My kid 25 is going to see them with Blink 182 and he never heard of Turnstile, I never heard of them and 51 years old. So we listened to them on Oct 22nd when we were working at a haunted train we help out on. Loud music system and first song we play is “Holiday”. Always heard this band has a ton of energy at their smaller shows, very cool to see they got it going (at a day show outside) plus they got the old DC Bad Brains thing in the song craft
I like that their style has changed. They have evolved as adults. It’s just very strange that they were the roughest crowd I used to ever witness in my life I could never go to that I’ve been a lot of musket 90s people are actually so soft now at Pinkpop, I’ve noticed I always loved how turnstile checked on their fans their drummer has always been a beast when they did the small venues they were all and other bands, and they played them back to back to back. The singers, a drummer, and another band is kind of a whole long story, but they have evolved they actually sing and have the crowd dancing and singing not doing weird stuff, I like it but it’s definitely entertaining to look them up back in 2010 and 2013
That Jane’s addiction references new I don’t hear it or see it whatsoever. I think they are completely different.
