I haven't been detecting for years. 4500 is my favourite detector. I am not technically minded at all. Is it possible nowadays to set up a 4500 with a wireless Bluetooth speaker as opposed to wearing headphones ?

In your opinion, on the GOX6000 does the dongle on the 14” DD coil differ from the 11” mono? What I’m asking is, does the dongle identify the type of coil or is it simply a turn on hand shake?
It may identify the coil to the detector, but if I owned one I would cut the dongle out from the coil and mount it inside the detector, I would also change the coil connector to use standard coils. But that is just me.
Thanks for the reply Woody, yes, I saw that video where you suggested that. The reason I asked (if the dongle verifies the coil type to the machine) was because I don't intend to use my 14" DD and want to raid the dongle out of it. And use 5000 coils on the GPX 6000
I do not know if the dongle specifies the coil type, that sound’s unlikely, most likely it only handshakes to say I’m a Minelab coil. Coiltek and nugget finder make after market coils so maybe you can ask them but I have no clue if they will pass out the required information. Once upon a time I had an encoded car radio to repair, it was a Fujitsu 10 brand, I tried to get the code and they refused, but after some examination I found two solder pads next to each other, one had code output, the other went back into microprocessor, I soldered the two together and the radio worked fine, possibly there is something in these detectors like the same..lol most likely not but maybe some smart Russian can get around the code.😂

Hello. I have a gpx 4500. When the coil is connected to the device, the sound of the device becomes weak and it no longer has the sense of metal, but when the coil is not installed, the device is normal. Can you help me to fix the problem
Replace the two mosfets 2SK1334 on the bottom of the circuit board near the coil wires, look at my previous video on how to do this, also replace BC857 between ADG333 and mosfets gate connections, discharge the 15 volt rail or it will blow up again.
Hi dear friend. GPX 5000 is assembled in which country? Is it still malaysia montage?
My best guess is that there was some manufacturing in Malaysia but all done in China now.
Love my 4500. Looks like I could love it even more. And since I have a 7000, also, I'm looking forward to the comparison. Thanks for doing these videos.
The side by side is an eye opener, i have done previous 4500 7000 comparisons some years back, the videos are there somewhere on youtube.
Wow im planning to purchase a detector as im new and have not detect before still doing homework to see which 1 i like but after seeing ur videos im not sure if i should purchase a new 1 sounds like im better of getting a second hand 1 and get it mod
At detectormods we have been modding detectors for around 40 years, modded detectors do find more as they can be adapted for different situations.

Create a video tutorial on minimal changes to improve stability on the GDX 8000 system. Many friends need corrections in this system to make it a little better. It is not possible to use higher than RX GAIN 2. I would be grateful if you could tell me the solution to this problem
