The best line I have ever heard was “catching” the clutch with the blip. Meaning the blip should still be in effect RPM wise when you are in the clutch friction zone. Once I thought of it like that, revmatching was a joke!
@@Adrenalean767 Sure, but there is say ~200ms delay after you physically nudge the throttle, for the throttle bodies in the engine to open up that much more, and injectors give more fuel, after which subsequently > engine RPM rises. It takes a lil bit of time for that chain of events to happen. So the blip isn't really instantenous. You do the motion with your right hand, and then that 0.2s (or whatever it is) later, you've gotta "catch" the actual rise in RPM with the cluch. Your throttle is already back down to close while the engine is still reved up from the 'blip' I think that's what my dude Zach meant here.
So I just started practicing rev matching I feel like I’m improving but I see videos were riders rev match gears back to back and looks smooth but when I do it sometimes I notice I take slower and longer to rev match between gears because if I drop from 4 to 3 the engine slows down a lot and I feel it because I kinda lunge foward it’s a rough slow down
Nice video. Did you have to have something installed to get your bike to Rev Match? I didn't know bikes can downshift without using the clutch and easing off the throttle.
Nope, didn’t have to add anything. BMW has had this tech since like 2012. A lot of other manufacturers now are finally catching up. On any other bike pre like 2019, yes you’ll have to add the feature some how. Kawi just added it in their 2021 models
Hi, appreciate the video but I just have a few question. The first question is Do we give the blimp before downshifting ? And second question is that my budget is 15 grand for a bike. Which bike should I buy? PS: I'm looking to buy a bike that I can drive for at least 6 Years.
@@bouncii7660 yes, also you can keep the throttle a bit open then shift down, I mean that blip can be opening a bit the throttle and maintaining it if this makes sense
@@bouncii7660 Yes, i do it: clutch in; you blip and with the foot press the shifter down at the same time then release the clutch without rpm drop, if you are maintaining the speed the blip still maintains so its really a little smell on the throttle

The throttle should be fully closed by the time u release the clutch.

Still watching this in 2023, the sound of effects be killing me.
The “VOOOOOOOOOOM”
😂
It’s the same concept when down shifting a semi truck 💪🏽💪🏽 good video!
Yes sirr! I appreciate you watching bro!
Thank you for making the video man. This is the first video I've watched where it "clicked" for me, going to practice this tomorrow. Nice bike btw.

thanks man you explained it perfectly
Glad it helped bro! 🤝🏾💯
Good video bro, I’m going to try this 👍🏾
Yes sirr!!
love from Bangladesh
Thanks for the love and for watching!
Awesome! Great instructions! Thank You!
Glad it was helpful!
I was always told its "pull in the clutch, downshift, blip then open clutch"
So you blip it before your down shift?
Whats your bike? Love your videos and humor Q. Intersections scare the $&@* outta me too!
2016 BMW S1000RR. Definitely keep head on swivel at intersections
Nice bike bro 😎
😂😂. Thanks bro! Looks similar to yours

Couldn’t find anything on wet clutch down shifting is there another name for it?
Auto blip
what type of bike do you have? thinking about getting one. your videos have helped me a lot. any suggestions?
This is a 2016 bmw s1000rr

Yes you would blip before downshifting. 15 grand it depends man. I definitely say go ride the bison sit on first. I’m not sure what your taste is
@@KickinItWithQ Thanks bro.
Kawasaki Vulcan S is goated. Half your budget too lol
I started riding today, should I try this next time I'm out or stick to the normal way
Definitely wait till you get more comfortable on the bike. It’s a more advanced skill
@@KickinItWithQ okay thanks, great videos though man 👍

Good info mayne
Preciate it bro 💪🏾💯
So u get off the throttle pull clutch and then before the rpms drop all the way u blipp?
It can drop but you pick it up using a blip of throttle
@@silver_surfer88 And a mil sec after blip u shift down right?

So u don’t roll off throttle
