The lie was about : the lunch , back on the days when people lived in mountains and the wife’s send the lunch rapped in banana leaves... and the acorda from the levadas... hahaha

wow the island with almost no tourist looks very enjoyable, i guess it is a pity for madeira economy... but just imagine the dangerous trail with a lot of people in both directions

What a great video, my favourite one so far. It featured all my best loved places on Madeira, Seixal, Paul da Serra, Porto Moniz....the stunning North West. Beautifully filmed, we couldn't make it at Christmas but this was the next best thing ! Thank you 😍
Great vid. You should take us on a CR7 deep dive tour of the island. Maybe do a video on how Madeira and Hawaii are linked through the Portuguese. How the cavaquinho became the ukele. See if you find malasadas on Madeira.

That’s where I live (well my parents live)!!Working in UK now but always walk that ‘levada’ when I’m back on holidays. That trail didn’t had handrails back on the days and was much more dangerous. Pretty safe ish now. Lovely vlog 🙂

If you'll ever need to buy yourselves some great madeiran meat to your "espetadas" i really recommend a visit to "Talho o caçador". (it is a butchershop and it means "the hunter"). If you go there say hi to mr. José. He is a friendly guy with a mustache. The shop is located near Mercado dos Lavradores, just in front of the "praça do peixe" (the fish market).

Nice footage! 😎 This Island is a trully paradise, but after a while you need to take a flight to some other place, otherwise you' ll feel trapped. It's not a small Island, but it's not that big too. Take real care using the eletric skate in the road: as you said, it's kind of dangerous.👍

Would love a video Madeira vs Bali! I was in bali only for a week, not enough time to understand the culture and compare. I did feel though Kuta beach for example was VERY touristy & party culture.

Very beautiful video. Yes it’s called the Hawaii of Europe. I envy your upper class lifestyle. LOL. I think though I would get very bored being there long term. It’s beautiful to see.
Great island/place/people. Lived there for a few years. The only issue I had with it was it got claustrophic after a while. Almost no flat land there. I wouldn't recommend it for people who have knee issues. All those inclines and hills. Amazing scenery though. Amalie, Madeira doesn't really have proper beaches so it won't turn into the new Bali. Thank god for that.
