Gonna be so nifty!! FYI: Standard height for fan over cooktop is 24-30”. ( No fried nipples and can see whats in your pots!) 🙌🏼😘

A spice rack will go well there on the left-hand wall. you might also be able to hang ladles and such on hooks mounted under the spice rack on the wall! Great job Mike!

Hi Mike you have worked so hard on the kitchen. And the cabinets look really pretty. The carport comes in handy for you and the girls. That laser level is so neat never seen one before. A pull out spice cabinet would work great in that corner.
Open shelves in cedar or a slideout spice rack in the small open wall space would look good. Depends upon what you need.

What about spring flower bulbs to plant in the dirt area? Yes grass too, but in spring the low flowering colors would be so pretty before grass grows high enough to cut, and by then the flowering spung bulbs are done.

I think the girls take turns watching over you🥰. Moving right along and making progress in the kitchen. It's going to feel like a whole new kitchen and way more user friendly. It's going to look Beautiful, it already does. I wondered about the height of your vent. Don't want any fried nips in the new kitchen 😂. I measured my vent to the surface of the stove, it's 26". My Dad's is close to 36" but his is all big and fancy with extra do-dads.

I'll agree,handmade is better than store bought for cabinets. I used to clean a 3 story mansion of a home,the kitchen cabinets were cheap! Cheap made,but probably not cheap priced.
I did my lawn yesterday, it’s not so big , but I’m old and only have a push mower.

Love the cedar. Wondering isn't the vent hood to low? I think I would have raised that cabinet to the ceiling. You could put shelves on left that are corner also attach to cabinet. Definitely good for spices, oils, Get jars for your spices. Kitchen going to look cool.

What about putting a couple of long boards on the wall on the light line.. to set the shelf on to help hold it up?

you could repurpose some of the lumber for handles for the fraimly to use to make cardboard signs to use on street corners to earn/beg for money.

Putting a ledger board would help hold it up. then remove after cabinet is installed. Too late I guess to tell you.

Perhaps a board on the wall first to set the cabinet on would have helped????? Maybe??? Does it matter that the vent is covered?

Mike, a question
Why is it on some channels there is no “captions “.
If I ask the channel to put them on they say they are on but for me they are not.
If a channel blocks you would I know it?
Would that be the reason I can’t see the “captions?”
They dont take the time to figure out the real way to do captions
I have a mild hearing loss. Depending on the channel and the “accents” of the person talking it could make it difficult to understand the words spoken.
Even in real life the same issue can be present.
That’s why I ask for the “captions.”
