    You probably were kidding, but the "Movie score" was of course "Also Sprach Zarthustra" (or Thus spake Zoroaster) which is a 33 minute long tone poem composed by Richard Strauss in 1896, and is, by most standards, considered a classical composition, despite the fact that HAL 9000 probably didn't care for it, since HAL was AIWA (A I with attitude)

    The Charismatic Voice (Elizabeth Zharoff) just put out a 30 minute talk with Layne on this and how the musical score was created. Quite interesting.

  • @Wildecat10

    Congratulations! You’re not only the first reactor I’ve heard that even noticed the colors in the fire, but you also understood Layne’s “Easter egg” carrot.
    The ‘film score’ was first a classical piece by Richard Strauss (Thus Spoke Zarathustra). All of the pieces used are listed in the description.
    When Cesar ‘stole’ the voices, he probably could have sung it himself, or at least the higher part. But that was Rachel’s voice for the higher part and Layne’s voice for the lower part.

    • @therealEmpyre
      @therealEmpyre 4 місяці тому +3

      The lower part was Layne, not Geoff?

      @@Wildecat10really? I doubt it is Layne tho? I don’t think layne can sing that low tho and even if he could it’s probably not this resonated. This sounds so much more like geoff singing and then dial up the formant (which makes it sound squeakier), so is the high part by Rachel. You can hear the characteristic of their voices still remain there. Besides, even if layne sang it an octave higher and pitch it down an octave, it probabaly still won’t sound like this. This is sooo geoff I’ve heard his C2 way too many times to be able to differentiate 😂😂

      @@makchris7746 Layne confirmed in an interview that he sang the low part of Caesar’s voice swap. This is not actually nearly as much of a stretch as it may initially seems. I think it was Geoff at one point who said that Layne has the biggest range of all the guys, closing in on 6 octaves. Some of that may be due to beatbox techniques, but seeing as he is a natural baritone, again, not crazy out of the realm of possibilities.

    Rachel did a great interpretation of Phantom of the Opera with VP several years ago. I think you'd like it ! Layne also managed to get a carrot into their Thriller video, and several of their shorts.

    Poor Eli-Grundel. He seems to have been the one who got them out of whatever fix they wound up in at the end of _Mountain King,_ and the only one who really grasped what was about to happen at the end here and was trying to get the others to pay attention. Alas, to no avail. I wonder where they'll turn up next. 😆

  • @shelleeroe
    @shelleeroe 4 місяці тому +5

    So what’s funny is it actually says, do not loose. At 3:25 you can see a loose page floating around. Not many people have paid much attention to the last page so thanks for stopping and reading it. Thanks for the great analysis. I definitely have learned some new things.

    Love your reaction. Just a comment on Cesar's range. He can produce whistle tones, and he shows them off in Voiceplay's The Lion Sleeps Tonight. So, even though he was singing with voices stolen from Rachel and Layne here, he can sing in the stratosphere. That is one of their more whimsical songs too.

    This is just incredible. When I watched VoicePlay's debut with this yesterday, I couldn't believe that was Rachel and had to check the credits! It's her. Since you are fond of the beatboxing, go to Klown Music Reacts and watch this with his reaction as a first rate competitive beatboxer. He can hardly contain himself especially when Layne is doing some complex stuff and he's trying to duplicate it.

    That portion of the (2001: A Space Odyssey) film score, is copied note-for-note from an earlier piece of music. Admittedly, it wasn't particularly well known until it was used in the movie, unlike the rest of the pieces used here, which were all already famous in their own right well before that.

I will have completely forgotten it and I want to be able to pick out what it is that you're hearing. If you want to hear a beautiful amalgamation of classical music and beatboxing please react to Kevin's fifth. Kevin is the beatboxer for pentatonix. He also is a world-class cello player having performed at Carnegie Hall. He beat boxes while playing the cello which he calls cello boxing. I think that you would really really appreciate the talent and skill that he puts into his cello boxing

    Beethoven is metal. Watch Tina S doing Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement. Classical music can translate very well. On an even more classical note have you ever listened to Amira Willighagen. She is a classical/classical crossover singer born in Netherlands currently living in South Africa. She won Holland's Got Talent in 2013 at the age of 9 as a self taught opera singer. She, since, has had some training and is currently in college working on a degree in music. She has many performances on UA-cam.

      Sorry you feel that way. Despite none of the pieces being Halloween related, the set being inside Pattycake's studio for other productions going on there was the reason for the timing. (Not to mention that when they did Hall of the Mountain King, it wasn't a Halloween release either.)
