Note: I'll make comments on this in future videos but please keep in mind that my initial (no pause) reaction before the analysis is copyright material and I am not able to monetize this video because of it. In the future, I'll either make these full un-cut reactions available on Patreon or keep these videos as is and not profit on them. I would deeply appreciate if you would consider supporting me on Patreon when it is set up (updates soon) for not just reaction content to music, but to animated shows, anime, and possibly even some personal musical projects. Thank you for your consideration!

Latest VP feat Rachel Potter just dropped - Classical Chaos. The Grundels are back
Love your explanations of Layne's cheek drums and other effects!
True colours and the heart of life are both Layne singing heavy.
I appreciate that Geoff always holds his “reaction” faces in comedic moments a second or two longer than everyone. (The pre Layne bit, after Eli/scuttles wah wah wah bit and when j none steals his “sing it with me now” line towards the end) his confused/pissed off reactions always make me laugh.
Also I feel like any chance Layne can get to paint Geoff he takes I think he’s done it in about 4 arrangements now 🤣
I love this song-it really puts all Voiceplay’s talent and hard work on full display-every member shines.
If you want a real head trip check out Huldra Draco’s “Eli the Voice Actor”. That man is an incredibly gifted actor, down to making his voice completely unrecognizable.
Great reaction!
A few thoughts:
1. "Toujours delish" is a superb lyric, fantastic wordplay and I love it so much.
2. Rachel's physical work with props is super under-rated. It is NOT easy to just "slip" a bracelet onto your arm speedily, while singing, and not looking. Ditto her work with fork and mirror.
3. Also under-rated - Rachel's backing vocals. Her lead work is superb but her supporting vocals might be better. This was just a superior performance all-round.
Geoff and Layne met Rachel Potter when they all performed at Disney World.
Don't know what Layne did. Geoff was the Butler on the Haunted Mansion ride. Rachel was Ariel walking around the park and meeting people.
She has been in many videos with Voiceplay. Including the new one coming out soon..... Classical Chaos. They released a teaser shorts video last week about it.
Great reaction and thank you for the analysis! 😊😊
Rachel is in their next release - coming very soon - but you may not recognize her at first. Layne hadn’t fully warned her in advance about her makeup and prosthetics. (And contacts). But she was a trooper, as always.
You are going to have a field day with that one.
Great reaction! Love this song! When you are up for some holiday fun - VP has You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch as well as Jingle Bell Rock - Mean Girl Style. You get to see some family members in that one. Also I bet you would enjoy the whimsey of the Chicken Song - live.. lol
Another great VP with Rachel is their Wicked compilation.
Well, first of all, while I understand and appreciate your desire to be open to criticism (as well as praise) for your reaction videos I cannot imagine that anyone would actually NOT enjoy them! I especially enjoy that you basically listen to the song all the way through and then go back through it again, making numerous pauses to give a fantastic analysis. You give such GREAT explanations on what the beat boxer is doing and how the particular sounds are made! So much of what a beat boxer does is often very subtle and to most people often goes under the radar (although without it the song would be greatly diminished)! Most of all I just love watching your obvious delight for and love of music! Keep doing what you are doing because it really brightens my day when I get to see one of your reaction videos!
Thank you so much for your kind words and sentiments =) I really appreciate them~
It's evident why this is one of VoicePlay's most popular videos. Every component is top tier!
In addition to his vocal solos, Geoff has done several narrations on his channel. Given his voice, all of them are pretty dark, one of which is The Little Mermaid.
Voiceplay is dropping their new one soon. They don't usually leak who their featured artist is, but Rachel couldn't hold it in. She's back!!
Rachel potter should be in any collaboration she wants. She shines in Greatest Show and Wicked as well with voiceplay.
Seeing as no one has recommended more Rachel and VP, I will just say Attention, The Greatest Showman, Wicked Medley, Phantom of the Opera, and Just Sing.
All of these😊😊
I really love the pure joy you get watching these folks! It always amazes me that no matter who they pick as their fifth, they always knock it out of the park. If it's available, you need to check out when they sang onstage with Chicago, what an event! Huldra Draco's channel has several of them posted. Not sure if the whole concert with VoicePlay is here on UA-cam, but it may be if you search for it. Thank you so much for continuing down the rabbit hole with the brand of dumb that is VoicePlay.
I think it is probably too soon for a reaction. They (not VoicePlay) are I think still selling the video, so pretty sure the ‘official’ videos will get a copyright strike. There are videos (like Huldra’s out there which were shot from the audience but the sound and visuals are not really all that clear. Might be worth waiting on that one?
I watch a ton of reactions to Voiceplay, and yours has shot to the top of the list. I really enjoyed how you balanced your enjoyment, explanations, demonstrations, and reaction/ analysis. It was neat to see you show how Layne makes some of his sounds. It's crazy to me how the human voice and mouth can produce these sounds. Anyway, thanks for the great reaction; I'm leaving it with a big smile on my face! ✌️❤️🧜♀️
Never appreciated how much skill that bit with the cheek-percussion takes. Thanks for the explaination/demonstration!
A wonderful ‘steel drum’ replication!
Hola desde Argentina... Cómo me gustan tus reacciones!!!.. súper divertidas y educativas.. el combo perfecto!... Y verte disfrutar tanto de mi grupo favorito.... No tiene precio!!!... Gracias 😊 un abrazo a la distancia!😊
Is this your first experience with Rachel Potter? She's like an honorary member of Voiceplay. Quite the gal, is she! She was very pregnant in this, and it gives her already gorgeous self an extra glow! Man, could you imagine that voice singing you lullabies every night? Heaven! Great reaction to the snail at 3:03! I had the same one. Like "What am I looking at? It's both cute and DEEPLY (heh, as in "the briny deep") disturbing!" When J. None took leave from the group, they presented him with a cake with a picture with that snail on it. And carrots, though those are a bit of a story. Huldra Draco, our Voiceplay Valkyrie has a good video explaining it. And great reaction over all too! This one is so fun! 💙
They also had a T-shirt for sale that said ‘snailed it!’ after this released
@@hwyla4416 No kidding? That's hilarious, I wish I'd known about that. I'd buy one! I guess they must send it....snail mail?💙
I love this medley with VoicePlay, but it always brings to mind that The Charismatc Voice has doneca wonderful version of Poor Unfortunate Soul as well. She, on her hand, has stated that Geoff is one of her favourite Ursulas.
I thoroughly recommend to listen to the TCV interpretation as well.
Love this because it just shows what VP is all about incl. their incredible skills and talents + their personalities. That's why there is humour in the video. They're wonderful that way. Thanks for the reaction because I certainly found new things here that you pointed out! 🌹🕊
You didn't mention the reference to the Phantom of the Opera. As Ariel's voice was moving from her to him he said "Sing." "Keep singing". Voiceplay did Phantom of the Opera 8 years ago, before J None, when Tony was still the baritone. It was the first theatrical piece they did. You will love it.
These guys are the Crown Princes of the Realm. I enjoy them, no, adore them, because they combine two of my favorites arts, music, and theater. I mean, does it get any better than this?
"A little more light hearted and whimsical" and will still blow your mind. lol I love this medley. It's like a mini show, all the high points are there. Love it!
Thanks for another enthusiastic reaction and analysis! Rachel Potter has been a long time friend going way back to their college days working at the theme parks in Orlando. The part of Ariel was perfect for Rachel as she performed as Ariel in the little mermaid show at Disney World daily for years before switching to Bella from "Beauty And The Beast". The challenge here for Rachel if you look closely you will see she is very pregnant so her vocals, breath control and costume are commendable. Rachel is one of the frequently featured guests with Voice Play that we think of as part of their family and is so good in all of their covers and minis with her. Rachel has been working hard with Voice Play in their next production that will be released very soon. This new one will be EPIC and I will be excited to see your reaction/analysis to that one when it is released.😄
I think this is one of Layne's arrangements. Layne knows all of their voices and makes fantastic arrangements that pull the most out of each member's performance. Layne also likes to paint Geoff in different colors; green being Layne's favorite, a color which Geoff hates. In this video, Layne stays with the colors appropriate to Ursula. They did such a great job with this medley. Thank you for reacting/analysing this one.
Nope this was Geoff.

@@MaggieatPlaywhoops, shame on me for not checking my opinion.
Your reactions are geeat! 😊 You're an absolute delight to watch and give so much information about music. I really appreciate it. That throat thing was wild!!! 😅
Another great reaction. Really liked your demonstrating some of Layne's beat-boxing methods.
When Layne is the chef, watch Geoff's as Ursula is rolling his eyes, looking down his nose while Layne is doing his thing.
You had me laughing out loud...a bit weird because I live alone. My neighbors probably wonder what was so funny. Most of them are a wee bit staid, lovely people, just staid. I really enjoyed your reaction/ analysis. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for reacting/analysing. I enjoyed every little Detail you pointed out. It´s such a treat to listen to someone with so much extensive knowledge. But dang, I was so sure, I subscribed before and now I almost missed your video coming up. I was un-subscribed. I must have remembered wrong… maybe.
I look forward to the next VP reaction/analysis. Thanks for sharing!
"Merdaid?" LOL! That is SO the type of misspelling I make all the time! Glad I'm not alone! And hey, first comment!💙
lol I always have to touch up something the moment I upload xD thanks for catching that and welcome! =D
@@goodeveningstories I feel that! I was an English major! Nothing quite as annoying as typing a ten page paper, printing it, and then RIGHT BEFORE turning it in, noticing a typo in the title. Yeesh! And of course that was always the first thing the professors noticed...I wish I could've fixed them as fast as you did! I didn't even have to reload the page!
Hey. any chance I could make a request? 💙
@@DravenGal You're more than welcome to. Whether I get to it soon (based on other videos I already have waiting in the wings) may be another story but like I say in my outros, I take all comments and requests into consideration as I move forward =)
@@goodeveningstories Awesome, I really love your reactions! With my ADD I can't usually do half hour videos (with the other exception of MrBallen and his "strange, dark and mysterious" videos) but yours are so absorbing they seem much faster, and I'm bummed when they end. Thank you!
Anyway, I'm not sure if you've done anything with Anthony Gargiula in it, so I'd like to request either Voiceplay's covers of Radiohead's "Creep" (bring tissues) or Kacey Musgrave's "Golden Hour," which has another lovely special guest in it! Both stunning pieces! One makes you tear up, the other warms your heart. Voiceplay really hits hard, emotionally! Have a great week, I look forward to future videos!💙
@@goodeveningstories Sorry, one more comment. At 20:41, I think you do as good a digeridoo impression as Geoff does, maybe even a tad better! But shhh, don't tell anyone I said that! Also, Geoff did a reading of The Little Mermaid too! On his solo channel.💙
amazing reaction as always :)
