Gotta chip in here, base on my experience as a staff managing TEL: The "emergency button" here is not the PEC/ECB. It can refer to either the emergency braking push button on the driving console, or the train captain accidentally released the dead man switch of the driving handle. Or, it could also be triggered unintentionally by an obstacle detector sensor located underneath the train, and the train captain operated a bypass switch to release the detector before moving. Or the third possibility could be that the train itself overspeed and the ATP detected it, thus the EB. The TC then released the EB manually before proceeding.
Helloo, I just want to say that I love your videos and as someone who loves the mrt system so much, your videos give me the best content I could ask for, thanks!
thank you!!
@SBS2828S you are so lucky you get to ride the new R151 train
Ive waited for 16 trains and still can't catch the R151
I always tell myself when it isn't the R151 it's okay, it might be the next then it became the old model😢
😂😂😂 so funny
traction control activated. operator applied power too fast thus causing the train wheels to slip in the rain. this is common in the old manually controlled train but the operator acted very fast, if you were sitting at the area with the public accessible area showing the voltage/current regen gauges, you would see it fluctuating in tandem with the train.
"operator applied power too fast" these Singapore trains on the North-South, East-West Lines are run in fully-automated operations, with a train captain monitoring, hence powering and braking are completely automated through the Thales SelTrac signalling system.
Every little shake: OMG EMERGENCY BUTTON NAO
Everyone when the train braked: oh shit!
Does the smell so good?
yes
If you watch the other video by 'ivideotrain', you'll realise that the wheelslip caused one of the door to jerk open slightly and forced the train to stop. I'm surprised how the door isn't strong enough to hold a jerking motion and the train itself isn't able to correct its wheelslip much.
Probably to allow for people to pry the door open easier
holy shit
one of the doors were jerking when train departing then ebrake
Somehow the train shaked while departing so thats why the emergency brake was detected
Had this happen a few days ago while leaving Tanjong Pagar, except that time, it took a few minutes for the train to get going again (also saw the train captain walking towards the back of the train). When it finally got going there was immediately an announcement the train was abruptly terminating at Outram Park.
Little additional fun fact about that, when the terminating announcement for Outram Park played it only said transfer to the NEL and didn’t include the TEL announcement
First day got problem already ah?
Who pressed the emergency button ah
automatically activated by the train as a safety precaution
@@sbs2828s it's because that the door opened while the train was moving right??
Because i once had it with a R151 at queenstown recently yesterday

he pressed it for the video
I think the reason was thats the trains door got open when moving thats It automatically stopped
Wa go scare me, but how can it is a new train then got a suspension issue one meh that is weird Lor… if so idk 🤣😅 plus I love the new train better!
Door tried to open while leaving the station
again at Queenstown
yep it was really harsh, nearly made me fall
@@Emmanuel_Ang eb
What happened
the train jerked forward many times
@@sbs2828s why
Why the emergency brake stop
train started jerking severely
@@sbs2828s after see from other video i can confirm it was ATP system detected some door open (slammed sound before e-brakes was come from said door) which trigger this e-brakes
I like and subscribe dome❤️
@@Thompsoneastcoastline thank you for your support!
No problem 😁
someone didnt test the e brake on the train...
Me in the train: oh shoot what did I do
Did the driver do it or the train just suddenly emergency brake
not sure, could be either the TC stepping in to brake or the train's computer systems braking for safety concerns
@@sbs2828s I just missed a R151 there was only one I saw in afternoon 😔
The jerk is soo bad lol
would you mind me transferring this video to bilibili? Gonna point out the resource:D
btw is that a signal system failure that cause the EB?
sure, please put the yt link!
It just departed. But emergency brake stop
Luckily I left at JE before that
I'm confused 😮
train wants to fling me 🤷♂️
oh no :(
Why did the train jerk?
Coulda been too strong acceleration cuz R151 prob too excited lah

Is the R151 driverless?
All trains in sg are driverless but for c151, c651, c751b, c151a/b/c and r151 have train captains on board maybe because it’s NSL and EWL
No, they're all driverless now. Eventhough there are train captains in the trains for NSEWL, they are not driving the train.
@@Alpha-fh7mj How did you know
@@MrColinTheBusDriver this train is under GoA 3, just research more abt this train. In fact, the rest of the old gen trains are also GoA 3.
