Guys I'm 52 and Canadian. I've lived here my whole life. These arguements have been going on here in North America for over a hundred years. GM vs Ford vs Dodge is a decades old thing. This truck is awesome and those mods are not over the top. Boosting the power by letting it breath is exactly what's done here. I wish we could get those compact pickups with the diesels you have. GM is all we got.

Agreed. The super duty is a monster. I’ve owned a few. The oldest has over 300k miles on the clock as is still going strong as a welding rig. I’ve got a 2020 now and the only limitation is the ability of the tires to keep traction. Everyone will say Cummins this and Cummins that. Of course the Cummins is reliable. The foundation for the motor hasn’t changed in a hundred years. My 1912 model t still runs too. But that doesn’t mean it’s better than a new car. Since ford stopped depending on an outside supplier for their diesel powertrains they’ve updated their engines every 2 years or so. They get better and better with each update.

i have owned many 4wd's over the years but am now fortunate to own a 2021 F250 Black Widow with 6.7 Powerstroke. There is no comparison to all the other 4wd's i have ever owned. it is great on fuel and will tow anything with ease. The 6.7 powerstrokes have been recently classed as a million mile motor from many people in the USA. Great car and could never go back to a cruiser or a Patrol.

It’s important to remember… the Powerstroke 6.7 factory figures are ’Unstressed’ HP & Torque… meaning it can run all day long without blinking.
I wouldn’t recommend upping those numbers significantly unless you addressed & upgraded a few other items under the bonnet.

Ram offers a High Output Cummins ISB (425 hp and 1,075 lb ft/1,460 nm) in the HD line and you get a better transmission with it. I ran a standard output 2011 Ram 2500 with 350 hp/650 lb ft of torque for 12 years pulling a 30' enclosed car hauler trailer at weights up to 14,000 lbs. It was never a problem of power with that trailer, but I was short on payload. Ended up selling the truck for $12k less than I paid for it new (including taxes and fees) and now have an F450 ordered. The Ford will let me use my 26,000 lb rated gooseneck flatbed at capacity.

Cummins motors are RENOWNED for reliability & longevity. Hence why these motors are so common. The proof will be in the pudding ….the life expectancy of the power stroke of your F250.

The Overland Ftruck is only $50,000 more than the top spec LC300. The LC300 then needs $150,000 spent on it, and then it has only half the power, towing, and carrying capacity. Whether the LC300 is more reliable is not proven, but the Ford definitely has plenty of issues like body falling apart just before or just after the engine shits itself.....

By the do your research and ask any truck driver in Australia what they think of the isx Cummins with dpf and you’ll spend hours hearing how hateful those engines are. They were crap. No they are junk! I live in TN, USA. I am English and have an open mind and know the other vehicles available elsewhere. I work on these trucks daily also Dodges and Chevys. I would not own ANY of the newer vehicles sold here. Not even the Toyota's. We don't get the 79 over here nor do we get any Toyota or Nissan diesels. We get junk. Too many gadgets and too much electronics. The can bus systems constantly go down. We had a 6.7 main bearings fail at 80k miles and the truck was maintained by the Ford dealer. Also the bodies on the Fords fall apart after a very short time. I will keep my Tacoma 4 cyl. If I get a tow rig I will get a 1994 Dodge W250 Cummins. All new are simply not reliable.

C section chassis gives the vehicle its flex by design. The box section Ram is rigid. Ford know this… so do automotive engineers. Rams lame attempt to highlight the chassis flex did nothing to curb the success of the Super Duty.
