En 1969, le chanteur rencontre, à Chamonix, Michèle Potier. L'amour s'impose comme une certitude, mais ils ne sont libres ni l'un ni l'autre : lui a épousé en 1968 Daisy Brun son attachée de presse, elle est mariée et mère d'un petit garçon. @@wayze6585 combien de millions de gens sont capables de prouesses folles avec leur voix sur terre ? Et pourtant une poignée arrive à en vivre, notemment par pistonnage. La quasi totalité d'entre eux sont juste des interprètes ridicules qui ne marqueront pas l'histoire, certains sont interprètes et auteurs, mais il y en a tellement... Seul certains se démarquent vraiment, comme Dalida qui a mêlée chant avec tragédie (elle a enchaînée les malheurs, et elle finira par se tuer), balavoine lui écrivait et chantait des chansons fortes avec un message que la société, et Bashung à réussit à parfaitement unir musique et poésie, puisque la totalité de ses chanson sont des œuvres poétiques étudiées aujourd'hui, et contiennent quasi Toujours un double sens. Je te conseil d'écouter "pour ne pas vivre seul de Dalida" (pour le génie tragique), ensuite écoute "mon fils ma bataille" (pour les sujets brûlant et d'actualité) et fini par écouter "volutes" de Bashung (pour le génie poétique, puisque la musique à 2 lectures différentes, puisque qu'on peut entendre "volutes" au premier abord, mais en fait c'est trompeur car il parle de "vos luttes"). Donc non, chanter n'est pas suffisant pour une chanteur, j'espère je je me suis bien expliqué. Si tu me fais une réponse, je serais super content 😊

There's a duet she made with another great singer called Maurane, who was a friend of her, called "tu es mon autre" ("you're my other") and their voices together it is very beautiful ! Sadly Maurane died a few years ago, making the song even more meaningful now as it is about friendship/sisterhood/love between the two of them.

I’ve been a fan decades ago and she is absolutely considering her 25 years of vocals in 12 languages ( there’s a video “ Lara Fabian sings in 12 languages). The best female vocalist in the world. None even come close. Does Mariah, did Whitney, Streisand, Morissette, Celine belt them with emotional power in 12 languages?
Also she wrote “ Adagio” “ Broken Vow”
She also acts them out with her body. She embodies the songs.
By the way , “ Lara With Love” is my favorite live concert of all time. Not just Lara’s but no better concert in the history of concerts. There are at least 6 songs from this concert that are beyond amazing.

The combination of her interpretation, her skills and quality and THE pianist is INCREDIBLE, OUTSTANDING. Did you see what moral and physical condition she ends up in ?? She's empty, she gave it all, she needed time to recover. She wasn't performing a song her best, she was far beyond, she WAS the song.

Honestly. I have watched this video, then a bunch of reactions videos over and over like 10 time since yesterday and I continue to be just as floored about how primal and raw someone can be, and yet combined with a talent for essentially PERFECT singing technique and a willingness to FUCKING GO THERE and emotionally and surgically destroy herself ON STAGE. I am frankly just in disbelief that it's possible to do that, watch after watch.

It is a pleasurable surprise that there are still enough Dalida fans have come out to glorify Dalida's version. Come on guys. Be real! Dalida was a really good singer. She sadly met a tragic fate, so she deserves our sympathy. In the case of Je Suis Malade, however, Lara took this song emotionally way beyond the Dalida version I have seen here on UA-cam.

This is one of the many songs why I have remained a fan of Lara's for twenty years and counting. There is no singer-songwriter like her. I love how she totally dives into the lyric of her songs and her past experiences to bring the lyrics to life. It is a rare quality. French, English or any other language she sings in, the emotional resonance of her performance is felt.

Nice Reaction! I've been following Lara's career for over 25 years now and I'm so glad to see her fan base keep growing.
Lara is the ultimate artist. She always becomes the song. There are no fake emotions, no fake moves, no fake looks, no fake sadness and despair. She lets her true emotions tell the story, she lets those emotions empower her.
Her flawless technique combined with her unique talent for telling a story through her incredible voice is unmatched in my humble opinion.

Thank you so much. I only discovered Lara because of Dimash. This was the first song of hers that I listened to and must admit that this is where I've stayed. I have to play this every day. You are right - she lives the song and is so intense. When she finished, she was still so in the moment that she didn't seem to know what was happening around her for quite a few seconds.
