We are going to be at the PCA Annual Swap Meet (4/27) at the Fair Grounds in Carlisle PA! Come out, say hi, check out the cars we bring and stick around for a mid-day seminar we will be hosting! 👍🏻
Any chance you can talk Tony into oiling the hinges on his wallet and coming to the real Carlisle when Jigsaw's finished? (Carlisle, Northern England, lol) Great work lads, I'm waiting for 1 PM (GMT) every Saturday now, it gets me out of shopping with the wife
I’m a house painter and some days I go to Lowe’s up to four times especially when I jump over to repairing some plumbing or electrical. I’m a painter but I do everything. I’m trying to start paint cars professionally not too. I’ve done a few but not on a professional level. I LOVE this build! Y’all are great & make an awesome team.
Tony gets sheet metal addicted. I love your aluminum shaping skills. I thing it's time to build me a racing fuel tank-seat for my little 50cc bike in aluminum! Cheers guys, greetings from Barcelona.
Oooooo it’s looking beasty!!! My fav moments in this episode: cutting to Mary / LOTR while Tony ate his sammy and Ryan’s intermittent chuckles that somehow remind me of Ren & Stimpy. Loving to progress - watching that clamshell open up was the best! 🔥🔥🔥
Recently found your channel ... love it! ... and subscribed today. I retired from a life in the Canadian shipyard business which is similar to the fabrication you are doing but in the heavy steel industry. Your vlogs make me recall oh so many fond memories and even challenging situations with some great professional workmates. It also stimulates some "I wish I had" regrets which is good as it gives me incentive to get off my .... Keep up the great work! Best wishes from the Canadian Rockies. 😎 ⚒⚙🔧
Oh my god the surprise Tony teletubby sun might be the funniest thing I’ve seen all week😂😂 also, front end looks insane. The proportions are starting to make sense and boy does it look nice
Hello and than`s for another good video. I was surprised, to see Your "certificate" from Lazze! My wife, sent me for two of hes educations, when he still worked here in Sweden! I was there, when we built a Cobra in aluminium and for the lead filler course. As a fabricator myself, I like to see You making real coachwork. Not using plastic filler, as 99% of those, who do "body work" on cars. Keep these films coming. from a Finn in Diaspora
Adoro o trabalho de vocês, uma perfeição incrível. Pena que não tenho dinheiro pra comprar uma obra de arte dessas, aqui no Brasil é difícil adquirir um carro de sonho desses! 😢
Hey Ryan, have you watched the recent Rünge video where he shapes lexan for the headlights on the RS010? Seems like something you could pull off. Its my opinion that an inset headlight similar to that would really suit the character the build much better than a 928 style flip up. Nice work as always gents 👌
*Once the clamshell is complete, you should have a mold made for it, just incase it gets damaged...* Could fall back on having it remade in carbon, if any oopsies happen.
Ever considered mounting the 993 headlights inside of the clamshell, vertically, with a lens cover flush with the clam? Would be more period correct. Have been looking at the renders and drawings since the start and only just spotted why it felt off - not many cars had angled headlights at the time, Muira aside. Always felt its headlights could have been better resolved, fantastic looking car that it was.
Shouldn't the clam shell hinges should be mounted to the same side of the chassis mounts so you can slide the clam shell sideways when open to remove it from the car? Where you've welded it the clam shell cannot be removed.
Loving the whole concept. I've been watching every episode as it's come out. A question about airflow: firstly, will you be doing a ledge drop from the front of the hood to the radiator outlet like in your model (and most supercars of that era) to assist in airflow and prevent it from causing a stall there? And the same with the rear window - I know that having a custom rear window will be a pain, but having a drop between the rear supports where the rear glass is going will also create a lot of turbulent flow. Will you be looking at slanting the rear of the cockpit more?
You should do a hinge mechanism like what bad obsession motorsports did with project binky. Folds forward and tool less removal of the front section. Nonetheless really enjoying seeing this take shape.
With this hinge design, will the fender and door panel skins meeting, prevent you from opening the hood....at least....not scratch the paint on 2 panels when operating?
Also, have you thought about using a set of headlight pods from a 928 to solve your pop-up headlights they will be round but super simple to do. I even have a set. I will donate to you for free.
If the finished car comes out looking as good as the rendered maroon coloured one in the intro, you could sell posters of it, I'd buy one. That being said, I'd also buy a poster of Tony as the Teletubby sun.
I'm totally over people building kit cars that look exactly like something real . So I am very keen on seeing this finished and seeing what it looks like .
7 inch round headlights from the era would be better. it would make it of the period you are shooting for than the ones your using. They are fine just my thought.
Im not a metal worker but couldnt you cut a slit out of the steel tube and slide it on to the bracket then weld it. Then it wouldnt be up too high or down too low and you could still use the aluminum pipe and the 3d printed bushings the same way.
We would love to! This is still our “part time” gig, but are hoping to move it into the “full time” level soon! Keep sharing our stuff around and we’ll get there sooner! 👍🏻
you find transformation. You did a great job! the car looks very nice. This is the beautiful recovery of a talented man. Tony was addicted to sheet metal. I think it's time to build myself an aluminum racing tank seat
Hi guys I really enjoy your videos every week. In the latest video you guys used the revopoint 3d scanner . Do you think it would be a good scanner to scan something the size of a full car? Thanks Sean
Hey Sean! We haven’t used it to scan a full size car yet, however they do claim it can do large objects (Revopoint scans a helicopter in an example they’ve shown). You can find more info on the scanner we used and a discount code in the video description!
Hey I just wanted to add That the American pronunciation of Aluminium is more dynamic and versatile as are the very properties of said metal… If not it gives it a temperamental overtone, which is correct..
Secondly. As a distinguished connoisseur of metal critiquing 🧐 I recommend always keeping the surfaces of English wheel equipment 100% clean and shiny, like the tip of an English mans snooker cue, can otherwise be subject to friction/grip… Reckon there are wheel specific products that enhance performance..
Turn to Jesus Christ while you can. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
You should tack weld the nuts to the top side of the hinge brackets and drive the bolts up from under the car to make it easier to remove in the future.
Not a bad idea! We considered this, but aren't sure we want to sacrifice the adjustability of slightly oversized holes with these nuts/bolts. Clamshell adjustment will be important in case something misaligns later on, however -- we might just be paranoid, haha!

Lol, first 😂
Future self isn’t going to like past self. “Worry about that later”. This car is going to be a head turner. Really cool idea!
>"That's a problem for future Matt"
>"Future Matt here, I hate it"
WHAT DO WE WANT?...... LONGER EPISODES!!!! WHEN DO WE WANT IT! ..... NOW! Well next Saturday will be fine, I guess. 😁 Looking awesome BTW!
We're working towards that! If the channel keeps growing we can afford to dedicate more time into it. 🙌
Tony gets sheet metal addicted. I love your aluminum shaping skills. I thing it's time to build me a racing fuel tank-seat for my little 50cc bike in aluminum! Cheers guys, greetings from Barcelona.
9:08 Merch idea for you: T-Shirt that has Tony's face on and says 'Back in my day'
With the reading glasses low on his nose 😂
Sorry guys I have to shout.
THAT IS BEAUTIFUL AND LOOKING GREAT - well done.
Round headlights are definitely the way to go. Modern headlights would be terrible on this. Great progress
William Conrad still needs to apologize for eating a cherry tomato like that.
Wow, I just watched build it yourself use that scanner on their v10 project. Very cool!
me too, love that build as well
Hello from France 🇫🇷.
Still love your videos. Great job 🔥
Tony as the teletubbies sun is awesome... and that is an absolutely wild sentence to write LOL.
I was literally singing Texafornication in my head just before you sang it, lol…
My favorite thing about Saturday morning!
Texifornia will never happen. and you know it 🙂
Love your content! Metalwork seems to be hard but would be so cool to learn!
its a hands on process, thats for sure dont know exactly whats gonna happen till you try
hope to see this finished in next 10 year.. :)
the little lord of the ring easter egg 🤣🤣🤣🤌

I'm really liking this channel. Excellent work, very entertaining & inspiring. Hi from Australia. ❤

Are you guys familiar with the mid 60s Porsche 904? May help with some inspiration.
Hey Ryan, have you watched the recent Rünge video where he shapes lexan for the headlights on the RS010? Seems like something you could pull off.

Could fall back on having it remade in carbon, if any oopsies happen.
Have you guys thought about insetting the headlights like an old 240z? I think it might look better that way. Just a thought. Love the project!
Fantastic editing homies. Loving the breaks with the customer cars.
Mastering mild steel is daunting, I can't imagine aluminium. The hood shape is coming together so well, loving the 60's shapes.
Shouldn't the clam shell hinges should be mounted to the same side of the chassis mounts so you can slide the clam shell sideways when open to remove it from the car? Where you've welded it the clam shell cannot be removed.

Cheers guys. Just don’t do a project Binky and vanish for over 3 years mid series..
Woo wee starting to look like a car. It’s getting exciting now!
Also, have you thought about using a set of headlight pods from a 928 to solve your pop-up headlights they will be round but super simple to do. I even have a set. I will donate to you for free.

The clam shell is really taking shape. Great work fellas!
I would so love to work for u. Dont know shit about metal fab, but it is a dream of mine. I measure twice, and cut once. Cut parts like a mofo!
7 inch round headlights from the era would be better. it would make it of the period you are shooting for than the ones your using. They are fine just my thought.
at 11:15 you use a whole tool to drill the wholes for the bonnet what was that tool? thank you in advance
You need to have porsche 928 popup lights on this. it will look awsome :D
Im not a metal worker but couldnt you cut a slit out of the steel tube and slide it on to the bracket then weld it. Then it wouldnt be up too high or down too low and you could still use the aluminum pipe and the 3d printed bushings the same way.
Is it me or the front shape looks a little bit too tick and too high from the ground? This thing looks massive..
They look like the ugly new BMW Kidney grilles you called shields
the pop culture references are off the chain as is the awesome fabbing but thats a given
What is the name of the metal bender you use. I can’t find one like it
Texifornia - that's actually Austin.....
I wait for these episodes as patiently as I do with 50 Cent Shows
It looks so good without the lights. You should switch to pop-up headlights.
At eight minutes and 46 seconds in there’s Texas!
Budget supercar... Woops out 3D scanner.
Looking good!! But why all the heavy steel?
The Lord of the Rings reference broke me. 😂😂😂
You should do 2-3 videos a week.
We would love to! This is still our “part time” gig, but are hoping to move it into the “full time” level soon! Keep sharing our stuff around and we’ll get there sooner! 👍🏻
I wanna come to the shop and look at the build it looks so cool

I always look forward to each episode, great progress this time! That hinge looks sweet
Awesome work lads, best build channel out there for sure.
Appreciate that
9:33 perfect photo for a new logo for the channel hahaha
It might have to become a sticker. 💀
@@CrucibleCoachworks If this become a sticker, I want 10 of it, same for the Dark Side no nail thumb hahaha
The custom metal forming is why I started watching this channel……. Looks killer and wish I had just a small portion of y’all’s skill
loving the series from the uk, I was wondering are you mounting the headlights to the chassis and having a cutout in the frunk? if so that's awesome 👌
That’s the current idea!
These videos need to be an hr long great content.
Hi, Texan here. Thats not going to happen.
this is my saturday morning coffee show. i look forward to this every weekend. great show, informative and interesting
I think you're nailing the 1960s look. Such a cool project.
The round headlights are definitely the way to go. It’s looking so good!
Lmao, the editing on this episode...
Are you sure you'll be able to open that hood with the car sitting on the ground?
Yep! Tested it and works great!
Great progress guys. Keep up the excellent work
Thanks! Will do!
Insanely good! Great video
Reminds me of a Miura in the front

Sadly I can confirm that at that level it may not merge again! 😢
nice upgrade on the scanner 👍
Great progress once again 👍👍
I'm glad you guys are doing round headlights!
Maserati “Birdcage”.
"two dudes doin' it" ha
this is so interesting...
Thank you.

Didn't expect prequel memes in my car UA-cam videos. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. @CrucibleCoachworks
Love your content! Would really like to see a collab with @attheredbarn1669 - he's putting a Ferrari engine into a 914 at the moment.
