Hi Gretchen, I see that you have come a long way since 2 years ago when you used to cut your napkins with scissors. Me too. Ha, ha. I absolutely love your videos and I hope that you will be making them on regular basis. Thank you for all the hints.
@@craftingwithgretchen We all evolve. Ha, ha. I usually sponge the paint on my object, so it has a textured effect, this way cut or tear my napkin, the edges do not show through so much. Keep on making the videos, even if the topics are the same, because with each video, you learn something new. Thank you.
I enjoyed this video so much! Thank you for making it. I'm a bit crafty, I make jewellery, and have only ever dabbled with very basic decoupage. This video was really sooo instructive and inspiring. Now I want to get on and fo some of this to add to my craft stalls!! Have a beautuful day 🙏💖
I love to decoupage & I've tried it on just abt everything. lol It's nice to see someone else using the same techniques as I do. Only difference is, I use Mod Podge to apply & then seal w the Dura Clear. I'll have to try your way! Do u find the napkins don't tear as easily when applying w Dura Clear? Thxs for the video! 💖
You are welcome! I find using DuraClear as the glue almost makes the napkin disappear onto the surface (in the best way). I'd love to hear back if you try it and what you think! 😊
Yeah woke up to seeing a new video. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Can you buy the products at the local Michaels etc? I prefer to run go get stuff. 🥴
I gave both the bottom and inside two coats of varnish just to keep the moisture out so it wouldn't cause issues with the design. Is that what you are asking?
Love the way you teach
Thanks so much 😊

@@craftingwithgretchen In the end, we always use what works in the particular situation and particular project. Cheers.
Very nice.
Thanks so much 😊
The parts that were about piecing and fixing mistakes were super helpful. Thanks.
So glad!
Looking forward to more of your creations!
Thanks 😊
Yay, thank you!

PS. Love to see how you print the design on Rice-paper.
I typically use tissue or the third layer of napkin but that's my next video, should be in next couple of days 😊

Absolutely, all available there.
And thanks for the enthusiasm!!
@@craftingwithgretchen you are very welcome.
How do you finish off the bottom?

Where did the napkins come from?
This napkin is from Caspari, purchased online. Hope that helps. The Klimt napkin was purchased as an individual napkin on Etsy.
Very nice but could you include links of tools bd ht not in your description links as for glue, brush, water pen, gold pen etc.
I will, sorry for the delay I went to link them and the prices had jumped so I'm going to work on that this morning.
They have all been added now. 😊

Thanks for being so helpful! 😊
