Hey guys! It’s been a while since our last video, but we are back stronger than ever! 😃 We have lots of great content coming up. Thanks for your support as always! Big hugs
Hi Both. We met sometime ago (Aug / Sept )while we were staying at the Savoy Palace. I told you it was because of you we visited Madeira and that we hoped to build a house here. Well we found an unbelievable plot and are going ahead to build our dream home. I’d like to share what we’ve bought and the house we intend to build here. It’s actually 150 mtrs up the cliff above your favourite waterfall.
Hi Russ! We remember you guys! So happy to hear you found your dream plot. Also kind of jealous as that area is what we want! :D Anyway, send me a message on Instagram @stayclassydk or hey@stayclassy.dk - we would love to see the house and plot! Good luck!
Madeira is my dream. There is something so magical about the sea there. I would love to have a sea view apartment above the sea pools at Doca do Cavacas. My favorite place on earth...
I m so glad to see your video. Im from Madeira, from Funchal. I love this beautiful place where I had the honour of being born. And Im so happy to see the loving way you talk about this island, hope you can realize your dream to buy a land and build a house.
You two have me in hysterics, especially after my two glasses of prosecco. I have a policy of not drinking alone. But, after months of being a plague hermit and working a zillion hours per week, something has to give! I have a gypsy heart and have done my share of travelling in my years, keep on dreaming and Stay Classy. I love your banter (couple dynamic) and your cultural references -- despite your age difference from me (I'm a young-minded middle age energetic type). I especially love your funky music selection -- coming from a dancin' fiend. You're both young old souls. Thank you and keep on dreamin'.
That geologioc place is caled "Fajã". "Fajãs are created from collapsing cliffs or lava flows and are identifiable along the coast as "flat" surfaces (relative to the other geology). Tides and tidal currents are minor influencers of the coastal morphology, and therefore, sedimentation and deposits became permanent. Composed of fertile soils, these microclimates allow the cultivation of a variety of staple and exotic plants, such as coffee.
Maybe the magic of Paul do Mar is not being one of the most popular, full of bars and restaurants . Its has its own magic .. Don't try and transform it. :)
As a madeiran, go ahead and please make your public projects happen, they sound great and we need people like you to invest in out little island and bring it up to date.
Hi Classy Couple - I've missed your videos. So happy to see you back. Def, you need to build your dream home. Amelia - you did a beautiful job designing it. Enjoy
I loved her design! Danish Minimalism... with maximum exposure, to the reasons for living there! Is my favorite ballerina, an architect too? I may have to commission her, one day!
Just my opinion: I would build my beach bar in Ponta do Sol or Ponta do Pargo instead of Seixal. In Madeira the difference from North and South is dramatic,in Seixal it rains a lot.Ponta do Sol it's name says it all. Keep it up with your amazing videos
I know, but it would be a different kind of beach bar. It would be based on the weather, but the beauty. And on cold days there would be heaters and roof over your head! :) But as Amalie says, she wants to build 4 beach bars and Ponta do Sol is one of the places! :)
Some breath-taking footage guys! My favourites were @ 15:45 & around 16:45. Your skills just get better and better with that drone! Glad to see you back! Cheers ~
My family is from Madeira, we go there every 2 years, we were going in august but since the pandemic hit we decided to wait. Hopin 2021 is better year for us to go, your vlogs have honestly helped me not miss it because i feel like i am there when I’m watching these vlogs. Keep it up guys
Great video, guys! Finally you’re back! I missed your videos! Dream if I had money, i would buy a land like Joen said, and built an house total sustainable, and that kind of things. Where? In my island, São Miguel. 😃😃
I was there one year ago about this time of year and we only had one storm day and a few cool nights but otherwide it was T shirt and shorts weather almost every day but one. Nice to see you guys back on utube.
Money would ruin Madeira. Keep it as is...but the only thing I would do is convert every pool with an ocean view to an infinity pool (if it weren't one already)...but even that may ruin Maderia's charm!
It would be so nice to see you make your wonderful dreams come true! Madeira is an extraordinary place characterized by its magical beauty. I wish that you can set up a nice life in Madeira. And I would definitely visit your bistro / hotel. I hope I can visit Madeira again next year.
Paul do Mar has indeed a lot of potential, it is also super warm with a lot of sunshine:). I can tell you, you experienced some of the "worst" weather, but here in Lisbon has been even worse. The south and southwest coast of Madeira has less rain than Lisbon and fewer rainy days on average. Few people realize how diverse the landscapes are in Madeira as well as the very good weather (especially in winter when continental europe is a lot cooler), with a lot of micro climates for almost any taste.
Hi classy couple! It has been a long time since I commented., loved your video I am from Madeira and it happens that my husband and myself are loving more and more Madeira because of you two. Your dream is great and if one day you move to Madeira I would love to visit you I am buying a place in Madeira soon, just for vacation however if you still don't have a place there you can use mine whenever you are vacationing in Madeira. Xoxo
Well, I was long ago sold on-this escape from reality-known as Madeira. Just need to see it in person! When travel opens up again. Your Vlog, brings me closer! Like in Malibu-and as that boulder reminded you-the lower parts were once the taller parts! I love the drama of a more turbulent seascape. Makes you feel your vulnerability, to Mother Ocean! As an old surfer, I could see where the break comes in, from one of your aerial shots! Your beautiful videos, as always, are as seductive as Amalie. If I were a dog... I would be as envious of Lara’s lifestyle (almost as much) as I am of yours! Enjoy each other, and the freedom you now have! Children, and a business, are satisfying! But are forever life changing, and in so many ways! Once again, hearing Amalie, cuss out Joen, in Danish! It always makes me love her more! Joen, count your blessings! You are far richer than you may know! Question: Are French fries the national dish of Portugal? Your videos are so carboholic! Oh well! Eat, Drink... and be merry! Again, love your videos, and both of you! I’m happy, you took some time to dream! Cerebrate Madeira! And, most of all... to love and enjoy each other! ❤️👍
Amalie &Joen, finaly back and what a great video!Exactly what we needed ,some SUNSHINE in this dark and cold December. Obrigados Maaaboyz e até Lego. 🍾🥂.
I just want to ask if you guys realize that you manifested your dream house down to the location that Joen mentions in the video in Tabua with nearly the exact same design, same orientation and position to the neighbours as Amalie designed in her layout in less than 2 years. That is mind-blowing! By the way, hello from Madeira! Yes, you got me here too and I love it!
Haha, I get your point but there actually is a beach _ black sand beach and it quite beautiful 🤩 and it’s often lovely weather in Seixal. We are just visiting over winter 😅
Dream to have a little villa with huge land and an astonishing sea view. Constantly checking the websites for affordable lands for start...will not give up. :) Thank you for sharing your dream and keep doing it. ;)
Great Video, beautiful Scenery after the storms and rain, everywhere is sooo green, you should really try to get to Porto Santo for a day or two also, not the perfect time to go, but if you get a couple of nice days will be great. 😊
I was wondering where you guys went and it’s good to have you back. Madeira is magical, I long to see it in the near future. Thanks for showing us what that side of the world looks like.

If you want to have a house for free or almost free, you make a loan to build 2 houses, you keep one for you and the other you sell other them pay the loan
Hi guys, sounds a bit like me when I was on Madeira for my first couple of times. I don't know whether you know about the things I am going to tell you here, probably you do, but some of the things you mention are really bad ideas. Paul do Mar is magical because it is like it is. It has the best two bars on the island, that are filled with people when there is nice weather. No need for new bars. Also, if there were more bars, it would be too loud and too crowded and would loose all its charm. And also, Madeira does not have the party tourists and will never have for several reasons, so new bars would also not be able to really make money. Sorry to say but in this case I am glad you do not have the money to change my favorite place on the planet. The other thing is more important though. When buying land on Madeira, try not to buy directly on the coastline, except for places like Paul where it is flat. The reason is that all the houses down there on these cliffs get destroyed every year by the storms (that actually do hit the island a couple of times a year - this year it was too much rain everywhere, but I have seen similar storms 5 times in the last 5 years). I know some of the houses down there in Ponta do Sol area that are so beautiful, but the pool gets flushed away in the ocean on a regular. Not so fun :) and expensive! This is also the reason the harbour in Lugar do Baixo was never built, and they have started rebuilding it several times. Seixal definitely needs an additional bar! The one you showed actually is very nice, during summer. Looks actually very similar to the pictures you showed when it is warmer. Right now on the island it's like everywhere on the beach in winter, except for tropical places. Some local friends, that have one of the best theme bars on the south coast, actually were thinking of opening up a second bar in Seixal. I hope they do :) Good luck and I am sure you will find the perfact spot. I found mine after 3 years.
98% is roughly *less* than 45 degrees. Welcome back! I would buy a tricycle chopper😎 to ride on the amazing roads in Paúl da Serra downwards to the ocean.
Guys let me first thank you guys for such amazing content with your videos, I happened to find out your channel about moving Portugal specialty Lisbon, My wife and I are planning to move as well , I do have a question from most of your videos I haven’t seen any neighbourhoods with sea view or beach front , do you thinks you can make video for the area in Lisbon with ocean view living properties
I really love your Madeira videos, among your suggestions I could not find any about program for editing videos, I have been using with IMovie but I don’t find it user’s friendly .. (my opinion) can I ask you which one you are using ? Thanks so much
One thing is to live in the lap of luxury with hotels and houses paid for; another is to have to work like most people on the island to pay for rent, utilities and food. Madeira is not a job-rich place as evidenced by the mass emigration of locals to such climes as Venezuela and the English Channel Islands. Visitors to places like Madeira are often entranced by the beauty and think, "wouldn't it be great to live here?". But, there is no paradise. In my case, since I like to travel, and not be stuck in one place, and rarely go back to the same place (no time sharing for me) Madeira and the Azores wouldn't be a good idea. First, you have the problem of living on a small island. After visiting every place you can think of, which would take about two weeks, what do you do? Secondly, you have the problem of deforestation that has caused catastrophic flooding and deadly forest fires. This will only get worse as there are too many people for such a small place. Then, you have the problem of being dependent on airlines to get out, and flights can often be cancelled due to inclement weather, which is quite common in Madeira. When the storms arrive planes don't fly. Having said all this, Madeira is a beautiful place and one I would like to return to, once this pandemic allows us to fly again.
hi, i wanna know some things about toy poodles. Can they stay alone 4 hours ? Do they bark a lot(i live in a apartament so it would be bad)? Do they sheed ? And if you know a dog breed that can be alone for 4 hours or more, doesent bark and doesent sheed much..can you tell me ? i love you and your dog hope your good and safe.
Love the vids. About to retire and want to buy a house in Portugal to live there during the Winters here in the US. What kind of home can 500,000 USD buy in the Azores? Also thinking about renting instead and live in different islands during the winters here. Favorite island would be Terceira as that's where I was born but as a golfer the Algarve is also interesting. Any advice?
A pretty good home for sure. It would be more expensive in Madeira or the Algarve but you can also find good deals. Lisbon is prohibitive in terms of estate prices. I don't think renting would be practical.
Very cute dog , congrats , 1 question, you sure it’s a toy poodle type ? It looks more like a miniture poodle which is slightly bigger than toy poodle?

Thought you guys fell in a levada never to be seen again... Welcome back!
For Tourist project you need partners, one to finance it, another to build and you guys make decoration and promotion/sales
And with money that is easily done! :D
@@joenandamalie if you have to wait to get money to have the things you need, you will get old and have nothing
Another great video!
It would be awesome to have a collab with Jackson Groves, he has been doing amazing videos in Madeira too!
We are already talking with him. We were so supposed to make a video yesterday, but it got postponed.
@@joenandamalie awesome!
Have you ever been to Machico? an east Madeira city
MMGA, let’s make Madeira great again!
Happy new year....
If you are a golfer, you must choose the Algarve. The Algarve has been elected since a long time as the best place on earth for golfers
Lindo Até logo Amelia💗💛
Very cute dog , congrats , 1 question, you sure it’s a toy poodle type ? It looks more like a miniture poodle which is slightly bigger than toy poodle?
Are you staying in Madeira until the new year réveillon?
Amalie cursing in danish......this video gets 10 stars
You're playing the most Portuguese game "If I would win Euromilhões" we make the same game here at home 😂😂😂
