!

    Enjoyed watching the workbench series. Great job and attention to detail. One suggestion, if you are going to use the bench as a fees out table you will should extend the tracks from the table saw to your bench. To allow any your crosscut sled and alike full range. Unless your table saw is taller then your bench.

    • @pilotsworkshop4554
      @pilotsworkshop4554  6 років тому +2

      Thank you! You have a good eye, I will cut those soon. I recently bought an new-to-me, used table saw that I still have to introduce to my workbench. I will then make those cuts for the tracks of that one.

    Eine Wahnsinns-Werkbank, die überlebt Dich bestimmt noch.
    Bislang eine der massivsten Konstruktionen, die ich auf YT gesehen habe. Da kommen viele, viele andere auf YT kaum mit. Weiter so!

    Pretty cool workbench, nice build! As you mentioned in your trailer that you try to make your workshop feel like home, what kind of floor is that (laminate?) and how did you install it? TY and keep up the good work!

    • @pilotsworkshop4554
      @pilotsworkshop4554  6 років тому

      Thank you! It´s a PVC (or linoleum) floor, so we just rolled it out when we renovated the garage. I like it because it´s easy to clean and spilled wood glue peels right off after drying. Cheers!

    Nice bench, I build mine 40 years ago, ouch I'm telling my age! Looks like you do not have a 5 inch random angle sander, it is cheaper to run as it uses a lot less sandpaper and faster than that antique does, I have not used mine in over 20 years. Looks like I'll be throwing that out this week.

    • @pilotsworkshop4554
      @pilotsworkshop4554  6 років тому

      Wow then I should really get one. Mine does use sandpaper quite quickly and it´s loud...

    Workbench build is very interesting. However, could you build a small project in between the continuing workbench build? Maybe a jewelry box from scrap wood? Or just about anything else would be good also.

    interesting thing i found with routers, if you get that the router is pushing away, try going in the opposite direction. you can also check which way the bit rotates and avoid the mistake all together

    • @pilotsworkshop4554
      @pilotsworkshop4554  6 років тому

      Yes. I will absolutely look into that. I´m kind of a newbie when it comes to routers. But I will do much more with them in the future. Thanks for the advice!

      Hey :D Mine is an "Elektra Beckum HC 260". It was made around 1990. The company doesn´t exist anymore but Metabo took over most of their stuff and is still producing it today. I bought it second hand. But there are many different makers of those machines. The prices vary from 800-2000 € depending on the brand.
