I switched from streamlabs to streamelements and it was the best thing i ever did. The sad part is that in streamelements we cant merge account to show the alerts from different platforms to a single one.
Hi man, the hats are cool and all. It is clear that you are experimenting with it, which is fine. You may want to narrow it down to 1 hat per video. Great content btw!
Thanks! And don't worry, I do tone it down a lot in future videos. I just wanted to make an interesting first impression for my first video back on UA-cam again.
It's been a while since I used StreamElements, but I think there's possibly an option on the alert. If not, you could always have two alert elements - one just for text and the other just for the animation
Personally I would recommend getting a capture card and doing the actual streaming from your PC, but if you can't do that, then I think it's only SLOBS that has mobile streaming capability.
Thankx for a very informative post. Brand new to streaming, but, I think I will tuff-out the curve & go with Elements. Also recommended by Harris @Alpha Gaming & many others I trust. Keep it up!!!!
Thanks for the help bruh and I've tried streamlabs and it want me to plug-in cords and such just to get audio and i use a wireless headset with mic. But i will now download streamelements and give it a try and Thanks again bruh☺
Hi Isaac, Great video thanks. I've spent the last month learning OBS studio really well and recently subscribed to Restream for a year as I wanted to stream to multi platforms. Then I've come across the ability to have alerts as a finishing touch etc so it has brought me to your video. The Streamelements looks like the best route for me. Is it possible to still use restream at the end?
Hi Neil, you should be able to, though your alerts may only integrate with one of the platforms you're streaming to, unless Restream has their own alerts system. Personally, I have many reasons that I give people to NOT use Restream, but if you think it's the right move for you and your content, then I can understand the attraction of it.
genuinely only ever used streamlabs, and to be quite honest the way it works is pretty lack luster, i have just made twitch affiliate so I'm gonna give stream elements a whirl
There's a lot you can do with alerts on both platforms, but StreamElements does have a lot more to offer. Most of the customisation you see with alerts will require you to animate them yourself unfortunately, as StreamElements doesn't have a set of GIFs for you to use. I suppose you could upload a GIF found online if you wanted to.
@@IsaacHarrisHolt I ended up moving to streamelements where the audio quality wasn't an issue. Tried messing with bit-rate and making it mono channel and stuff to no avail.
Interesting question! Probably not, I'm afraid, if they're built with StreamLabs. Some stuff will transfer, but a lot won't. You can probably copy any alert animations and things across manually though
At the time of this video I was using an EQ software called EqualizerAPO with the ReaPlugs VST. I don't have much experience with audio, so I had help with the setup, but you should be able to play around and get the audio to your liking.
Great video and helpful tips and tricks but please, drop the script you keep eyeing and be your self!! You're great! Simply edit and clip out your self going over your notes and then keep the takes of you speaking of them. GL!
Thanks! That means a lot. I keep eyeing the script because it was my first video back from a long hiatus, and I hadn't really done scripted content before, so it was just a case of getting sued to it. My newer videos still have a script, but there's a lot less looking at it 😂
It's theoretically possible, but you'll get better performance with OBS Studio, and if you're using StreamElements for things, there's no real reason to use SLOBS.
It's absolutely naff, right? I really don't see the need for them to charge for a lot of what they charge for. I understand perhaps having SOME premium features, but they've hidden just about everything that distinguishes them from StreamElements behind a pay wall, and a lot of beginner streamers are young and can't afford a subscription like Prime. It's a joke, really.
i genuinely only started using stream labs because it had an option to thank my viewers for subs, follows and donos etc, stream elements just looks like the way to go for everything.
Absolutely! However, it won't play alerts for StreamLabs donations, so you'll have to use the SE ones. Also, if you're using StreamElements anyway, you might as well just use OBS.live. StreamLabs OBS is an awful piece of software.
Hi Isaac, thanks for your videos. Can you put something together on using different chat bots ? (nightbot, streamlabs etc.) What are the advantages of each one?
Hey! Most of the chat bots are honestly very similar. However, I recommend StreamElements because you can use a custom name on the bot for free (you have to create a second Twitch account, but it's still free). Other than that, however, none of them have particularly outstanding features.
Great video .. but dude .. dont read your script while you're recording .... study it or just cut clips and edit ..... constantly looking down is proper setting me off hahaa.
Honestly it depends on what you're doing. If you're streaming console gameplay, no. Otherwise it's very very useful and a wonderful investment for things other than just streaming.
Thanks for the feedback! I only do it in this one video (outside of small character sketches), so if you take a look at some of my other content you'll notice it doesn't happen.
Hi! This is my first time seeing your channel, found it while looking for an overlay software for my music streams. I hope you don't take this is as negative criticism, but to me it was a bit challenging to focus on the content due to the constant hat switching and eye movement. I'm sure the first is part of your brand and it seems I'm the only one distracted by it anyway, but on the second, if you do a lot of videos like this I'd really suggest one of those small teleprompters UA-camrs use, or doing shorter takes so you don't have to read. This is a video that recently helped me a lot with that: ua-cam.com/video/M6kMVQXzOWY/v-deo.html As for my actual comment: thank you! This really helped me decide, I was already biased towards StreamElements because StreamLabs doesn't seem to have a Mac version but wasn't sure if they were the same thing. After seeing your explanation, since I have some experience with streaming it seems StreamElements is the way to go.
Do you guys use StreamElements or StreamLabs? Or perhaps you use some other software.
Let me know!
Thank you for helping me switch from streamlabs to streamelements after seeing this!
StreamElements is great. Good luck with it!
dude you changing hats is awesome, I love that you go through putting in more effort just for a hat change, I LOVED IT, thank you so much dude!
Thanks! I really appreciate that. I love my hats so much 😂
Man, I mean, you really do have A LOT of hats 😂
Soooooo many hats!
Shhhh.... We don't talk about the hats
You don't have Arthur Morgan's hat 😎
I think ima go stream elements. Although I'm new. I like the freedom to customize my overlays n alerts.
Awesome! You're gonna love it
Tnks bro, I like your voice, your video was the first video full in english that I understand 100% xd
I'm glad you found the video helpful!
I love those hats tbh
Thank you!
Ambient Gold = song, I recognized it immediately because I’m always using Streambeats lol
StreamBeats is brilliant!
I switched from streamlabs to streamelements and it was the best thing i ever did. The sad part is that in streamelements we cant merge account to show the alerts from different platforms to a single one.
It's a bit of a shame, but unless you're restreaming, which I don't recommend, you shouldn't need to
This was majorly helpful! I am definitely gonna check out stream elements! 🙏🏻
I absolutely recommend it!
nice hat (also changed after intro)
(well sry u change it after every clip....i commented too early lmao)
Haha thanks! I do happen to be a massive fan of the hats
Amazing video btw, you've got a new fan!!

I much prefer StreamElements. There's just so much more you can do with it!
@@IsaacHarrisHolt Hopefully you see this, Do you know how to make the Alerts with Text to the left of it.

thx really helped me to decide. make a video on tee spring stuff u were saying

This video help me get started to steam on twitch. Thanks!!
Awesome! Good luck with your streaming journey.
Thank you, this was so handy!
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
I just liked for the fez.
Hahah thanks!
Streamelements 30mb max upload for files is crap though. Especially for streamers with custom animated alerts.
You should convert your files to the WebM format. You can see how to do that here: ua-cam.com/video/ABJsOpSh8oQ/v-deo.html
@@IsaacHarrisHolt I am using webm format
The files are about 59MB for the custom alerts
In that case your alerts are probably either too long or too high res. A WebM alert shouldn't be that large
@@IsaacHarrisHolt okay thank you for the response

My Streamlabs alerts aren’t working! That’s why I switched to Streamelements
StreamElements is amazing by comparison
I have the exact opposite problem. I can’t get stream elements notifications to work for the life of me.
How are you setting them up?

why do the most famous streamers use streamlabs donation thing like Tommy?
Probably because it's what they're used to

ok but why does StreamLabs make my audio sound like xbox 360 voice chat.
That's probably to do with your audio settings within SLOBS. Probably your audio bitrate, if I had to guess.
@@IsaacHarrisHolt I ended up moving to streamelements where the audio quality wasn't an issue. Tried messing with bit-rate and making it mono channel and stuff to no avail.
