- The train jerked so badly until the door ended up opening abit and slamming the emergency brakes. Door quality ultra fail? First time a Singapore train has its train doors open while moving?

I think it's wise to understand the reason rather than speculate it as a fail
This is not a quality issue, but basically newer doors are designed with a Push Back mechanism to allow passenger to remove their bag straps if it ever gets stuck without jeopardizing operations. The train is perfectly safe and the doors will not open more than 10cm by force. This is why "Do not lean" announcements are played on the CCL, and stickers are pasted on all doors of all lines inclusive of the DTL. There was a similar incident on the CCL previously where the doors were pried slightly by passengers as they leaned on it.
The reason why the doors came ajar in this situation is due to the continued jerking forces cause by the wheelslide protection devices engaging the brakes repeatedly to protect the components. The forces resulted in the door panels slamming each other and thus opening slightly. The E-brake was not caused by the doors opening, but rather a safety mechanism to bring the train to a complete stop to prevent further wheelslips before resuming operations automatically in a safe manner.

Actually no one press it but more of being a system issue which accidentally trigger the ECB activation announcement. It has been like this since 2017 already
