Today we have a request. It was to find out how many Sovereign Classes it would take to defeat the Reman Scimitar.
The Reman Scimitar was first seen in Star Trek Nemesis the movie.
This featured one of the longest Starship battles we have ever seen in Star Trek and the Terrifying Reman Scimitar almost destroyed the Enterprise E.
Played from both sides in Star Trek Bridge Commander Remastered UE 14.
Thanks for watching!

Has a battle between the Scimitar and a full-on Jem Hadar battleship ever been done? I think both are in the same weight class, so to speak.
Or a small Dominion fleet.
I'll look into this, sounds like a great idea 🖖
According to fan theories the Scimitar started off as a Dominion design that the Remans modified into a platform for their Thalaron weapon.
The Scimitar would easily prevail you would need 3.
@@jasonwestwood7092 He means the same class of battleship that curb-stomped the Valiant.
I must be one of the few people who did not mind Nemesis!
Q: What did Picard say when Shinzon asked him to name his ship's biggest weakness?
A: Insufficient Data.
[ba dum tss 🥁]
More like Data not found
The Scimitar looks so much like those big Dominion battleships. You have to wonder if Baby Picard borrowed some tech or ideas from a disabled Dominion ship during the war?
😨Admiral.. wow. jeepers, that Scimitar looked just like the movie and unreal the power.. and remember when was right above the Ent E at warp under cloak.. that was scary.. jeepers.. Yes Shinzon needed Picard blood.. so didn't want to destroy the ship.. that helped, eeh. and wonder what would happen if you in the Scimitar cloaked and was firing would that change things.. hmm this was a wicked battle for sure Admiral. eeh.. well done both battles .. !!😊🖖
Imagine the Dark Timeline version of the Scimitar!
Scimitar vs General Picards ship?
I would like to see 3 or 4 Connie Refit Refit vessels fight the Scimitar to see how they would perform in comparison.
2:52 I know Nemesis isn't very popular. They didn't have the right plot twists. The plot really needed to go HARD TO PORT and it didn't.
How about how many Scimitar's can the Enterprise-G take on?
amazing video.... took less then i thought lol that Remen ship is TOOO OP! Ty for the video and LLAP!
Incredible battle!!
@BertoPerez82 Thanks Mate 🖖
I'm watching this and listening to some of the more wicked bgms from MWiii and it sounds awesome
Of all the movie battles im partial to two of them, the insurrection battle and Nemesis. they really took advantage of the 3D battle aspect. Wrath of Khan while epic was to slow paced for me.
From what we see in the collision scene from Nemesis, it looked to me as the Scimitar had better shields and weaponry but the Enterprise-E had stronger armor/hull (or its front-facing scorpion shuttle bay had weak armor compared to the "blade" edge of a saucer section)
No way would Star Fleet willingly engage in a straight up fight against something like the Scimitar with anything less than a fully fleshed out battle group.
Nice battle and 4 to 1 ratio I'd agree was about right.....rest as all ways RB 👍
I would say 2 Sovereign class Starships with two very skillfull and tactically minded Captains could kick the Schimiters arse but it would be hard. 3 should have done it. 4 definitely should.
Do try doing it with 3 shios again. Its posdible. Just have to make sure none if them get destroyed or severly damaged.
0:40 oh don't even, that was at Picard's command.
Good one, I didn't think of that. How many... I would guess at least three without cheating by ramming them and losing a sentient android. 😄 The Scimitar had amazing regenerative shields. Even after the pounding it took from the E and those other two Romulan ships, it still had 70% shields.
Edit: I thought you had him! So close with 3... I'm sure that the third one would have finished him.
But he (Picard's voice) wanted to look you in the eye. 😆
Oh, and I agree... the Wrath of Khan battle was much better.
I still don't know which one I like more... that one or First Contact... why not both.
I predicted it would take a minimum of 4 Sovereigns. Nice battle 👍
Pretty sure the 3v1 was won but the commander got himself targeted and blown before the third ship helped secure the win.
The question of how many sovereigns it would take to win against the scimitar depends on the win condition. If you just need the scimitar destroyed, 2 of them could pull it off if one sovereign rams and detonates the warp core and the other will be destroyed in combat. If you want the scimitar destroyed without losing a single sovereign you probably need about 5 sovereigns. And if you want the scimitar destroyed without losing a single man then you will probably need 6-10.
The nemesis battle was really good but i enjoyed the undiscovered country battle
Have you done the battle as it would have been, if they'd manage to rendezvous with the fleet, yet? That'd be an interesting one. You can probably find the ships on memory alpha or somewhere like that. I remember the USS Galaxy was one of them. And that would have been the Galaxy post Dominion War.
Something also worth mention about taking out the warp drive: it left the Enterprise HUGELY underpowered, forced to run off the batteries.
Full axis rotation to port!
That was wicked! Been looking forward to this scenario 🖖
And I agree retro, wrath of khan battle was the coolest. Vadic and the titan in picard used some of that vibe and I loved it🖖
Thanks! Totally. Vadic was a brilliant villain. I wouldn't expect any less from General Changs daughter 😉
@@RetroBadgerGaming 😅 100 percent captain
I was surprised the computer struggled with 4 Sovereign classes. Yet the human factor didn’t have a problem.
I agree the battle between the Scimitar and the E-E was awesome. Especially Counselor Troi using her abilities to find them while cloaked.
I definitely agree the BEST battle would be from The Wrath Of Khan. From the first surprise attack to the battle in the Mutara Nebula.
I’ve read a post recently that Kirk would NOT have taken that long to raise shields. Well that person forgot he was at Starfleet Command for so long thus wss rusty when it comes to commanding a starship. Hell he tried to get Spock to take command. Spock was all, “No Jim YOU need to take command.”
Kirk was pretty much afraid he’d mess up and in a way he did.
That's a very good point. Kirk was definitely Rusty in Wrath of Khan. I'm pretty sure he alluded to this after the attack. Lieutenant Saavik certainly learned a lot that day! She also gained respect from Starfleets most famous crew! 🖖
You should try 3 Sovereigns vs Scimitar while in a cloaked ship to observe.
Well-fought, good battles all around. My issue is with the Scimitar itself. It’s essentially a God Mode cop-out plot-device. Data deduced that Shinzon was “reasonably young and a *competent commander”* - what tactics are used with a God Mode ship? It’s the kind of ship a kid would come up with.
This Romulen ship against the Voyager with it Armour and transphasic torpedoes
Scimitar hands down... Its a heavy-weight compared to the Sovereign.. Lets see 2 Oddessey classes next video.
this thing is so ridiculously powerful im not even sure if the Enterprise-F stands a chance.
The AI Scimitar suffers from not maneuvering early on, allowing the fleet to hammer its forward shields early on
Might just be me, but I really felt like a straight fight between the Enterprise and Scimitar would be a lot closer than people think.
The volley of quantums did quite a bit of damage. Look at how long the Enterprise lasted in that fight, now imagine how many volleys of quantums she could have fired in that time. I don’t know, I feel like this is a tough victory for the Scimitar 1v1
The Quantum Torpedoes did disable the cloak 😁 Despite Geordi's claims Shinzon didn't disable the warp drive with his first shot, it took a couple of dozen to do that. What it also did was take the warp core offline which deprived the Enterprise of its largest power source.
Ooooh yes, I totally forgot about that! Aaaah, also about the warp drive your right! Wow, imagine if the warp drive hadn't been disabled. I'm assuming the shields and phasers would have been much stronger 🖖
i would recommend uss vengeance vs the scimitar
How many Enterprise-Es would it take to destroy the Scimitar when you're in the Scimitar?
Two D'deridex class Warbirds should have been portraid in nemesis.
That would have been way cooler and made the battle much more iconic. I was very disappointed with the Valdore type ships 🖖
Troi piloted the Enterprise twice, and crashed it twice. The first time Galaxy-D in Generations, and of course the Soverign-E in Nemesis.
I guess she made up for in in Picard S3.
To be fair, she was told to crash it in Nemesis.
It almost always comes down to your piloting if the matches are close. I wonder how the Scimitar would do against a Jem'Hadar battleship? 2 OP ships slugging it out
Looks like the Enterprise E needed more Sovereign class ships, instead of the Romulan ships that turned up 🖖
Now do the same battle vs the Enterprise D. I think that 6 Galaxy's could do it but it's a little iffy to me.
Hace you had any fights with a Vidian battle cruiser yet? Would love to see a Soverign go up against one of them.
0:30 On a 2D map 😏
If it takes 4 Sovereigns then I think 2 Borg Galaxy Classes could defeat the Scimitar.
Also try the Kyoto vs the Borg Defiant
Scimitar vs World Razer?
Can you do Scimitar vs the fleet that enterprise was supposed to meet up with? Ive always wondered how the battle would have changed with a starfleet task force behind the E.
How about the battle vs the Scimitar if the fleet had joined the Enterprise?! Also did you do that request for the Battle of Wolf 359 and would exploding a warp core on the Borg cube slow it down and help the fleet destroy it?
Hmmm...Two Scimitars vs let's say..a mix of sovereign, defiant, intrepid refit equipped w/ quantums, Akira & maybe prometheus class ships.
The game might crash but that'd be an interesting battle
Have you considered doing the Scimitar vs the E and the task force listed in Nemesis?
Tro crashing the ship was on the captain orders so don’t think that would count in her ship crashing
What if the enterprise had gotten a message to the fleet waiting for them, and they came and joined the fight.
Scimitar vs excelsior 2
You did have a full ventral shield. Just sayin.
I never understood how the Scimitar managed to catch the Enterprise, let alone bring her out of warp.
They diverted power from the plot to the warp drive.
ther problem with the scimitar wasnt its firepower the enterprise was far more manouverable the problem was the active cloak that let it fire while cloaked
How many valdore warbirds would it take.
In nemesis shizons Shields never fell below 70% primary and secondary Shields basically high capacity regenerative shields
WOW! That is impressive. Thanks for the info 🖖
@@RetroBadgerGaming that's what what i remember from the movie nemesis
Upgraded quantums wouls help
Scimitar V Borg Cube??
4
Actually you would win with only 3 Soveregin ....Scimitar was very heavy damage ....
Why isn't it deploying all of it's fighters
My head canon for the Scimitar has always been that it was a War-Prize Dominion battleship or dreadnaught acquired by the Remans and modified with Romulan technology. Not the battleship from Valiant, but some other model. There are too many design and style similarities between the two.
You can certainly see something in the design. That makes a lot of sense!
The USS Enterprise NCC 1701-E DIDN’T have Quantum Torpedoes in Star Trek: Nemesis at all, they only had and used Photon Torpedoes. Here’s the dialogue that proves it:
1. “PICARD: Mister Worf, prepare a full phaser spread, zero elevation. All banks on my mark. Scan for shield impacts. Stand by photon torpedoes.”
2. “DATA: We've exhausted our complement of photon torpedoes. Phaser banks are down to four percent, sir.”
@jetnova16 What about the scene with Deanna when she used her Betazoid abilities to find the cloaked Scimitar. The Enterprise 100% fired Quantum Torpedoes! Here's the scene: ua-cam.com/video/DHUSpAtemfg/v-deo.htmlsi=JJMekSc_46T37cQt&t=98
@@RetroBadgerGaming those are photon torpedoes actually! The script and dialogue states it!
Direct proof: [Enterprise-E bridge]
(Troi's hand is on Worf's as they use the photon torpedo targeting display to beam her thoughts to the Scimitar)
TROI: He's resisting me.
[Scimitar bridge]
VICEROY: No!
[Enterprise-E bridge]
TROI: Remember ...me? ...Now!
(Worf instantly fires a full volley of photon torpedoes)
PICARD: Fire at will!
******
In fact the exhaustion of Photon Torpedoes dialogue happens far after that scene thus further proving that they are ONLY armed with Photon Torpedoes and not a single Quantum Torpedo! You can’t ever trust the visuals whatsoever you have to go by the VERY IMPORTANT DIALOGUE and COMPREHEND it!
******
Thus the evidence 100% proves that you are WRONG and that you don’t know your torpedoes whatsoever either in Star Trek!
It takes one (1) Enterprise-E to defeat the Scimitar. They actually made a whole (not very good) movies about it.
