If I could add a little tip to anyone worried about that, or anyone that has trouble with material twisting on the hook shank, you can add just a dab of super glue to the hook shank, then wrap your thread. That’ll stop it from twisting

I’ve seen a lot of tutorials here on UA-cam on how to tie a fly jig, but none of them comes close to doing as fine a job at teaching people how to tie a jig as you do! Most other fly-tying instructors skip steps or do part of their steps off cameras when they show people how to tie a fly, but you actually show us every step! Including how to cut and stack the tail feathers on top of each other to create the tail for the jig! As a beginner, you don’t know how important these little steps are to me! Thanks a bunch sir for actually showing us how to tie a crappie jig the right way! There are many fly-tying experts here on UA-cam, but none of them measured up to you in teaching!

I tried to buy that large bobbin that you suggested to me, but the person who was selling it on Ebay never answered my emails. I wanted to know if his bobbin was large enough to hold a regular spool of sewing threat, but he never answered any of my email messages to him. I don't want to buy it unless it is what I need since I already have two small bobbins and the last thing I need is one more of the same size. I have old fly tying supplies laying around, and a vice. Looks like I’m gonna tie up some crappie jigs! I think a lot of our lakes get hit hard with plastics like Bobby garlands. I think showing the fish something different will help
I agree with the others when saying you are excellent in your step by step presentation start to finish especially the way your camera is situated which is exact what we see when we tie, particularly the whip finish. (So many reflect in a mirror.) Very professional! God Bless!

SK, Please post the specs of what thread & material content - make, strength, size, spool size Bobbin make, specific bobbin to hold the spool size. I want to use as large spool size as practical and easy to use. You , in my opinion have the best fishing tutorials on the web!!!

I wouldn't be a happy man with one color thread.....I use probably use close to if not more than 10 colors of thread.....I try to match my chenille color best possible so my thread don't show at the head of the jig.....Thanks

Mr. Jig man I have a question.... if you could use only one color of thread to tie jigs with,, what color would you use and why.... thankyou my good friend the Professor.
I wouldn't be a happy man with one color thread.....I use probably use close to if not more than 10 colors of thread.....I try to match my chenille color best possible so my thread don't show at the head of the jig.....Thanks

Loved the video brother thank you for teaching me😁.... I'm getting close to starting to tie my jigs also Jessie Lopez said he had some material for me but only if I gave him my secret brown sugar brisket recipe😋😋 I had to think about it but I've decided it'll be worth it LOL especially when I start catching😜😜😜...the last two videos I did made me a huge believer in the feather jigs well that and your videos LOL can't wait to get my jig tying station nice and set up thank you again for the tutorial buddy👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🍻🍻🍻
