I chose the Ducati Multistrada V4S & just can't say enough about how excellent it is, hats off to all the companies but really happy with the Ducati I love riding it
Great review and I agree completely. I owned a 2021 R1250GS. What a fantastic motorcycle! I love the GS. Now, I have sold my GS to a very good friend of mine and ride a 2023 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally. Also a great bike. They are very different, yet also very similar. Do I think one is better than the other from a rider standpoint? No. If I had to chose one, and only one, I'd stick with the GS for it's comfort and reliability. But, the Ducati is a blast on the road and very comfortable as well. Time will tell which one I lean toward more in the future.
I have MTS V4 PIKES PEAK. Bro GS lighter clutch compared to MTS V4. Guess, that was a joke. Our recent Colorado trip my v4 PP broke down with radiator physical damage. Rented GS1250 for 1300 miles ride. I didn't feel any clutch advantage or smoothness in GS. I started liking my ve PP more after riding the GS. could be a rented bike issue. Pushing the gs from side stand ro straight position after hoping on was so physically demanding in GS. With my v4 pp it is a breeze. Suspension was too soft in GS IMO. GS was lot better in cornerin. I like high rev engines and love my V4PP. Wind protection is lot better in V4PP. Best thing in GS compared with my multi is from dropping the bike. Dropping v4 from stand still will cost lot more than gs. Finally the quick shifter in GS. Ithink bmw should discontinue quick shifter option in boxer models. Such a nasty experience IMO. My 2016 S1KRR quick shifter is the best.
