Cactus Joe should be deemed a national treasure. I hope I have the pleasure of visiting this nursery, and spending some time with this lovely man. How fortunate you were!
I forgot how awesome this place is! Made plans to go back there but weather was not always on my side. I guess there is rhyme and reason to everything that happens. 😉
All the cactus is so cool looking! I live in Singapore 🇸🇬 so I went to Gardens By The Bay before .I saw some cactus taller than me. I have a mini cactus 🌵 at home! Its name is Little Spike! Love this video!
Such an amazing tour! Thank you to Cactus Joe for the behind the scenes tour and sharing his story. Bless you for taking us along with you on this adventure...so much fun!🌹
Seven acres??!! Wow!! I don’t live in an area that those beautiful cacti would tolerate but I would love to go there just to look and maybe buy some of those great planters!
Omg, I’m sooo excited to see this! I had the pleasure of living in Vegas for about 2 years and cactus Joe’s has always been one of my favorites. When I come to see family I always make a trip to Joe’s!
WOW what an INCREDIBLE video Ana :-D Cactus Joe's Nursery is AMAZING and Joe is such a wonderful guy too, what a dream it must have been to meet Joe and visit his incredible nursery, oh my golly, so many STUNNING HUGE Cacti and Succulents, I want them all haha, and the greenhouses are MASSIVE, what a fantastic nursery, thanks so much for sharing your incredible visit and we are so looking forward to watching Part Two
Ive watched sooo many nursery tours, but i enjoy yours the most. You just bubble the expereance. You got a great selection from cactus Joe. Id love to visit, but the long drive could get expansive from NY. Ya could fly, but id want to bring home some pointy babies. Knowing me they would be big ones. I tip my hat to you and cactus Joe.
Thanks for a great video, Ana. I am aware of your struggles to deal with your weather changes, but look how lucky you are to just take a casual trip to see such a great facility. Thanks for taking me along.
Enjoyed this video, such an expanse of a place to explore...the end of your video with you on screen was very lovely, yours and Cactus Joe's exchange of words to each other was very sweet 🤗🌵🌞 look forward to part 2!
Thanks for the tour Ana!!! Looks like my kind of place!!! If I lived that close to him , I don't think I could stay away for 3 years!!! Hahaha!!! You have great control!!! Hahaha!!! Echinocactus polycephalus are one of my very favorites from the Mojave in California!!! Those are really nice plants!!! Been a long time since I've seen Echinocactus polycephaus & Echinocereus engelmanii that large!!! A lot of very nice plants there!!! Thanks so much for the tour!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌💖🌵🏵🌴🌺🪴🌹🌲🌷🌳😃👍
I always made plans to go back there but something always stops me. Weather, the lockdown, unexpected events. I guess fate wanted me to meet Mr. Cactus Joe. 😉 When I go back, I have my eye set on an Echinocactus polycephalus, maybe even an Agave. I should start planting these native plants in my yard. Would be easier to maintain as they are “at home”. 😁 Thanks Clyde! Come to Vegas and I’ll take you here.
Fantastic video, Ana. Was looking forward to this one. What a lovely guy Joe is, and what an amazing nursery, absolutely spectacular plants. Really looking forward to seeing part 2. Thank you for sharing this awesome video with us Ana, and to Joe for his time. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜☕️
That is such an awesome place and Mr. Cactus Joe is such a blessing in this plant community too. I wish we could visit places like that where cacti are endemic. Excited for Part 2! 🥳🌼🌸🌺🌵💚
Wow, what a nursery!🤩👏👏👏 You're lucky to meet Mr. Cactus Joe, how kind he is! Amazing specimens to admire and to purchase. I can't even imagine being there in person... Looking forward to see part 2, thank you Ana for sharing your adventures 😃💞.
Is there a M. wrightii in your intro? M. Wrightii is one of my favorite cactus because of the flowers and tasty berries! Purple flowers with small hooks on the right bottom of your intro screen. I love your videos and my son does too! We watch all of your videos and all of the cactus videos on you tube.
WOW! I think that was heavenly to be given a tour- loved all the beautiful cacti in those greenhouses. Such a wonderful video. I love cacti but I only have a few small ones that I keep in my home.
Wow!!! Amazing, I'm speechless, Ana. Sguro hindi ko na alam ang bibilhin ko sa dami, just mention a budget for these haha. Thnks for sharing your ideas and experiences, tc!
Great video Ana. Unbelievable! I will share it with friends of my group in Italy (I know you'll let me, right? 😊). I can't wait to see the second part 🌵🌵🌵
Hmm… Are you near Ely? I saw Opuntias growing up in the mountains of Ely. You can grow these but you need to be able to protect them from snow/freeze. 😃🌵👍🏼
Great video and wow! I just saw some cactus that i never saw in my life in this nursery haha. May i ask u, if i can water my cacti and haworthias this way: i put some water in a large container, then i put on it my cactus and succulents pots until they absorb the water they need? And is it safe to do that in winter?
You can water them that way but be careful if it is winter time. The soil will absorb too much water which will not dry out fast due to the cold temperatures. Cacti are usually dormant in winter so you don’t want them to get soaked when they are resting.
Hi, do you have any cactus, agave, yucca, euphorbia, etc (other than opuntia) that originated in a high mountain top or any place that is cold? I used to have an extensive collection of cacti, but I had to get rid of them when I moved. I now live in a zone 5 environment and I'd really like to get a couple, if there is such a thing as a cold hardy cactus. Any lead or recommendation would be appreciated. I have a few opuntia but they dry up and lay flat on the ground every winter and just look so ugly until the following late spring. Then they quickly plump up, flower and look good, until fall. I'd really like to find some other type of cold-hardy cactus. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Cylindropuntia are also cold-hardy. Agave utahensis, some will be shown in my part 2 video. I suggest that you check out the channel of Morris Park in the Ozarks. Clyde Morris lives in Missouri and some of his plants get buried in snow. 😉
Cactus Joe should be deemed a national treasure. I hope I have the pleasure of visiting this nursery, and spending some time with this lovely man. How fortunate you were!

@@CactusCaffeine I live in Reno, Nevada. I’m always on the hunt for cactus that will take our cold!
