I was in Australia for 3.5 years, it definitely has it's pros and cons. I just left and returned to the UK. Glad to be back with family, but I miss parts of Australia, it's a shame about the distance from Eu to Aus. The truth is, no country is perfect, and all western nations are struggling post pandemic. Best to figure out what's more important to you. If it's history, the arts, beautiful architecture and free healthcare go with the UK. If it's warm climate, low crime, lots of space and high income basic wage, Australia is the way. I've never been to Canada...would like to visit but don't think I would move there permanently. Another place to consider would be the UAE.

Having lived in Canada for four years as an international student and I just watched your video about Australia and how frustrated you were when you were leaving towards Canada. I experienced every bad thing you said about Australia in Canada plus the weather and the higher living expenses ( I was laughing and was waiting to see how frustrated you will get to see Canada😂😂😂😂, after I found out you were going to Canada) Thank you for confirming that Canada is not a place to live permanently 🤦‍♂️I am sure you wished many times you did not come to Canada (from Australia)😅😅

I am from a healthcare background and will be moving to Ottawa soon (in just 1 week!) to pursue my masters. Based on my research so far I think Ottawa might be a good fit for me. I love watching your content since you cover the good, the bad and the ugly! Videos like these help me take off my rose coloured glasses lol and get a more realistic view of what to expect. Like you mentioned the winter is brutal and I have heard a lot of people complain about that but a couple of people I have spoken to really enjoyed it. So it’s a very subjective opinion I feel, but majority do seem to dislike it. Coming from Mumbai, having never experienced a winter per say, I am really excited to experience it tbh!

Please review the 35 prioritized health occupations announced by IRCC in 2023. Most health occupations require provincial license. Great video!! I'm a Canadian living in New Zealand and it's really interesting to hear about your experience. I'm originally from Ottawa and 100% agree with you that Toronto is dirty, smelly and unsafe. In my opinion, it's Canada's worst city and a total shithole. I don't know why so many immigrants still choose Toronto when they move here. Montreal, Ottawa, Guelph, Halifax, Quebec city - all better options if you want to be eastern.
The winters are definitely brutal and we struggle to get through it every year too (unless you're in BC). It gets down to -45 where I live in Calgary. That's the biggest detractor to living in Canada for sure. If you can acclimatise to the harsh winters, Calgary is the best! Vancouver is the nicest city in Canada though and it earns how expensive it is. Victoria would be an amazing place to live too. Canada is so massive and there's so many options!
One thing I know for sure is that I would never return to Ontario. The tax rate is almost triple what it is in Alberta (13% vs 5%) and the jobs pay less. I wish Canada would get rid of tipping culture too, I absolutely hate it.

Oh and I forgot to add that you should be able to go into any walk-in clinic to see a doctor. I haven't had a family doctor in Canada since I was a little kid. I always go to the same doctor at a walk-in clinic and it's the quickest and easiest way to get medical care. Not sure how busy walk-ins are in the GTA though but it's worth a shot if you need a doctor!

When Trudeau government took office in 2015, Canadian population was 35.7 million. It is 40 million today, an increase of 4.3 million people in 8 years.
