Love my Return of the Jedi, Boba Fett. It was my first ever vintage collection figure and my entry into the hobby!! Really fun video, I really enjoyed it.
Even thought he’s a deluxe figure, when I got Paz Vizsla in hand, the first thing I thought is he’s a contender for figure of the year, we are only through the first quarter of the year, so I don’t know how it will pan out, but Paz is certainly up there for me.
Just my opinion but I hate swappable heads. The whole reason I enjoy these figures is the removable helmet. Now grant it, the execution could be better on some but if I were a child, I would not want to carry around an extra head if I wanted to play with these Mandos and have to pull their heads off in order to remove their helmets. The only time the swappable heads are necessary are for characters with ponytails or big hair. For those a swappable head is permissible.
Yeah I would prefer removeable helmets but only if there made in scale with the figure. If that cant be achieved for whatever reason then swappable heads is better.
@@BossksBounty When Kenner finally released Luke and Han in stormtrooper outfits I was disappointed by the head sculpts but damn was I excited that the had the removable helmets. Those early figures were all about using imagination and the playability anyway. It wasn’t like the regular versions of Luke and Han had good head sculpts. Especially when you look at big and small head Han. Geez. They dropped the ball twice on that one. Poor Han.
Another great video Bossk! My top 5 mandalorian figures (carded): 5) VC186 (ROTJ Boba Fett); 4) VC226 (Bo Katan); 3) VC177 (Din Djarin + unmasked head + Grogu); 2) VC166 ("The Mandalorian"); 1) VC252 (Morak Boba Fett).
As a relatively new collector of TVC, I was surprised to see two figures from your rankings in my collection! I got two Death Watch Mandalorians…but they’re in sixth scale! Those boys have three rank stripes, I am probably going to paint them eventually to differentiate them. Great video sir! Cheers!
I'm very happy with all the Mandalorians that we've gotten in the last few years from TVC. I don't really army build them because I prefer the idea of every Mando having their own unique looking armor. More like the Children of the Watch rather the Death Watch from the Clone Wars. And that's how I use the Prototype Boba Fett, and will use the comic book Boba when it comes out. As different Mandalorians to fill group displays. I know that doesn't help with your carded display, but that's what I do with my loose collection. I pretty much agree with your list, otherwise.
The new Deluxe Boba Fett is my personal favorite figure, albeit you don’t get that signature bubble on card, but the figure with accessories is the pinnacle of Vintage Collection for me.
Great list. No arguments from me. But here’s my Top 5: 1: Death Watch Mandalorian 2: Death Watch Airborne Trooper 3: Boba Fett ROTJ 4: Bo Katan Kryze 5: Super Commando
Maybe it’s just me but that “Battle Damaged Mando” (VC177) looks really great on my shelf. The black scuffs look like deep reflections and really make the armor pop. At least on mine.

I actually really enjoyed VC Axe Woves with the removable helmet to me that makes it a bit more screen accurate. Let's face it none of there heads pop off during the show. Unless it's cut off by a light sabor..
Deathwatch Mando is one of my favorite figures. Just something about him. As for the prototype Boba and where to display him.. I have him displayed with my Ralph Macquarie concept art figures. He looks cool on the shelf with that group.

Hi Bossk. I realize that you've ranked VC figures here; however I just wanted to remind you of the carbonized VC Mandos alongside older Mandos including the STAR WARS REPUBLIC ELITE FORCES MANDALORIANS { for e.g. B'ARIN APMA and ISABET REAU} (Box#7) along with other Legacy figures such as Llats Ward. When added to our current VC lineup, they certainly add some diversity to our playsets, etc. Thanks and tc.
The best one hands down for me is the Maldo Kreis set. Even though it was unfair for this list. I was able to make my home made Mandalorian board game because of this set. The four games follow the episode the "Passenger". Has a collect game, escape game, expel game, and repair game. It's two to four players being Djinn, Grogu, The frog lady (that I made), and an X-wing pilot for the to be the fourth. The spiders and spider egg help to add a third dimension to the board game and add as checkpoints and boss in the escape game.
Interesting picks! My main difference would be number one pick as deluxe BOBF Boba because I prefer the look of that costume more and the jetpack is better
