- Pre-Travel Day to Spain (25/02/24). I took the train to Manchester Airport and then had a stay at Premier Inn Runger Lane North hotel, in preparation for my flight to Spain the following day.

Yay! Spain! A little sun and warmth! Was in Barcelona a couple of weeks ago! 20 degrees and sunny! Very nice. Also spent a couple of sunny days in Marbella last October. Spain is nice!

Great vlog and pre travel day vlog to Spain G. A Car TFW to Manchester Airport you would think given TFW new trains that they would double them up for extra capacity. I enjoyed watching as always.

that Premier in at Manchester Airport looks amazing & ive only uses Manchester Airport station once which was in 2022 to change from Tram to Train & where i completed the tram network & the TfW 197s are amazing brilliant vlog as always

Hope you enjoy it here in Spain. I fly back to Manny airport quite frequently and everytime have ended up on the TFW back to picadilly at platform 13 and then take the trans pennine express over to doncaster . I miss the days when it was a direct train from the airport. and the worst thing about doing it on arrival is that i just have to buy the ticket at the time and it costs a fortune because you never know with the flights if theyre going to be delayed so you dont wanna lock yourself to a specific train. Not sure if you guys are heading to the south of spain but the weather is gorgeous here at the moment! Its like summer! so enjoy!

Love premier inns aswell. I travel down from Scotland to Manchester whenever I go abroad and stay in the same hotel as you're in. I've walked it from the airport. Only takes about 30 minutes. Enjoy Spain and looking forward to your next vlog

I live in East Didsbury, less than a 5 min walk to the station... You're right, some of the TFW trains go direct to the airport & some stop at East Didsbury. I was nearly caught out by that a few weeks ago returning from a trip to London... Trains running late🙄 9 or so mins apart, both TFW, the 1st direct to the airport, the 2nd stopping at East Didsbury...
They're all non-stop on a Sunday I think

Spain has a lot of interesting railways especially the gauge break within the country, as their AVE/AVLO/TGV Ouigo/Iryo high speed trains are standard gauge and the standard trains have a broader gauge
I gotta say no purple light in a premier inn room is a SIN!!! Get it right Premier Inn!! Glad to see you enjoyed the 4 wheel suitcase satisfaction 😂

Viva Espana, G! You can't beat a Premier Inn for an overnight stay, and usually pretty good value - it does exactly what it says on the tin. That bus that took you to the airport hotel - ADL Enviro 400?

Any card will work to switch the room lights on in a PremInn. If I'm going to reception etc I leave my card in the slot as I tend to use my Tesco clubcard & take the room keycard with me

We did the same back in June 2023 but we stopped at the Premier Inn at Heald Green, one stop up the line. Had an attached Beefeater so you could get a combined evening meal and breakfast deal.
Nice one, if only they served breakfast earlier at airport hotels! 😂
@@GLovesTrains I remember we stopped at the Holiday Inn Express for an early le Shuttle once, they gave us a goody bag to take away with a croissant (apt for France), an apple and some other bits and bobs, that was welcome.

reminds me of getting stupidly early to take me brother to Manchester airport so he could go to Orlando Florida to work for Disney was gonna do after plane spotting witch failed couldnt get to the mound way to moody kept falling on me arse wernt as bad as way down stopped at a petrol station i some how slipped and nearly headbutted a fuel pump trying to get in car hope Spain is fair on you its ironic as a mate goes on holiday to Spain think he stays at a villa near alicante or benidorm
