      Thanks bobcat. You record in the winter? Haven't seen a video from you in a couple weeks.

      @@BuckeyeBallistics I do occasionally on a warmer day, maybe this Friday. What I'm doing now is trying to clean up videos that I shot over the past couple months that I never uploaded. But nothing exciting just ho hum stuff. Will you be doing videos thru the Winter?

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  9 місяців тому

      Yes, always do. I have several videos in the snow lol. But my production does usually slow down some in the winter...

    How is the sharpness in the center and edge? Also, chromatic/purple fringing? How good is the 1x? Great vid!

    Have you done any videos on a henry lever action in 17hmr?

    Pretty nice scope for the money. Can you see the red illumination in relatively bright sunlight?

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  9 місяців тому

      Only against a dark color target. Honestly I don't understand why people are always concerned with this, as the purpose of the illumination is for low light conditions as I always discuss in the video. Shed some light on this for me?

      @Daniel-wk5ib 8 місяців тому +2

      I think people want to use the illuminated reticle as a red dot, which is what many people are used to for close engagements.

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  8 місяців тому

      @Daniel - Interesting, makes sense when it's just the center dot and not the whole reticle illuminated. Never thought about it like that...

    • @frankbrowning328

      @@Daniel-wk5ib Yes, exactly right. The contrast the red has vs the black of the rest of the reticle draws your eye to that red spot and onto the target. Many of us have trouble with red dots due to astimatism which (depending on the dot and the person) can make the dot not appear round. It can appear as a comma or as a star burst. I just picked up a low powered (3X) prism scope with a red/green dot that is very visable in daylight. It's reticle is a circle dot that draws my eye to the center and is very quick to get on target with. Since this works for me I'll probably also purchase a 1X or maybe a 1.5X for an even larger field of view.

    Which do you like better, their one by six or their one by eight lpvo? If you had to do serious things which would you pick?

      8 obviously- more zoom = more better.

      @@BuckeyeBallistics that really depends on use case I'm just saying which one has better glass is there any difference between the two with the only difference being magnification does one seem sturdier etcetera so forth.
