I buy mine all the time like at Walmart, except the ones I buy are individually wrapped already.
You must never shop at a deli or deli section, you will see the blocks there, also warehouse stores like sams, and costco.
I just got done ziplocing a 120 slice package of great value from Walmart
American cheese is NOT real cheese the label even says 2 1/2% milk, it is mostly oils, etc. Real cheese is made with mostly milk.
Thanks for the heads-up. We have a house of 5 and we eat in moderation in our day to day meals. I have tried to freeze real cheese and it will not freeze. Hence the REAL cheese. Can you SUBSCRIBE to our channel I need someone like you a to keep me in check. Thanks.
I freeze in it's original unopened sealed packaging. After it's thawed, the cheese is crumbly.
Sometimes it happens to me also. But I’ve tried different brands in small batches to see the which ones would freeze in the best. And double wrap each stack and trying to get the air out of all of it.
question for you....I buy the Kraft cheese like that except yours are not individually wrapped, and mine are...how would I freeze them? Do I leave them wrapped and store them in a container or what do I do and how long can you freeze it for, and what does it taste like after it has been frozen? Thanks.
Taste is fine. We have a house of 5 and use lot of sliced cheese. So we go there it fast. Freeze time I would say 3 to 4 months. I like to double wrap my cheese so I know that the air is off it & it's going to fill my cheese container. I don't leave it in the store plastic. Hope that helped. Thanks for the comment.
Can you freeze other cheeses?
I’ve tried, but it feels like when they thaw out they are crumbly. Most people sliced cheese and really really cheese but it makes awesome grilled cheese😂
I double wrap my cheese in plastic wrap and then put it in a food saver bag and get the air out. After I take the cheese out of the freezer, it will get a white spotty film on it. The powdery film will wipe off, but what is it? Did the cheese go bad?
You might have to try a different sliced-cheese. I tried several different kinds for finding the one I like. I make sure totally thought out before using or it will crumble to pieces. For the white stuff I’ve never experienced that.
