Hey @Ying , i was wondering if you have a spotify account~? I have been wishing for a new study playlist. If you dw wanna share, its fine tho, we respect your privacy. 😊
@@yori4107 I have a spotify artists' account but i personally don't prefer to use spotify for listening, sorry! thank you for being interested in a playlist though
@@clouds6799 I think it depends on a few factors but for me the MAIN reason I stream on twitch rather than youtube is because of a few key missing features from youtube! other than things like not having gifted memberships or channel point redeems, I also really cannot tolerate the way edited content gets all lumped together with stream recordings, it makes for a super messy and un-browseable videos list on the channel page, and as someone who makes edited content just as much as stream content, it's an unforgiveable issue with an easy fix and I don't understand why they still havn't fixed it 😭 if none of those are issues for you though, there's not really a big difference IMO! I just like to make sure my content is well-categorized, and also the missing community features are annoying LOL

First of all, those B-roll shots are REALLY good! Next, thank you for making it as simple as you could. Across all 17+ videos that I've watched so far on the same topic, yours is the only one I didn't have to skip sections nor have had to fast forward for stuff. No fluff on your timestamps too. Your decision to chunk up topics for another video is a good call. Lastly, am considering now the sponsored laptop you have just because of that one B-roll shot of you laying flat on the floor because I do that A LOT as well HAHAHHAHAHA THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU YING
I've been streaming for almost 2 years now but I still ALWAYS struggle with the setup. Sources disconnect, windows resize, games freeze... There is not a single stream that works out smoothly but I think the main tip here is taking about 15 minutes before the stream to prep and test. This is so simple but essential! Honestly that's a step I've overlooked and is going to save me much hassle moving forward. Thank you so so much for this video, it's lovely and super clear. You're the best! 💕🌸
As of now, I'm no streamer, but this was really informative for not just streams but general knowledge in case I ever wanted to do something similar, or even if I tried streaming in the future!
i’ve been thinking about streaming soon and this video was a real eye opener ! i’ve had so many questions about how streamers operate their streams and your video really simplified things, especially for new/low budget streamers. thank you so much !
Ngl, I’ve been down the streaming rabbit hole and this is a REALLY good and informative video. Not crazy in depth but enough that I know what questions to ask.
I've been having a hard time figuring things out what other streamers do and you explained and taught it flawlessly and so on-point! Thank you for this!
thank you so much for this video, Ying!! I remember just how overwhelming it felt to be faced with SO MANY features and set ups when I wanted to try streaming for the first time. so I think it was truly a perfect idea how you decided to make this beginner friendly walk-through, it's so comprehensive and at the same time understanding it doesn't require any prior knowledge of streaming set ups. I appreciate it a lot and I'm sure many other beginners trying to familiarise themselves with the ways of streaming will do as well. amazing job for real!!

Hello Ying! It's already been 8 months, and I just really wanna say thank you HAHAH :D I always come back to this tutorial, and I started my first ever twitch stream today! Looking forward to see what the future of this hobby holds :)
I've been streaming for a while now, but wanted to step up my game! I'm glad one of my favorite content creators made a quick guide! Thank you so much! I aspire to be as organized as you one day.

This is so interesting. I don’t stream but my dad does casually (he’s a DJ) and he also works in AV. He recently had to figure out how to do overlays by himself for an event he was working so this video would’ve been perfect… if only it was released sooner lol. Everyone needs to see this guide, and I wish more people cared as much as you about audio. There's a streamer I used to watch regularly who had very scuffed audio which got distorted all the time and was very unpleasant due to the signal clipping above 0 dB all the time. As he got more famous he bought a $500 mic a few months ago and I thought this would finally be the end of the nightmares, but turns out the audio is just as distorted as before because he doesn't know anything about compressors or limiters, and tends to speak quite loudly. I've talked to him twice about this and he doesn't think it's important and just dismisses my feedback. I've now given up and refuse to torture my ears any more. It's such a shame.
