Lay Ho, Lay Ho Wil! I love how you took sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil (I thoroughly enjoy fresh basil in anything) and then added almonds to make the paste to go with the pasta. I've never thought of adding almonds to a blender and using that on pasta. I've also never seen it done. It wasn't until last year that I found out about using cashews to make a vegan alfredo sauce. I'm enjoying all of the new things that people like you are teaching me. Thank you for that. The pasta looks delicious. And your spice/seasoning cabinet is so well organized that I think you should look into editing a choir singing every time you open it in your videos. I admire your organization skills sir. And thank you for what looks like a delicious dish that I can make.

Instead of the water you could add fresh organic tomatoes too. Also you can make your own marinated sun-dried tomatoes using the bags of dried sun-dried tomatoes and marinate them yourself a half hour ahead - adding in a little hot water to rehydrate them, a little dry wine or dry vermouth, some EVOO some crushed fresh garlic, oregano or "Italian spices"and salt and pepper and sometimes cayenne pepper. (That is what I do anyway).
your channel remains one of the best sources of well prepared and interesting videos about cooking. You do not overtalk the content and videos are visually excellent. And the recipies are refreshing and clearly presented with confidence!

Doing it right now with a bit of variation 'cuz my sundried tomatoes are dry so I have added some olive oil and a bit of water. Also used cashews instead of almonds and dried basil 'cuz it is winter here & I have no fresh basil. Thank you. I love your cupboard; and I thought I was organized. Hello Mr Man. How do you stay so lean and thin with all the fabulous foods you cook?! Do you actually eat the huge portions you serve? To not gain weight, I could only eat half the portions, and add a big salad on the side with a non-fat dressing. Still an amazing meal! I just love your channel and your recipes. So professionally presented - a real joy to watch you every week. Thank you for all the great work.
Sure he often makes relatively high calorie foods (lots of healthy fat often like chashews or olive oil), but you don't know what he eats the rest of the day. A dinner like this is totally fine. Also I'm pretty sure he is working out in some way, might be a runner even.

I just made this.....I made about a double amount...I have jars and jars of my own garden dried tomatoes, so I rehydrated them, lots of basil, my own garlic, my own dried oregano, olive oil, toasted sunflower seeds, pepper, and juice of a lemon, and about a cup of pasta water....absolutely delicious, and stirred in fresh parsley and basil at the end....next time will add some steamed peas, and everyone topped with parmesan...they loved it
I am loving this recipe, besides the amazing pasta i have also been eating the pesto with crackers or spreading on bread for sandwiches. I'm sure it would be amazing on tofu too. Thank you so much, an easy and delicious dinner. ❤
Just made this. So easy and delicious! I did have trouble blending it though, the mixture kept jamming up my Vitamix. I added 1/4 cup of pasta water...then a bit of EVOO...then some more water...and more water. Finally gave up!

Honestly i don't feel like the portions are too big to stay lean. It's often snacks and sweets where we overstep our caloric intake.
