Great reaction! This is my favorite of Dan’s Christmas songs, and one of my favorites over all. So gorgeous and joyous, with endless breath control and fantastic range. I listen to this all year long. The first verse is Italian, BTW. He does a very upbeat and funny Santa Claus is Coming to Town with Minniva - with lots of silliness and also a terrific “classical” medley by Dan thrown in the middle. It’s worth it just to hear Dan Vasc sing “Rooty-toot-toot and rummy-tum-tum”! 😊
I had forgotten about their "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" collaboration. You can tell Dan & Minniva were having fun with that one. Lol. I think it is on her channel, not his.
Leave it to Dan to power up a Christmas hymn! Beautiful rendition. Thank you for your reaction! I will never know how he makes his voice sound like he is singing in a cathedral and not in his garage. He is also a master of layering his voice for the background vocals. Dans favorite singer to collab with is himself and it sounds amazing.
Maybe I can give you the answer. In a podcast, Dan mentions that he records all the vocal parts (no matter which song) in his own studio. When recording the corresponding video (very important!!!) he also sings the song in his garage. But he can't use this sound because of the outside noise from the street. After finishing all the parts, he puts it together to make a wonderful song. It can only work that way because he sings all the parts himself, like the choir here, and you can't see that. I hope it's understandable.
@@shirleyemrick1700Yes, that's true. I can't even begin to imagine how much work goes into each of his recordings. It's a gift to have found him and his music.
This is most definitely my favorite rendition of this song because of the 4 languages Dan uses. An absolutely powerfully amazing performance. Thank you for reacting. Happy Thanksgiving
❤ Thank you for your usual great reaction.... This is such a beautiful song and Dan makes it even better.❤ As he does everything he puts his touch on. ❤
Great reaction. Thank you. Of the 3 Christmas songs Dan does Adeste Fidelis is my favorite. He does do a couple other Christmas songs with other artists
Hi Daniel, there are several Dans in one... and they are all phenomenal!!! Bravíssimo👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you very much for your reaction and analysis, they are always incredible;)
Thank you for your further reaction and insightful analysis of this epic cover by Dan. I also have a criticism, the first verse is not Latin but Italian, then German, Brazilian-Portuguese and the last in English. The choir sung by Dan in Latin. What power, what presence, simply breathtakingly fantastic.....
This is one of my all time favs of Dan! I was sick last year and my 3 year old granddaughter came and snuggled with me, she said nana again, nana again so often she now knows it by heart too even down to his hand gestures!
A wonderful masterpiece by Dan Vasc! His majestic posture impressed me from start to end! Dan's voice with power and beauty is a joy to listen to! Thank you for your reaction! 😊
Absolutely powerful and glorious rendition of this Christmas song. One of my favorites by Dan. I also love that single breath for those "Glorias." It's something my ears pick up on, too. His Adeste Fideles is awesome, as well (love that finale).😊 As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction, Daniel. Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day with your family. It saddens me to see that holiday skipped over, too.
Dan has created another masterpiece here, in 5 different languages and simply beautiful. By the way: Dan and Minniva also did a Christmas Metal cover of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. It's on the Orions Reign channel. (Dan was the lead singer for about 2 years) Thanks for another reaction.
Now please do action or not will you please react to O holy night from Dan it’s a must you won’t regret it I promise my friend I’m begging you Derek in Pearland Tx
Vasc did Santa Claus is coming to Town, also, but not sure if it's on his page. He did it with Orien's Reign and another female singer; can't think of her name. Anyway, Dan't songs on Orien's Reign don't list his name, as he was part of the band.
Since the last guy who knew how to pronounce proper classical Latin died sometime in the late fifth century, who cares, right Daniel? 😉😉 Hope someone sponsors Sabaton's Christmas Truce for more rolled Rs and a very original homage to Carol of the Bells.
You mentioned the rolled ‘R’ while Dan was singing the German verse. I’m not a singer/vocalist but in spoken German you don’t use a rolled ‘R’ (using front of mouth as in Spanish or Italian. It is rolled in back of throat). Is it different in singing?
You're correct. Rolled 'R's aren't used in spoken German and rarely used in sung German. The only time I've ever heard it used is when an artist chooses to use it for the musical flow of the music or perhaps rolled 'R's are a part of the vocalists native language. That said, in terms of how the language is traditionally and classically performed, it should be performed without the rolled 'R's
I know nothing about music (technically). For me, the (sort of) exaggerated posture comes off in a beautifully masculine (for me, not beautiful in a sexual way) way. It makes it more powerful. I don't know if I have the correct vocabulary for it.
Five languages: Italian, Portuguese, English, German and Latin! He is amazing.
Oh, and I'm still hoping for you to check out Dan's Hallelujah- One Man Choir. 😄 Insanity at it's best.
Me too
Yes! I was just commenting on this in another video! :)
Dan is a phenom for sure! Love that he sings this in so many languages. Thanks for the reaction, Daniel

Adeste fidelis is also great!

@ yes, I have heard him explain how he records, but it’s amazing how he is able to put it all together. His talent is just amazing!

Dan beautifully sings and performs this song. Thanks for your reaction.
Simply glorious .
Absolutely fabulous! Dan's masterpiece is so glorious, it brings me to joyous tears. Breathtakingly beautiful!
But Adeste Fidelis is still my favorite. 😁😁🎸
@LuisNunes-ps4sl, I love both of them! Good to hear from you, Luis!
@@joettamcqueen1954 Good to hear from you, too! I'll be around...
Unexpected but everything Dan does is unexpected. Thanks for this reaction.

I totally missed this one! Yay! :)

This has always been one of my favorite Christmas songs. I love to sing that harmony!
Love this rendition by Dan. Thanks for providing so much musical insight in your reaction, Daniel. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and fans.

Awesome reaction, well dissected keep it up bro
Great reaction. Check out Adeste Fidelis. ❤️🤘✝️🌹🦉
❤
Thank You! I'm so sad that he will not be doing a Christmas song for us this year.
Maybe he'll do two next year.....
Ok...since you mentioned Santa Claus is Coming to Town....Dan did that song with Orions Reign. It will blow your mind.
👍❤️🙂
Home Free released a new song called The Thanksgiving Song
It was Dan
Someone beat me to it lol

Remembered her name: Minerva.
I'd still love to hear you react to Amazing Grace by Dan. If I could to afford to support you I would but I just can't afford it. ☹️

@ Thanks! Im bilingual and have a very hard time rolling my R’s since I’m used to German R’s.
