I don't even own any black series. I use mainly TVC for the starwars board games I make. Making three home made starwars board games at the moment. One game about storm troopers. One game about Jedi. The main one I'm working on now is a choose your own adventure game based on ? action figures. I wanted to choose a game based on an underdog character. Turns out, it was more epic to what I had first thought.
Rebellions and TVC collecting seem to be built on hope. TVC collectors have demonstrated over the last few years the level of demand for the line, Hasbro say they’re listening but their decisions suggest otherwise. I still have hope for the line mainly because of the community but like you say we need parity between the lines and Hasbro needs to listen to collectors instead of just treating them like cash cows. Sorry my rant over!
Great video Tim, it is certainly frustrating that TVC gets 20 year old straight repacks but black series reissues get new tooling! Says it all. If they just recarded them in Tvc it would help!
Man BB - that Bastilla Shan was one that I looked so hard for back in 2011. No luck at all. Then one day on my way out of town, I hit a Toys R Us and boom - she was on the pegs! I grabbed it and never saw her again.
Great video Tim. I love that first 12 and stand. I would love to see once they update the 5 figures you were talking about they would re-release a stand in the shape of the Vintage Collection logo!
I stopped collecting figures around 1998 but I still love to watch YT videos (like yours) about SW action figures. (I do pick up the occasional figure here and there.) Anyway, I see your 12-figure stand in the background and now am DYING to see how it would look with the modern, TVC-equivalent figures on it. Maybe you could do a side-by-side comparison photo with 24 total figures on it (12 vintage and 12 TVC)? And also a photo of just the 12 TVC figures contrasted next to a photo of the 12 vintage figs? Just thought I'd ask! Have a great day.
It’s funny you mention which TVC figures you are still needing when, myself as a non completist and loose collector I looked over your complete checklist just yesterday and I concluded I just need four: Lando, Mando, Nikto and Pruny! Meaning: Lando Gaming Great, Nikto TVC 99 to be coming out again next year, Prune Face and I’ve submitted to the fact that I need one more death watch Mandalorian
Question for next week: With the forthcoming new Clone Trooper sculpt in TVC, would you object to Hasbro reissuing some of the older Clones with the new sculpts but retaining the original card backs and VC numbers, perhaps as part of a repack wave. I personally like to upgrade and replace some of my vintage TVC1.0 figures if the 2.0 reissues are noticeable improvements and it would be nice to do this with the Clones without having to duplicate them all again with new cardbacks and VC numbers. Ditto for other figures this approach would work with such as the Sandtrooper.
Question for next week tim , do you think we could be getting more army building packs . Need stormtroopers, rebel commandoes, ewoks, and more bespin guards with the new sculpts.
Tim! I am SO IN FAVOR of a Bespin do-over! First, Bespin Han is my all time favorite look for my favorite character, and the existing figure doesn't cut it at all. I would love to see an all new Bespin Han that knocks it out of the park with detailing, articulation, and likeness. (I feel like Han is the MOST underserved of the main 3 characters, with ZERO figures that are anywhere close to modern standards.) But where I think we could really score are these potential deluxe figure ideas: idea #1- a deluxe Bespin Luke that includes swappable parts for pre and post-Vader duel looks. I would happily pay a deluxe figure price for a Luke that came with a second, beat up looking head, an arm missing a hand, and other assorted swappable battle damage. It would be extra amazing if it came with a "prop" severed hand with no peg, and maybe a crate or two, from Vader flinging all that junk at him. Idea #2 - a figure 2 pack with a newly tooled Chewbacca, and a new, removable limbs C-3PO. Of course, including the harness Chewie needs to carry 3PO around in. I would easily pay a 3 FIGURE PACK PRICE to get these two figures and the harness.
Hey Tim question for next week when you and little Bossk go into retail stores are your TVC figures stocked to the max where if you try to touch one they all fall or is it empty ? Thank you keep it up.
Kia ora Bossk, great Q&A as always, I watch every week. My question for next week is, we already have some cool stuff revealed for ROTJ 40th and it's clear there is more to come (hopefully an unproduced skiff guard), but given we get so few all new figures in TVC, do you think we are in for a bumper year or will it come at the cost of figures from new media?
Hey Bossk fine job on your video quick question for next week:( do you think despite the cost of action figures going up would we ever get an ISB agent from the Battlefront II game? I would like it or more Imperial officers with different head sculps pack? To me I would go for the Endor rebel commando 4 pack, and scarif rebel trooper pack to build the Rebellion army. I think Hasbro should try to make new action figures for the TVC line since the black series has release more than the vintage. May the force be with you always!
Question for next week: Do you feel like TVC 1.0 are dropping in resale prices? It feels like the market is really soft, even for some of the more desirable characters. Certainly there are exceptions here and there, but even some unpunched gems are selling for half of where they were six months ago (or less!). Great video Tim!
shan and star killer was actually peg warmers every time they came out, strangely enough just like fett and mayfield, at one target, only place within miles you can find vc stuff
Awesome Bossk. Question for next week, considering the cost of collections, either individual items or as a whole, do you have yours insured? Many thanks for all you do, hopefully see you at Echo Live.
Great video BB and a question for next weeks video is, would you like an Asajj Ventress and Durge from the 2D Clone Wars to hit the TVC or do you believe those would be left in the early 2000s?
Brilliant video great Mig figure great to see there's always someone willing to help each other out in the TVC community, I still need to get that all green one I totally forgot all about it with so many figures coming out all at the same time lately! So this will hopefully remind me to get one. Speaking of Bastilla Shan I seen her on Tunghori but she's sold out does that mean perhaps she will be re released soon because the other figures they had just put up where all being reissued like the Kithba skiff guard
I’ve been a 3.75 collector since the Kenner days and when TBS started up i started buying that too but late last year when the windowless packaging became a thing i bailed on TBS. Done. For years, with 3.75, i’ve focused on Mos Eisley/Cantina and Mos Espa from TPM and AOTC plus any EU characters associated with the places mentioned. Now, personally, i’m hoping Hasbro finish off the Cantina and get the rest of the Pod Racers done as well (i doubt they will but one can be hopeful). For the Cantina and Mos Eisley there’s: Tzizvvt Solomahal Reegesk Sai’torr Kal Fas Ariq Joanson Neesh Debnoli Swilla Corey Yerka Mig Rycar Ryjerd Merc Sunlet Arliel Schous Melas Baniss Keeg Lirin Car’n Damono Deomaley Ownellco Garouf LaFoe Lhojugg Atheloe Davelynn Schmee Gela Yeens Sariss WED-9-M1 Nevar Yalnal Tawss Khaa Braconnor Bakiska R2-G4 Brindy Truchong Hennet Kayn Eyvind Still to do yet….Lots of characters from The Mandalorian and TBOBF from Tatooine as well that still haven’t seen a figure. The Pod Racers there’s: Boles Roor Elan Mak Ebe E Endocott Wan Sandage Neva Kee Ark ‘Bumpy’ Roose Aldar Beedo Hell, even Chalmun from the EU (Cantina) and the characters from the Cantina in the Holiday Special (they’ve already done a few from it). Will Hasbro deliver the goods? Doubtful. I guess we all need another Fett and a (add battalion number here) Clone. (SIGH).
Great job on the Hasbro Q&A, Tim! Especially the follow-up question about the VC186 price relative to the Target exclusives. My question for next week relates to that. QUESTION - Hasbro seems determined to keep Boba Fett on the market. While their motivations seem to be complicated, it does show a commitment to the character because he sells. The VC186 Boba Fett is an amazing figure despite all of the repaints, but is specific to RETURN OF THE JEDI. There are some noticeable differences between the Boba Fett costume from TESB and ROTJ - the color of the gauntlets are the most noticeable, but there are others too. Given Hasbro's recent track record with Boba Fett, do you think that Hasbro would commit to an accurate TESB version of his armor, or simply repaint him?
Hi Tim,hope all is well. QFNW although it’s probably more advice. How does the Mandalorian figure from the rescue set compare against previous Mando figures? I’m after a new one as the one I have does not stand properly and the paint job on helmet isn’t great! I love the look on the one from the set, especially the soft goods cape. I have all the other set figures in other forms but effectively is the set worth it just for that Mando/Din Djarin figure? I can’t decide, hoping for some expert advice!! Thanks as always for all you do!! Mark
Wow, so I didn't know until your video that there was a Migs Mayfield varient. Ran and checked mine and its the green one! Now it looks like I need to go find the "normal" one. Yes, I know I'm a few weeks behind, but behind in many ways- trying to get informed after a nearly 15 year break in collecting. Keeping up with the current offerings is challenging enough.
I agree with you on TVC figures we need more. But, they should still make at least 2-3 TVC Vehicles/playsets a year and make them expensive and awesome and do a low production run of them. And, It should come with at Least 2 TVC CARDED FIGURES. GREAT VIDEO BOSSK AS ALWAYS!
Great video and background display set up! Speaking of displays, question for next week: if you had all the space and no limit on budget, what is the one display set up or diorama you would want to have in your collection? For me it would be between battle of hoth and a Death Star hangar bay diorama. Love to hear your thoughts and thanks for answering my question from last week 👍🏻
Brilliant and insightful video as ever Tim. I think Hasbro turned off your camera at the recent Q&A so they couldn’t see you rolling your eyes! Question for next week: what are your thoughts on the deep discounting we’ve been seeing in the last few weeks ( figures for 3.95, 5.95, 7.95 in UK) Seems to be TVC and TBS. Lots of people online talking about prices and ‘waiting for discounts’ can’t be good for either line. Cheers mate 👍
Vintage figures need to produce new characters at the same amount as the black series there are two many collectors in vintage and retro to be ignored by Disney in favor of black series. The higher ups at Disney need to realize that beside there being way more people in 3.75 inch figure line collecting then there black series. Vintage can make all the play sets, beast, ships, and multipacks then black series. Most collectors want these and black series has always had a difficult time selling these because of size, cost, and lack of interests. Want proof Has-lab Rancor was a disaster. On the other hand, vintage will sell lots of ships beast and sets not only in stores and has lab but with independent creators. Vintage lines should be the main focus and at minimum on equal footing with black series. There are many new series and. Movies that are made that there is a lot of source material to create new vintage character that have not been created before. Please Disney I beg you do the vintage line justice and please your main collector base Sean G
Cheers Tim and Happy 2023 to you! QFNW, why do you think the AT-ST and the new Slave I don't have carded figures, but the bunker and speeder bike do? All of the play sets and vehicles in recent years have had a carded figure and in a year when we get a bumper crop (comparatively) of vehicles and play sets, they start taking carded figures away. Very curios to know your thoughts, thank you :)
Question for next week Tim I personally don’t care for the holiday theme black series figures I think they are a bit silly and Unnecessary love to hear your thoughts cheers
Thanks Tim! Not sure how old you are, but I’m turning 50 next week, and I’m noticing my vision is getting worse with each passing year. My declining eyesight is affecting my ability to fully enjoy the 3.75” scale. I wonder if that’s why Hasbro is pushing the 6” figures so hard on us dinosaurs? Only partially joking…Thanks again for all you do!
i haven't seen any of the playsets in stores not since Snoke's throne room and i haven't? seen any beasts, maybe for the Solo movie, unless i ordered the guard dogs online, i can't remember
wrecker pretty sure would be a deluxe and think omega come with him, or do another one as a deluxe with her, or do the ship and has her as pack in, but again they have jawa's, grogu and others as carded figure so hard say,
Hello BB, Question for next Sunday. Do you know how many ROTJ TVC figures will be released this year? and which ones? Many thanks for your help and channel.
Question for next week: Are we getting a second wave of ROTJ retro figures? Do we know when the next wave of new media retro figures are coming (Mando S3 or BOBF)? Will you be getting the wave of retro Indy figures?
Awesome work BB. Now that we are finally getting a new phase 2 clone trooper, what trooper are you hoping hasbro will do next? For me it would either be a newly tooled snowtrooper, or a kashyyyk trooper.
Love your videos they are very entertaining. Here's a question for next weeK: with the Mandalorian season three trailer dropping this week, how many of the characters featured in the trailer do you think we will get next 2 years? And follow up - which ones? Thanks and keep up the good work!
I agree that TVC gets left a bit behind in relation to other lines. Really hoping they will release all of The Bad Batch in TVC now that season 2 has started.
Greetings from upstate new york, Tim question for next weeks; are there special methods to make displays? I took part of the rescue set and made a hallway like display for mando/gideon but i can find a way to get them to stay standing, any recommendations on stands? Thank you and may the force be with you.
Hi Tim, again, great video ! Now question, do you think habro will be back with the promotion for a mailaway figure one day ? In past we got VCP03: Boba Fett, VC61: Boba Fett, CW Sgt. Bric & Galactic Battle Mat, CW Nahdar Vebb, CW Captain Rex, 2007 VINTAGE coin set...
Question for you Tim. If we collectors feel like Figure Dream Packs are the only way to get more 100% newly tooled figures and we’ve told Hasbro we want this repeatedly, then why don’t you think they are doing it? They’ve risked other HasLabs and failed. Why do you think they are not doing this? And what do you think needs to be done for them to do it? Thanks buddy.
Great video, sir! With the Endor Han on the way, do you think that a ROTJ General Leia could follow? This would give Hasbro a 2nd shot at doing Endor Leia properly, considering it’s the same look minus the soft goods poncho. Just like Han’s coat.
I ended up buying around 6-8 of the Boba Fett figures and every single one of them was missing the chest armor read out sculpt, so I never did track down the variant. It’s just mind boggling how Hasbro continues to screw up on those kind of details, especially now that the line is so mature. One would think they’d know what they’re doing but obviously they still miss things….🤷🏻♂️.
I can agree that currently BS is doing better with new tooling then TVC but when you go back to the Power of the Force lines and the early 2000's then the TVC line just being known as 3.75 then it was so many awesome figures from video games, comics, and lots from the expanded universe. id love to see any Ralph McQuarrie figurers in 6inch or Starkiller
Hi Tim, question for your next ABB episode. Hasbro recently held a brand team Q&A, but no fan streams or events on the horizon for new reveals. When do you think the next fan stream will be? Do you think Hasbro is slowing things down since wave 1 of this year hasn’t really hit retailers yet?
Hi Tim, Loving the videos - do keep them up. QFNW - I think a majority agree that many of the original trilogy figures need retooling for VC (I personally agree with your choices from this week re the original 12) but in the event Hasbro don't do this what do you think are the chances of them reissuing some/any of the Original Trilogy/Saga figures? I am new to collecting and have missed out on so many of the main figures from the orig 96 and am worried I will never be able to obtain them.
Great video, question for next week, do you think we will ever get those underground jedi like coleman kcaj, yarael poof, adi gallia, eeth koth, deppa bilaba, etc. In the tvc? I would really love to get the full council or at least getting some of them, unfortunately i think we will have to wait until they’re shown in another tv series, but even that would not secure a place in the tvc since we have no yaddle, deppa bilaba or tera sinube, keep up the great work! Thanks 👌👌👌
Black series takes up way too much space plus the higher prices are a turnoff. If not for VC and Retro I'd just quit. I've been into VC since 1.0 and the VOTC precursors .
Bossk, at 5 min and 11 sec is a question , i think maybe he was asking about the 80s figures , maybe not the current vintage collection figures. because the current one is still going, so asking if you have a complete one doesn't make sense, no one can have one, because it's not done yet.
Hi Bossk. Another great video as always. Here's my question ... what do you think the chances are that we'll get Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger in the TVC? Especially knowing that they are going to be in the new Ahsoka show
The Vintage Collection gets better treatment in my opinion. Look at the soft goods and extra accessories that fennec comes with compared to the black series. Look at the new sculpt for Vader, and the outdated re-release black series got. We also get way more finish the 96 characters and black series gets tons of repaints. Vintage collection is also getting a jabbas palace and a N1 Naboo starfighter. We also got way more Mandalorians and better selection in my opinion. Our sculpts are killing it compared to the black series which still has tons of pinned double knees and re-use. The Aayla Secura in the black series has re-use on its legs from an outdated figure with pins in the knees. I think this is a “grass is greener on the other side” thing. We have it better trust me. Other than for the new shows. Which lets be honest sucked. I’d much rather get things like Lobot and whatnot.
Hi BB. QFNW: Gut instinct - do you think Count Dooku will once again get the most points in this year's SWTVC March Madness? I'm not asking if you think he'll win the bracket; just if he'll be the "number 1 seed" again. Thanks man.
Oh Tim I just sent you message about the Q&A! I'm glad that you caught that bullshit about the Archives Leia and Han also! I can't believe they had the balls to even say that after the bullshit about the costs!!!!!!! WHAT A SLAP IN OUR FACE!!!!!!
all the rebel figures, and all bad batch figures, not to mention all the proper team up's, every figure uses gi joe joint system, and new tools/molds evertime, no reason they cant treat us better
i have a vader that never knew was wrong and not sure why it is what it is, never seen another now that i have looked and yes sure didn't get em mixed up it was in the vc package keep em by their cards, the vc vader i got for new hope has the anakin head under helmet (must been an early thing they was doing and changed it) the ones i got later on had a pretty ugly molded helmet
Great episode Bossk! Question for next week: With Hasbro always talking and TVC community always asking about balancing the scales, is there any way of for lack of better words, forcing Hasbros' hand is balancing the scales? I know they say to vote with your wallet, but the scales are so out of whack, even balancing would seem overwhelming. Imagine TVC with Black Series budget 🥺
Nothing like a good rave🤦♂️ I mean rant from you Bossk! Question... Do you think that they will relese a Simaloo or standad dignitary figure to complete the 96 or even EV 909, being that it is the 40th anniversary of ROTJ. Cheers👍🍻
The lack of TVC has recently pushed me out and I’ve since moved on to Hot Toys 1/6 scale. Us collectors have the money, it just seems like Hasbro doesn’t want it at this point
What are the chances of a Mandalorian four pack with the Mandalorians from season three with the multi coloured armour? Hasbro already have the parts they just need to change the paint. Thoughts?
Also Tim, I have a favor to ask! I've already submitted my SWTVC March Madness picks to you in the comments of that March Madness post you did. But, my son, who's 7, says he really wants to do a list too. Obviously, he doesn't have his own social media or Instagram accounts to do this. Can I submit a second list to you on that MM post, with you knowing in advance that it's my son's list and not me trying to submit a second time? That said, I'd LOVE a video where you break down your own top 25, and LITTLE BOSSK does his!
"Why Does The Vintage Collection Play Second to The Black Series?" That's the easiest question to answer. Those bastards at hasblo have been pushing the black series as a REPLACEMENT for 3.75" figures. In their little minds, they thought they could PHASE OUT 3.75" figures in favor of keeping the 6" for more profit per unit. They failed. They were VERY shortsided, and forgot to factor in the demand for creatures, PLAYSETS, vehicles, etc. Of course, we all know these things, but patrick & co. are FOOLS. Now, every TVC item we get, it's like we should PRAISE hasblo for for it. When in fact, they just keep releasing mistake after mistake without a care in the world. Just look at the new Speeder Bike fiasco as an example. Scouts, Leia, and Luke can't even sit on them!
We’ve had 2 failed black series Haslabs and 2 successful TVC Haslabs. Do you think Hasbro’s next Haslab will be TVC so they can get a win or do you think they’ll just keep flogging a dead horse and go for another Black Series? Thoughts. I personally want a TVC sandcrawler.
Question for next week: Do you think they’ll make a commander Cody or a TK trooper as seen in the bad batch?? Also great stuff on the channel your the one channel I go to for news.
Hi Christian, I think I put a pic of the Bad Batch Cody in this video (while talking about Cody) - so yeah man I think Cody from BB is entirely possible.
hi my question for next week would be about 2 versions of the same figure One with without thigh-swivel. I like 4 packs I want Death Trooper and new STORMTROOPER with without it Next time your on Interview with Hasbro can you Please ask them about this ?? i like my idea you can ask them to do it on haslab or options with the figure or 4 packs idea
I'm sure I'm speaking to the choir here, but we all need to quit buying black series. Maybe Hasbro will get rid of it and just focus on TVC. And when is the next Haslab? Seems like that's the only way to get new vehicles now.
Hey BB, not a question but general observation after watching the live stream. I think the problem isn't Hasbro neglecting Vintage Collection for Black Series. I think it's more like VC is shrinking in popularity among consumers and Hasbro is reacting to that. My gut says it's part of it is due to the toy industry at large shifting to 6 inch scale across many lines, especially for collectible highly articulated action figures. I've noticed the disparity in popularity after I started branching out into collecting other 3.75 inch lines. They seem to be much more boutique compared to 6 inch lines. For example, I just started collecting a line called Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S, because I'm a fan of fantasy but also because they match up size wise with my VC figures. There's a visually similar, also customization friendly fantasy line, called Mythic Legions, in 6-inch scale. Their community is much more active and the line in general seems more popular. Second hand demand is high as well with prices on eBay that rival and exceed the prices of even rare VC and BS figures. Funnily enough, Mythic Legions was conceptualized as a 3.75 inch scale line while crowdfunding and pivoted to 6 inch scale because the demand was greater and according to them wasn't going to cost much much more to manufacture. Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S even recently announced dipping their toes into their own 6 inch line. Anyway, long story short, I think 3.75in scale in general has been waning in popularity and that seems to be across many lines, not just VC. I can speculate lots of reasons why but the proof is in Hasbro's strategy to keep the line going. More re-use of parts, less vehicles, higher costs. Would you pay near Black Series prices to consistently get new characters and unique tooling? Or Haslab prices for each new vehicle? Some of us might, but we all know those options won't sell broadly and be bad PR. I don't think the 3.75 inch scale is going away anytime soon, but bottom the line is it's not popular with kids as it used to be. Just us adults that are still young at heart :)
boosk you still need the empire strike back carded stormtrooper from playset?? have a ment one been saving for you in case, will send no problem, you help your fans as i do,be my gift, plus anything else you need let me know, overstocked anyway, think the ben from saga collection is pretty good has a double jointed neck, but the table and holo prolly make it deluxe fig now
Really enjoyed this I actually think with hasbro nothing is safe and do feel they will reissue majority including slave leia renamed …. Ps hope hasbro gets the N1 been waiting too long now
For the most part I'm a BS collector, but TVC gets way more different figs, ships and dios imo. Got the TVC Rogue One X-Wing and the Carbon Freezing Chamber recently and I love it so much. Black Series lacks in terms of such stuff.
To be fair, TVC gets more figures at a lower price than BS and also most TVC figs come with a removable or swappable helmet, which I, as BS collector, can only dream of having. TVC also gets more accurate parts and less re issues. For example the walmart exclusive Fordo for both TVC and BS. The BS version is massively inaccurate. Imo Hasbro's views are TVC > BS
@@lamarravery4094 not true, I think they are up to part or I would even say that TVC has a greater edge especially with the whole TVC only plastic packaging and plastic free for BS. I collect both but I would love to receive the TVC treatment on some figures on the BS line such as the swappable heads or printed heads behind the helmet. The BS like has received massive reissued parts that don’t even make sense with the character in any way. TVC at least gets some or most parts accurate to the character…
hi my question would be about 2 versions of the same figure One with without thigh-swivel. I like 4 packs I want Death Trooper and new STORMTROOPER with without it Next time your on Interview with Hasbro can you Please ask them about this ?? i like my idea you can ask them to do it on haslab or options with the figure or 4 packs idea
think cody is still a perfect figure better than any repack and not including the brand new molds that are lack of better term, made like gi joes, like the obi wan, andor and various others, not sure why deathwatch trooper has this upgrade and mando doesn't they use the same body, actually fixed mando using parts from DW trooper, colors do not match, but was painting it anyway, but pretty sure no would really complain buyin cody at 18 a pop, ppl are dishing out up to 180 for it
ony problem with ppl waiting for the new clone body its going be later in the year, and cody prices keep climbing would almost say if you want it, now is the time, again...could possible lower with new body getting closer, but know becuz its on the card back of a biker scout ppl think its coming soon THIS IS FALSE, the bike isn't coming till close to summer, then that clone prolly end of year, soo keep that in mind, just becuz some ppl got a speeder bike from hasbro warehouse months early, doesn't mean much, it is along time off, i say aug before we can even think about seeing clones
What I don't get is, can't they just downsize a Black Series figure without it costing very much? Surely shrinking the mold is easy, why give one figure in TVC different legs when you could just shrink the BS one that is done correctly?
Hi Rick, downsizing the digital sculpt is one thing, paying for the steel moulds in another. They have mentioned before tat joints/hinges are different on each scale due to various issues with plastic and how much pressure is on those joints etc.
I acryally think tvc is very expensive...here we make 28,50€ a day and one figure cost 20,00 € I work I the biggest toy company in Greece and they don't sell it anymore because they think it's too expensive for a toy OK it's collector toy but again they are expensive I just don't want to think how much money I have spend for my collection haha but it's a huge one .... a 12 figure pack would be great to do and they could make more army stuff with every unit in it ...like a stormtrooper with other troopers maybe jedis maybe aliens maybe rebels maybe lightside heroes or dark side heroes and stuff they can do so many things actually if the y want they can try make some really big pack of base but they will be so expensive almost no one will buy it ...I don't know they must reconsider the cost of the figures seriously
The shore trooper leg mould needs to be destroyed it is so bad. How can they keep releasing figures using these legs like aldhani andor and migs mayfield when they can’t bend anywhere close to 90 degrees.
to be honest not sure why ppl think its coming in jan or feb, there are not even pictures of it yet, pre orders go up long before, look at fett throne, and some of the figures pre order now, march, may, july, so no its not comin in next wave and you tubers need to stop tellin ppl straight up lies
Hasbro is always going to care about the 6 inch collectors more because they always complain the most out of anyone. I mean look at how much the marvel legends community complains about every little thing.
100% buddy!
Great video Tim, it is certainly frustrating that TVC gets 20 year old straight repacks but black series reissues get new tooling! Says it all. If they just recarded them in Tvc it would help!
Boycott black series. That is the way. Otherwise Hasbro won't make more TVC.
Man BB - that Bastilla Shan was one that I looked so hard for back in 2011. No luck at all. Then one day on my way out of town, I hit a Toys R Us and boom - she was on the pegs! I grabbed it and never saw her again.
Would swappable heads/helmets be the way to go with troopers (like the Mandos we have)? to get the helmet /head scales in correct proportion.
Great idea! I second the notion!
That of course is everything up to the figrin Dan wave.
Thanks!
Superb episode (as ever!) BB! One excellent, thought-provoking question (and answer!) after another :)
Yup I’m seeing people dump there collections too. A lot now.
A great man once said flight to quality…which is happening, but 1.0 will come again in general.
Must be people retiring, or inflation, times are hard, people need to make ends meet.
shan and star killer was actually peg warmers every time they came out, strangely enough just like fett and mayfield, at one target, only place within miles you can find vc stuff
I would love figures that have never been done
I’ve been a 3.75 collector since the Kenner days and when TBS started up i started buying that too but late last year when the windowless packaging became a thing i bailed on TBS. Done.
For years, with 3.75, i’ve focused on Mos Eisley/Cantina and Mos Espa from TPM and AOTC plus any EU characters associated with the places mentioned. Now, personally, i’m hoping Hasbro finish off the Cantina and get the rest of the Pod Racers done as well (i doubt they will but one can be hopeful).
For the Cantina and Mos Eisley there’s:
Tzizvvt
Solomahal
Reegesk
Sai’torr Kal Fas
Ariq Joanson
Neesh
Debnoli
Swilla Corey
Yerka Mig
Rycar Ryjerd
Merc Sunlet
Arliel Schous
Melas
Baniss Keeg
Lirin Car’n
Damono Deomaley
Ownellco
Garouf LaFoe
Lhojugg
Atheloe
Davelynn Schmee
Gela Yeens
Sariss
WED-9-M1
Nevar Yalnal
Tawss Khaa
Braconnor Bakiska
R2-G4
Brindy Truchong
Hennet Kayn
Eyvind
Still to do yet….Lots of characters from The Mandalorian and TBOBF from Tatooine as well that still haven’t seen a figure.
The Pod Racers there’s:
Boles Roor
Elan Mak
Ebe E Endocott
Wan Sandage
Neva Kee
Ark ‘Bumpy’ Roose
Aldar Beedo
Hell, even Chalmun from the EU (Cantina) and the characters from the Cantina in the Holiday Special (they’ve already done a few from it).
Mark
First time watching one of those. Thanks for the breakdown!!
The green is the 'normal' screen accurate one. The red is incorrect. Hope you find one!
@@BossksBounty Good info! Thanks for the correction!
Amazing episode!! Thank you BB!
Dewback and Blurg yes, I agree with you we're unlikely to get them
Question for next week Tim I personally don’t care for the holiday theme black series figures I think they are a bit silly and Unnecessary love to hear your thoughts cheers
i did do alot of repaints with cody, proper ROTS cody, bad batch, and captain vaughn
You have 4 years on me buddy lol
I love TVC, but I have gravitated to BS for this very reason....
i haven't seen any of the playsets in stores not since Snoke's throne room and i haven't? seen any beasts, maybe for the Solo movie, unless i ordered the guard dogs online, i can't remember
wrecker pretty sure would be a deluxe and think omega come with him, or do another one as a deluxe with her, or do the ship and has her as pack in, but again they have jawa's, grogu and others as carded figure so hard say,
Hello BB, Question for next Sunday.
Awesome video like always keep up the good work.
Hey bossk what would be in your opinion the most underated vintage figure 😊
I mean, slapping a VOTC Leia head on a Legacy Medical Frigate Leia's body might be good enough for a stopgap
Amazing Tim
As always. 🎉🎉🎉👍☝️😊
Thanks as always for the quality content!
Thank you for watching!
Thanks 👌👌👌
Always wanted a full council set. Especially when we saw them in eps1 eps2 figures line
Black series takes up way too much space plus the higher prices are a turnoff. If not for VC and Retro I'd just quit. I've been into VC since 1.0 and the VOTC precursors .
I’m just getting the 40th TBS mostly. But Retro & TVC are priority and OG Kenner
@@darthwizzywizard Yes I cherry pick and will only get the Fett 40th Jedi . Pass on all others as it takes too much space.
Especially knowing that they are going to be in the new Ahsoka show
Great question! Follow up: do you think that they will be modeled on the clone wars versions or the Ahsoka show?
@Damon Whitaker personally, if they are made, I think they will be modeled after the actors on the Ahsoka show.
@@chrisrooks5964 I agree.
Great video, keep it up 👍👌👌
Great ABB episode. When Hasbro speaks balance they mean balancing inaccurate partial
tooling with a handful of all new tooling on a puny budget. 😄
Thanks man.
Wow I actually have those two figures MOC unpunched (Bastilla Shan and Starkiller), LOL
Oh Tim I just sent you message about the Q&A! I'm glad that you caught that bullshit about the Archives Leia and Han also! I can't believe they had the balls to even say that after the bullshit about the costs!!!!!!! WHAT A SLAP IN OUR FACE!!!!!!
all the rebel figures, and all bad batch figures, not to mention all the proper team up's, every figure uses gi joe joint system, and new tools/molds evertime, no reason they cant treat us better
startin to wonder if we get a carded boosk, sure if we do be a repack but wonder if it be a re release, or new card style, maybe from cw or something
i have a vader that never knew was wrong and not sure why it is what it is, never seen another now that i have looked and yes sure didn't get em mixed up it was in the vc package keep em by their cards, the vc vader i got for new hope has the anakin head under helmet (must been an early thing they was doing and changed it) the ones i got later on had a pretty ugly molded helmet
Are you expecting Paz Viszla early? Its slated for March on STAR
Should have it......soon...
@@BossksBounty hope it lives up to expectations, been a long time coming. 👋
Hi Mr. Bossk...any word on a new leia in bespin gown for TVC?
Go for it buddy
"Commander Cody"s...little pea head..." Lol 😆
anyone notice this- all the DELUXE FIGURES are tied to the mandalorian show line
hi my question for next week would be about 2 versions of the same figure One with without thigh-swivel.
I like 4 packs I want Death Trooper and new STORMTROOPER with without it Next time your on Interview with Hasbro can you Please ask them about this ?? i like my idea you can ask them to do it on haslab or options
with the figure or 4 packs idea
Just us adults that are still young at heart :)
boosk you still need the empire strike back carded stormtrooper from playset?? have a ment one been saving for you in case, will send no problem, you help your fans as i do,be my gift, plus anything else you need let me know, overstocked anyway, think the ben from saga collection is pretty good has a double jointed neck, but the table and holo prolly make it deluxe fig now
Do you think we’re going to get Star Wars rebels figures
Really enjoyed this I actually think with hasbro nothing is safe and do feel they will reissue majority including slave leia renamed …. Ps hope hasbro gets the N1 been waiting too long now
Not sure about Leia - Disney don't want bikini clad females. Hence why TBS never got Oola as part of Haslab!
😭😭, black series gets all the new figures from the new media. I want black series to be cancelled. TVC needs to be brought back to life.
I like 4 packs I want Death Trooper and new STORMTROOPER with without it Next time your on Interview with Hasbro can you Please ask them about this ?? i like my idea you can ask them to do it on haslab or options
with the figure or 4 packs idea
Black series cost the consumer more money.
And there's not much world building. They're the wrong scale, that's why originally Kenner made the figures 3.75 inches.
think cody is still a perfect figure better than any repack and not including the brand new molds that are lack of better term, made like gi joes, like the obi wan, andor and various others, not sure why deathwatch trooper has this upgrade and mando doesn't they use the same body, actually fixed mando using parts from DW trooper, colors do not match, but was painting it anyway, but pretty sure no would really complain buyin cody at 18 a pop, ppl are dishing out up to 180 for it
How many Build a Droid have there been ??? HASLAB could come out with 12 different Droids as there next Project !!!
ony problem with ppl waiting for the new clone body its going be later in the year, and cody prices keep climbing would almost say if you want it, now is the time, again...could possible lower with new body getting closer, but know becuz its on the card back of a biker scout ppl think its coming soon THIS IS FALSE, the bike isn't coming till close to summer, then that clone prolly end of year, soo keep that in mind, just becuz some ppl got a speeder bike from hasbro warehouse months early, doesn't mean much, it is along time off, i say aug before we can even think about seeing clones
What and we don't 🤣
@@starwarsroo2448 how many people did you see mass complaining about the new haslab ghost rider again?
@@darealnickcage4329 erm a lot? And how much do we moan about tvc and the rest of it? A lot?
