Love this! Exactly what I’ve been doing. Thanks for the info. Been practicing slowly with Pataflaflas and seeing results.
Deep thoughts with Bill... LOL I would love to watch that series!
Great advice! Cant believe I didnt think of this, I'm gonna work on flam taps and accents before I start. Thanks again Bill!
Great tips Bill.. Thank you!
I'll give everyone a tip for warming up. Go to a sink and run warm water and stick your hands and arm in the water for a few minutes. Make sure it's good and warm. It is amazing at getting your muscles and grip just right. It's great for guitars, and piano players too. I do studio work. And, I'm not kidding when i say is the best way to get your hands ready to play. Try it.
amazing percussionist, his pinkies just kill me tho
+Easton Guinn Thanks for the compliment. As for the pinkies, how does it sound? Some guys who adhere to the "all 4 fingers on the stick at all times" rule end up sounding somewhat stiff for life. There's a time to pinkie, and a time not to pinkie if you ask me.
+Bill Bachman I would definitely agree. I wasn't trying to sound critical at all. you are a great percussionist and one of the best quad players I've ever seen. it all depends on different styles and how you get your velocity
Noice
Back from the grave huh?
