- This is a tutorial for Nail Professionals. Stamping nail art with negative space diamond design from the :YOURS Loves Fee stamping plate Dots & Diamonds. I used CND Creative Play BLACK + FORTH to stamp over a background of CND Shellac Black Pool with a coat of Lecenté Layer It. After stamping I applied Lecente Rainbow Chrome Powder then finished with Original Shellac Top Coat.

Hi Sally, thank you! ☺️ Lecente Layer It, like CND Shellac, is a professional use only product. You could create something similar by applying a super sparkly silver polish and stamping on top with a really opaque black stamping polish. Hope you have a great Xmas too! Xxxx

a fairly new nail tech. started late in life I've been using cnd shellac but have purchased a few other things with the help of your videos I have tried to register with sweet squared to get Yorkshire stamping plates but no one seems to answer me can you advise please isabel .

Tracey Roche hi! I love CND Shellac, I've been using it since it launched ☺️ This is the Shellac colour Black Pool in this video. I would recommend CND Shellac over all other brands of gel polish. In the hands of a professional, it can be done and redone for years and years with absolutely no nail damage because of the unique way it removes and the fact the surface of the natural nail NEVER get buffed or filed during the entire process of application and removal. I also love the colour range, especially when it's so easy to customise with products like Lecenté xxx

I need this explained to me. I am sorry I am not getting it. Why is it the chrome only stuck to the stamping polish? Was the stamp gel polish and the underneath wasnt?

Hi Laura, in theory, any air drying polish could be used. The more opaque a polish is when applied really thinly, the better it usually is for stamping. Have a play with some of the polishes you have already to get an idea of what works well. I use Creative Play because I have the whole range to hand, and lots of the colours work brilliantly for stamping, but lots of other polishes work well too. xx

Can you txt out what exactly you used. How did you make the glitter stay without the gel lifting? Can you just write out step by step. Or if anyone understands it and is reading it please help a sister out!! :p and where do you get that stamp plate?
Hi Anabel, here are the steps, let me know if you would like further clarification.
- Start with 2 cured layers of Shellac colour
- Now apply Lecente Layer It, this is like a 'no wipe top coat', a clear gel polish layer that once cured, has no sticky top film/inhibition layer.
- After curing that we get air drying nail polish, I used Creative Play, and paint it onto your stamping plate. Scrape over the plate, and pick up the design on your rubber stamper.
- Now roll the design onto the cured Lecente Layer It that was applied over the Shellac colour.
- The polish we stamped on is dry, so when we take the Lecente Rainbow Chrome powder on the sponge and rub it on, it will only adhere to the areas that DO NOT have air drying polish on them. The Chrome powder won't stick to the polish, so in this design, it only sticks to the background, to the Diamonds which are like windows to the Lecente Layer It underneath.
- give it a good rub with the sponge, that will ensure the Chrome powder 'chromes up' and that any excess Chrome powder is removed from the polish that got stamped on there.
- now finish with Shellac Top Coat to seal the design and protect the finished look.
Hope that is helpful. I know it seems like a backwards way of working! But the results are so theatrical, your nail client will need to pick their jaw up off the floor!! 😂

Would this technique only work with stamping plates that have a negative space design?
It will work with normal stamping pattern too, but then the chrome effect will be the background color, rather than the pattern. Like in this design ua-cam.com/video/ofM_qU6-AlI/v-deo.html

SlicedBread hi! It's no bother to answer you! 😆 The Chrome is NOT sticking to the stamp, that's the point! The Chrome is sticking to a product called Lecenté Layer It which is in the background. What the Chrome does not stick to is the black polish I stamped on over the Lecenté Layer It. The Chrome will not stick to the dry polish. Let me know if that makes sense!

Demonikkk Cupkake I wear nitrile gloves to protect myself and my clients. Curable nail coatings such as CND Shellac should never come into contact with the skin in their uncured form. I'd recommend any Nail Professional to wear nitrile gloves when performing services on clients. I like the black ones but they come in all sorts of colours.
