Great video :) Simple and easy step by step! Did all the transition a few days ago and I'm super glad!!!! So far, the only missing part is... I was using the Streamlabs Chat client... for audio / sound command.... And now, I didn't find any other easy way to have that.... (aside the sound alert panel with bits or channel points.).

Only drawback with nerd or die quick import to streamelements, is that it seems to be forced to 1920x1080.
Would be really nice to be able to specify the resolution needed for the import

Honestly I have been DREADING the move, and procrastinating because I thought it was gonna be a nightmare. BUT thanks to your video it's been a breeze some steps of your video weren't needed because I think that streamelements or streamlabs had updates or something lol THANK YOU SOO MUCH
When you transferred your scenes did it automatically make your alerts the same as the were in SLOBS?

good stuff. I had a question is there a way to hide alerts and other scene that you don't want to pop up in the recording? Streamlabs had an option where you can make it visible to stream only or on the recording as well?

Ahhhh, I started to move my alerts and commands manually. I don't have many yet but figuring out the different wildcards ( I think?) to indicate user/sender/etc is a task
Any chatbot with minigames you can add for twitch? Also, is there a way to move multiple theme overlays from slobs to SE. Like I have a couple of themes for chatboxes, alerts, goals etc.

Thanks for doing this, now somebody finally helped me switching, cause switching felt like lots of work for me, but it isn't that complicated. One question: my stream deck doesn't seem to interact with OBS, do I need to reinstall everything in the stream deck or can I just adjust something to make it work?
If you used streamdeck to interact with streamlabs. In options you just have to choose normal OBS instead of streamlabs. As far as I know you have to re-do all from beginning. I might be wrong tho.

Tried using the import feature to pull my Alertbox over from Streamlabs but it seemed to not work properly as my alertbox previously was set to 800x800 and the importer seemed to want to just make everything scale and end up outside of my alertbox's canvas - tried swapping to 1920x1080 to match my canvas size on OBS but it wasn't having it...resigned myself to making an entirely new (and probably better!) alertbox from scratch now on StreamElements' site after repeated attempts to import failed.
Other than that though, swapping to OBS has been pretty simple!
how did you get your twitch chat and activity feed dock overlay to go to the right of the main display window? mine always wants to just dock to the very top going all the way across?
How about the microphone settings like Noise Gate, Compressor and stuff like that? Do I need to change them from scratch?

In need of some help, when transferring it over, when I go into StreamElements, and edit the overlay, my background is just of a small box, and when testing the alerts, the gif image is also super small in the preview window, any way I can fix this?

This video is so usefull! Many thanks man. Howerver there is just one reason why I moved from OBS to SLOBS a few years ago: selective recording / streaming functionality. It means. SLOBS allows you to select if you want to record, stream or both each source of every scene. Any way to do it on OBS today?

hii, i came into an issue with win capture audio and stream elements in obs. when i open se.live in obs, it seems win capture audio is no longer able to function correctly, as my music source doesn't work and i no longer have the option to add application output capture. have you run into this issue? i am struggling to set up stream elements - pls help 😭😅

Thank you for the Video. One Question though. I used OBS Studio with the Streamlabs Widgets and depending on the Scene, StartStream, EndStream or when i was gaming, the alerts were all on different positions on the Screen. I sometimes had 6 or 7 Obs-browser Sources running at the same time. But they were not using any GPU while inactive, just RAM. Now with Streamelements, i can position all the different alerts where i want them to appear and use that one Browser Link, but when i switch to another Scene, the positioning of the Alerts of course cant be set individually in OBS at all.

Do i really need to make 3 or 4 different Layouts in Streamelements and put 3 or 4 different OBS Browser Sources into OBS for each scene ? though the only thing that actually changed is the positioning of the alerts, but its the same Videos and Sounds ?

I already found out that you can duplicate Layers into other Scenes, but i could not find something like USE THE SAME LAYOUT just different positioning only.

And this brings me to another important question. 5-7% GPU Usage for that ONE OBS Browser Source when its active from Streamlabs. I thought no way, all i am animating is a 4 Picture Slideshow and two lines of Labels that is pure text. So i deactivated the scrolling of the text, and the GPU Usage went down to 1% :D I have a 6700xt AMD Gpu.

So yeah, maybe you have a better solution for me how to manage 4 different Scenes, with the same alerts where all that changes is the position of the alerts. With Streamlabs there was also the possibility to use one nested Scene with all the different alerts in there...i dont think there is way to make that work with streamelements.

You can emulate the way StreamLabs works by creating a new Overlay with a custom size and making your alertbox (or whatever widget) fill that up completely, then positioning that entire overlay as you did with the StreamLabs browser sources in OBS before.

I tried Stream Elements a few days ago but the available cloud space is not even enough to hold One scene collection. Meanwhile StreamLabs has unlimited storage. I'm not happy because I wanted to make the switch.

So i had switch back and forth when i started streaming. The issue i have is it doesnt seem to bring my followers. Am i doing something wrong?
Only problem is OBS Studio I had alot of issues with Recording. Well recording with Razer Caputer card and Streamelement So limited for the bot for UA-cam.
THANK YOU for this good overview, i was really upset because of the behaviour of streamlabs in the past and also the fact that they FORCE you to UPDATE what can cause issues. Now i will try to go fully to work with OBS Studio.

Yes. But now you'll have access to the full range of filters instead of the poorly implemented streamlabs ones.
OBS + Streamelements is the way. Do it, do it if you are reading this!
