It always angers me when victims don't survive, but a drunk driver does. Edit: I'm not sure how or why that sentence is being misinterpreted. I'd ideally prefer no one dying and the drunk driver learning their lesson, then turning their life around. What I'm saying is, in the situations where someone _does_ die, I rather it be the drunk driver. Others shouldn't pay because of someone else's stupid decision. Unfortunately, that isn't how this usually turns out. Gianna is out on bail now. People like her that don't learn their lesson and don't care shouldn't be allowed in the general public.
My uncle was killed by a drunk driver. The driver got 6 months in prison then was released. Nothing infuriated me more than people thinking it’s cool or even okay to drive under the influence. There is absolutely NOTHING that is important enough to risk killing someone over. Dare I say, I wish the drunk drivers were the ones killed each time. Keep them from hurting anyone else.
I can’t express my happiness that the woman who fell from a 7 story building lived with minor injuries. Just the way she was hanging off the window sill looked like something only possible in movies, she must have be incredibly strong, both mentally & physically. I hope she gets justice for what happened to her ❤
Hanging actually takes no physical strength. Not to take away from the woman, but anyone can grab on to something and hang, the average hang time for adults is 10 minutes. If you have decent shoulders you can hang for about 30 minutes to an hour.
@@Unchainedful Hold on, you ultimate beastmaster. Pretty sure you pulled that out of yourass to inflate your ego. No, ten minutes dead hang is far, far from average.
@@Unchainedful you're wrong, hanging to something doens't require only shoulders, it requires a lot of other muscles which 95% of the times are untrained. Unless you train hanging to something everyday for long periods of time, you wont last a minute in a situtation like this.
That last story makes me think that the entire village was likely involved in trafficking and because of that the government thought it needed to be covered up. So horrible.
"instead of helping the people held captive and arresting the traffickers lets just cover it all up and let it keep happening instead because its ruins our image" China moment
Yip China should never have been allowed to host the Olympics and just shows the type of disgusting useless individuals that Govern the Olympics , I wonder how much the back hander was , to allow China to host it , nothing is safe from corruption
The second part of the Luo story where her ashes were stolen infuriated me SO MUCH. Luo was already having a difficult time when she was alive, so why can't people just let her rest peacefully once and for all? Some people are so...
@@thanatosyt9894 Your words aren't true at all. In the majority of Asian cultures, burials are a HUGE thing. Desecration of graves or ashes or kidnapping of ashes are treates as a sin in China. The dissapearance of Luo's ashes was big news in China, a lot of Chinese people volunteered to find any crumb of information to take Luo's ashes back to her family.
Glad that there's a happy ending for that woman who fell from the 7 story building. Actually thought she wouldn't make it. Sucks that her boss didn't get life imprisonment; human trafficking and attempted murder should be a big no no
It's a choice to think so little of another human being that someone would traffic them. It should horrify us to even think of letting hatred grow inside us like that.
The woman filming only got prison because she was filming her slave without her consent. The whole keeping foreigners as slave and treating them like object is basically legal there.
It's nothing new. It's odd but when there is a person who actually needs help those who would help usually happen to not be even close and majority of people are pieces of shit.
It's worse when you realise how many times this has happened. Someone goes on stream with obvious intent to harm themselves, and the chat encourages them, claiming that the person is "faking it". No one should have to prove their depression or suicidal thoughts by harming themselves. Fuck every chat member in that stream who encouraged her to drink, or mocked her.
Disgusting how the Chinese authorities covered up the last case, and even punished those who attempted to report on it, simply for the sake of their image
Eh the narrative about the woman’s identity isn’t accurate in this vid. It’s the narrative by the Chinese government. If you actually research it, it will be very clear that Xiao Huamei isn’t her real identity as the timelines and ages don’t match up and also bc Xiao Huamei doesn’t even look like the woman
The last stories are absolutely heart breaking. The fact that these things go on in 2022 is beyond imaginable to me. I hope everyone who is suffering a fate like that gets helped. Thank you for reporting on these things.
@@_gorillazfreakinc._2 It is true though that humanity really isn’t that great. I’d give us a 2/10 and only because some species were saved. (While many get rotten out, so…) I don’t think it’s that bad to just criticise humanity, you also can’t be overly positive without ignoring issues. So there was no need for your aggression in your comment there. Let opinions exist, man.
All of these stories are heartbreaking but the last one is horrible it just proves that people can create an innocent persona online but be a horrible person in actual fact something that makes it just that much disturbing is the fact the children were so desensitised to it and the way authorities tried to cover it up.
The first story hit me very hard. I had a buddy who was the cops in the story. Drunk driver struck him from behind as he was helping another crashed vehicle. He had just become a cop and that's all he talked about while on our deployment overseas together. RIP I miss you man
So sorry for your loss. I live about 10-15 mins away from where it happened. I didn't know any of the officers, but whenever an officer dies, I get upset. This case made me angry, sad, and frustrated all at the same time.
I got pulled over one time, trying to get to an area quick for Uber. There's a state law where you have to give a cop on the shoulder a full lane. Someone did not do this while I was talking to him, and was dangerously close to striking him. I guess a likely DUI>speeding ticket, so he let me go
My grandfather was killed by a drunk driver when my dad was a kid. This was in the time where women didn't really work too, it effected the family bad. Left my grandmother with no money and four kids. Also got conned out of the family business, because she just didn't know anything about that world. I could've grown up not super poor had that not happened
I'm so sorry. My dad was a Detroit cop for 30 years and had his leg nearly torn off getting hit (he was an accident cop most of the time he was on the force). Him getting hit, stabbed, and shot at gave me ptsd (among other things like our house getting shot up, car catching fire with me inside, so on), fearing he wouldn't make it home. He survived the job, but not without mental and physical scars. Covid took him in March 2020. Again, I'm so sorry you lost your friend, especially that way.
The amount of relief that came over me when I heard she survived that fall was literally moving. I'm so happy she's alive and I hope she can recover and live a wonderful life somewhere. The woman who filmed it however.... well, I won't say what I want to say on a public platform...
I’m so glad too lol, Ik this sounds racist but her being Ethiopian made it so much more personal to me since I’m Ethiopian and I had a maid as a child who would take care of our siblings whenever we went to Ethiopia, and she is the sweetest woman ever. I couldn’t help but imagine her in Adish’s place :’)
Oh my gosh - Officer Mack was from my town, he was a real stand up guy. I watched his entire funeral, and I cannot tell you how heartbreaking it was to watch his wife walk behind his casket holding her two small children's hands. Seeing the support from our little community, and from all the other state trooper barracks across the country was really heartwarming. It won't bring him or Officer Sisca back, but I sincerely hope that garbage bag of a woman rots in prison.
To make matters worse she’s out on bail and her next trial date isn’t until late 2023. She living it up. I don’t think she’ll do any time. Or real time for that matter.
When I got to the part about the child who talked about "feeding his mother," I assumed the mother was chronically ill or disabled and bedridden, not kept in a doghouse. That's fucked up to the highest degree.
@@appleseed4672 Religious people in the US do this to their children all the time. Curious if that Japanese man was Christian. If not, I wonder where his 'spare the rod' mentality came from?
The whole story with Luo is so heartbreaking, people can be so fucking evil, my heart is searing with hatred for the people who told her to go through with it and the people who stole her ashes afterwards
The fact that the man who had empathy and compassion for the trafficked woman was arrested is so telling. You can see the pain, disgust and disbelief on his face as he attempts to remove the chain and gives her a coat. The CCP is ruining china and I pray the people triumph over those despots.
I doubt it. The CCP has almost total control of the world's economy and their government. It pains me to say but I doubt anything will ever happen to overthrow them.
Considering it’s China, the CCP will either never fall within the next 100 years, or when it does it will be replaced by something somehow worse. The history of China is just an endless cycle of misery.
Clearing things up about story 2. She was not charged with attempted murder due to a lack of evidence. She was only charged with failing to assist Adesech and filming her without her consent. Her defence was that she didn't aid Adesech because she was worried about being dragged down and the video was recorded as proof she didn't push her out the window but the judge found her guilty anyways based on her callous attitude during the recording. Her sentence was not just "a few months" it was almost 2 years. Lastly Adesech returned to Ethiopia almost as soon as the hospital discharged her
@MLU8811 Just look up the case and you'll come across some stories describing the sentence as one year and 8 months. I can't share sources directly because UA-cam automatically deletes comments that link to external sites unless you are the uploader
I feel so bad for all of the innocent people who suffered, whether it be mentally or physically, and had their suffering documented. It's awful and nobody deserves any of that. Edit: as someone with epilepsy, if I was punished for every time I had a seizure I would go berserk, I feel so bad for the lady who was held captive
As soon as I heard the Arabic, I knew that the hanging woman was a maid being tortured. I grew up hearing about how badly they were treated in certain households, with their documents taken away, and little to no freedom of life. The early oughts were seriously bad for them. Again, not tarring the entire GCC with the same brush, but it was heard of frequently. I guess certain people still think getting a maid meant owning a whole life.
Honestly mostly not, a lot of them are but a huge number is treated right, i have had a maid who can freely leave if she wants to and she’s been working with us for 12 years, we love her and consider her a part of the family, she is ethiopian.
@Shampoo2004 Save the bullshit. Ethiopian maids are treated like animals in Arab countries. At least 2 die weekly in Lebanon alone from murder that is made to appear as a suicide. Arabs are the original colonizers/slave owners of Africans even before Europeans so your fairytale is a complete lie but I expect nothing less from colonizer/enslavers.
Thank you for bringing up this point. I was looking for a comment like yours, but I saw nothing besides yours. Africans are treated horribly in Arab countries and are murdered weekly. It's to the point that the Ethiopian government has informed its citizens to not go work in any Arab countries. Its horrible and not discussed nearly enough.
That bit about the girl being egged on to end her life REALLY boiled my blood Those sick individuals who attended the livestream and encouraged her to go through with it have her blood on their hands. They should be ashamed. This could’ve been prevented She also never should’ve returned to social media… she would probably still be here today had she stayed away for her mental health It’s ridiculously tragic
This is so sad and sickening to see that for their own enjoyment, to even not for a second think that a life is in trouble and needs emergency help and encouragement but instead heartless and no compassion at all to help a troubled soul… even knowing that she is going through rough times…atm personally ashamed to be human.. breaks the heart..after watching this, S/M can instantly turn against you ,especially with these ppl who call themselves human..and many young lives have been taken because of this, its a tragic
a story like that happened to a young girl in japan. some people from asian countries are so edgy and evil. it's highly concerning, their victims had been always people who's going through tough times and clueless livestreaming children, and when the news reaches the overseas, it just attracts more weird people
sadly the issue in the hanging woman situation is not only a employer employee relation issue but is also a race issue in the middle east especially in countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia where slavery is still a thing and you can find videos of black people being whipped and insulted while commenters from said countries are encouraging such acts and it is beyond disgusting side note: i am an Arab and a Muslim and although i'm not very religious i love and cherish my religion, my intentions are not to incite Islmophobia, this is not a religion issue it has to do with the bs laws and the racism in a lot of Arab countries, please do not mix up Arabs with Muslims.
Yep. Not just black people. Many women from different Asian countries are taken and used as slave maid workers also. The womens passports are confiscated by their arab 'owners' to ensure they can't flee the country and go back home.
really depend how you fall there story of people jumping off plane and surviving if you land on your leg in a specific way you can come out in a pretty good shape
The Adesech video never fails to utterly terrify me, even though she survived. The way she falls without making so much as a sound is just haunting to me in a way I really can't describe. One second she's there pleading for her life and the next, nothing
I don't there's any data but I believe you wouldn't scream. If you've ever woke from a falling dream it's usually with a sharp intake of breath. Also it's pointless. Anyway, I'm so glad she survived. Apparently she's gone straight back to Ethiopia to work for another family. Crazy.
I fell 20 feet in a rock climbing accident. Can confirm, I didn’t make a peep. It happened so fast I didn’t have time to scream. I shattered both heels and broke 2 vertebrae and even as I lay on my back the severity of what happened took what seemed like several minutes to kick in. I just remember thinking “wow, this is embarrassing. I hope nobody filmed this!” Then the pain started to grow and I thought “I’m supposed to fly to Ohio for work on Monday. I’m probably going to have to use a crutch, I think I may have twisted my ankle!” I even tried to get up but a guy ran over and told me not to move and to wait for the paramedics. Turns out, I spent 11 days in the hospital and 4 months in a wheelchair, followed by nearly a year of PT learning to walk again. I still laugh at my initial thought that I’d still be able to fly to Ohio for my business trip. 😂
Props that Shujou guy who went around and exposed all of this awful awful shit, I just can't understand why people would ever do anything like that to anyone else, it disgusts me.
One child policy meant many females would be aborted so the family would more or less have a male heir or a continuation to their family legacy as its seen via surname atleast This caused an uneven split where yknow too many males not enough women Not getting a wife and having kids is dishonourable but they can't get married Sooooooo blame the communist party of china

Canetti draws a parallel between ruling and paranoia."
Luo’s story regarding the chats reminds me of the experiment where they gave the test subjects the freedom to do whatever they want to a person and they start with small stuff like wet willies etc… but it gradually became more inhumane and brutal until they stopped it.
Rhythm Zero? Marina Abramović isn’t a very trust worthy person, and the ‘exhibit’ expriment has been largely discredited. Even though the things that happened in that experiment can be related to real life and common human behavior, it’s also highly suspected to be staged and many sources can confirm that. Not sure if you gonna read this, but I just want to thank you for mentioning the XuZhou chained woman incident. I’ve been following this incident on Chinese social media since it first caused the interest of the public. What shocked the people at first was not only the inhuman treatment this woman has suffered from, but also how the “influencers” on Kuai Shou (quite similar to Tik Tok) has been treating this whole incident. Many of them have been filming this family for quite long time, they also have donated clothes to them. However, even they’ve seen the father (Dong) rather throw and pile the clothes on the ground than give that to the woman, they chose to do nothing. Because they were donating the clothes just for good reputation which can help them to attract more followers, the suffering this woman has been through was actually nothing to them. People were shock by the indifference and ignorance. Especially for young women in China, seeing Chinese authorities using Eileen Gu as propaganda image for “Chinese woman” and knowing the horrible case in XuZhou at the same time. There’s a young female journalist who’s called “WuYi”, which is not her real name. She went to XuZhou since she didn’t trust the statement from the local government there, but no one has heard from her for a few months. I’ve been helping spreading the info about finding her and all my three social media accounts has been suspended for ten years. Now only few people are still following this case in China due to what it gonna cost. Besides, there’ve been worse incidents constantly happening inside this country. As someone who was born in China, I always have a heavy sense of powerlessness. But it made me feel a bit of relief for realising there’re people from the outside world noticing these things and raising other’s awareness. Thank you❤
The story of that young girl was heartbreaking. Truly, livestreaming can be a terrifying thing. At a very young age a buddy of mine witnessed a suicide through livestream and it messed him up. It’s scary to think we can document our own deaths live and the impact that it will have on the viewers.
thank you, SO MUCH, for covering the "father" story. this was like the only thing so many people on weibo cared about when it first came to light in Feb 2022. "woman in chains" was the hottest topic on weibo even when the site was deleting posts and accounts, and at the same time trying to boost the popularity of the topic/posts/news of Eileen Gu winning at the 2022 winter olympics in the same month. pretty much all of my friends on social media only cared about Eileen and averted their attention from the very real threat of trafficking right next to them... i felt like an outcast for being so angry about what was happening. the whole thing was so disgusting and i was very affected. many other similar stories of potential kidnaps and enslaving surfaced around the same time and it was just... so, so vile. i hated this happened and is most likely still happening in my country. i hated the govn is doing jack shit about it, even worse, prolly being involved balls deep. i hated i was chinese. what a dark time.
The Adesech story is one of the weirdest i have seen, not only miraculously she survived a huge fall with minor injuries but the fact the authorities gave such a minimum punishment to the woman recording her is just infurating
Because it is a quite common in certain countries, I believe it is called the Kafala system. A form of indentured servitude for immigrants where they make you sign a document and pretty much have you work for horrible wages and conditions and can threaten deportation or worse if you refuse.
Child brides experience this all the time. Funny thing, child brides under the age of 16 were finally outlawed in Idaho in 2018. Now, we just have to do something for the 16 and 17 year olds who are forced to marry and carry.
As someone who suffers from depression and mental illness and who is a recovering heroin addict. The story of the young woman who drank pesticide live on stream absolutely broke my heart. What the fuck is wrong with people man? Im glad youve been able to get sober, im a former xanax addict myself and withdrawl is one of the most grueling experiences in my opinion. Not only the physical symptoms, but the feeling of hopelessness and that youll never be able to acheive the level of happiness you felt while high. I had to get sober on my own because there are no good rehab centers near me, muchless ones that i could afford and the stigma around addicts preventing me from talking to someone else about it. Sobriety is a lifelong journey and should be treated as such, even after withdrawl completely dissipates. Hope life treats you well man
Im glad Adesech is alright.. poor lady didn't deserve any of this. It's a miracle she survived that fall and managed to tell the true story of what happened.
I was a pipefitter for years. The scariest parts of that job was climbing ladders and working in Fresh air only areas. Most refineries have barrels around fixed ladders, which is awesome for taller people, when you get tierd , need to adjust tools etc, you are supposed to put back firmly against barrel , extend legs to rungs , but dont lock knees, and do ya thing....my legs were not long enough! I basically had to non stop climb 24 ft than rest on the landing. (OSHA states that ladders can only be 24 ft than they have to have a landing) I sincerely hope that young lady passed out before she hit the ground.
Hey my husband is a Boilermaker, pipefitters are always tryna get him though😂 he's a welder, one of the best with all certs so they want him super bad lol. But I doubt she passed out if she was hitting all the poles on the way down unfortunately. But then maybe she was knocked out by one too

I honestly feel bad for lou. she had to go through her mental health and people kept saying rude things online. The people in the live didn’t do nothing to help her at all. I feel bad for the family and sad how they have to go through
"People kept saying rude things online" that's kind of how the internet works, there is no creator or user who doesn't get any bad comments, plus not to mention the double negative you just did, the only thing unnatural about her fame was the final livestream.
Dude. This guy is a literal chad. I'm saying this because in the suicide one, at the end of it the guy writes down numbers to call if you're having suicidal thoughts. The first story proves shitty people can do shitty things and survive but good people always get hurt just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Infuriating
Agreed friend, drunk drivers have to be amongst the most despicable people in this planet. They take the risk of killing people and families whenever they get behind a wheel. And brag about drinking and driving? That has to be a new low. The only person that should've died in the accident remained alive, and she'll possibly do it again and again. They never learn...

The last story about the trafficked women in those rural Chinese villages absolutely terrify me, and it’s heartbreaking to think the government tried to cover this up! Poor Xiao and Zhong… to think they were bought and abused just to be made into baby making machines…. That is pure hell
Sadly super common still in Asia, very old practice and was pretty much the norm pre-Revolution (listen to Fanshen audiobook here on youtube). Part of the dark underbelly of Chinese culture they don't want shared to the world, considering lots of Chinese are still backwards, village people who still engage in this sort of slave driving/debt slavery/trafficking behaviour.
The story of Adesech was brilliant. The fact she survived the fall and was able to get her employer arrested, But to get only a few months jail time for attempted murder is absurdity
Being Chinese myself, I feel saddened with Lou, we East Asian usually to this day still keep silent or see it as a taboo about mental and depression to ourselves as Asians in general don't take it serious and think it just "mumbo jumbo" or that people with depression or mental issues are seen as "Crazy", older generation (boomers) parents would just wave it away about their children having mental problem. Although the newer generation now accept mental issues is a big problem but still majority will mock people with depression and mental issues
I can't speak from a culturally Chinese or even East Asian perspective as I'm a westerner but it's fairly similar over here too. Such a shame. I'm currently seeking counseling for PTSD and MDD. People don't really take it seriously. Especially harmful is the lack of legitimacy that mental illnesses are regarded with as opposed to physical ailments because they're less outwardly visible and have a great deal of stigma surrounding them. Take one of the messages in the livestream chat for example; "prove that you really have depression in front of this many people." If people treated mental illness with the attention and urgency it demands, a lot more people might still be with us. Sympathy and understanding would help an already vulnerable population, yet sadly we often provide the exact opposite.
Glad that you cover the XuZhou chained woman incident. Cuz the issue around buying woman to be “the wife/mother” was a serious issues. My country (Viet Nam) also has a lot of chained human trafficking were most of woman in lower educated town was tricked/got kidnapped and got sold (which is mostly sold to Chinese person to be their “wife”). And a lot of documents about the life during the time the woman held captive and the life after they managed to escape. Which even when they came back, they still got back flash from other people in that areas cuz she is now “not sacred”. It’s a sad thing that happened for a long time for woman (and even children) from smaller countries that near the border. Despite many efforts, as long there are greedy people (both in China and Viet Nam) and people that want to buy human, and the Chinese goverment hidding it, this issue will still occured.
Yep, soon as I saw this knew exactly what practice it was, the book Fanshen goes into it quite a book, how this was pretty much the norm before the Revolution (Catholic church in China was heavily involved in trafficking girls as well). Lots of still backward ass villagers in China who cling to sociopathic, slave driving mentality.
That last story is so damn disturbing. I really hope both women mentioned are getting the care they deserve and that any other women in that situation are getting help. I can’t help but wonder, though; what happened to Dong’s children when he was arrested? We’re they given to another family in the village as a foster/adoption situation? Taken into custody? Whatever happened, I hope they’re doing well. I hope they can relearn how to treat people, women especially.
Apparently the douchebag who chained her up became some sort of wedding photographer??? No shit, like he was still a "celeb" after being exposed as a monster.
I hope too. But we know we cannot trust in humans like these. Those poor women are probably still being abused to this day. Nobody cares for mentally ill people.
The ghost marriage thing is also a thing here in France, kind of. If your partner happens to die between your engagement and wedding, if the family of the deceased agrees, the wedding can still be allowed to take place. No inheritance problems since inheritance isn't included in the marriage contract. So it's just a bittersweet tradition.

The story with the Ethiopian maid is awful and reminded me of my upbringing in the UAE. Housemaids are common there, everyone had one (Arab families, American, British… everyone…). People take advantage of them because the labour is SO cheap. Some have their passports withheld by their bosses and are physically/emotionally/verbally abused. Even the ones who aren’t abused have to work long hours for little pay, live away from their families in tiny rooms conjoined to the house of their boss. They’re often treated like dirt as if they are not people. Their boss determines when they go on holiday and they can literally be prevented from seeing their families. My family’s housemaid (we treated very well) had a newborn baby back in the Philippines but she had to work in the UAE to send money back 😔 We gave her paid time off but that is RARE. There’s many stories of abused housemaids that were ignored by the government because in countries like the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi etc they are seen as third class citizens and lesser than other people. The racism is ABHORRENT. Stuff like the abuse of the Ethiopian lady in the video happens *all the time* and they have nowhere to go for help.
The employer in this video would most likely have been a Kuwaiti local and therefore they are protected by the government so get less jail time. If the same crime was committed by a European, for example, the sentence would be more extreme. And if it was committed by what these countries see as third class Asian populations (Indian, Filipino, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Ethiopian….) the sentence would be EVEN worse. I wish this wasn’t the way. I wrote all this for anyone interested-and it’s stuff you never really hear about unless you live there.
@@lilbeanbop Thank you for the information, it's crazy that things like that still happen. I live in Portugal, whenever I see this kind of things it's almost hard to believe. The last case is so awful. Human Trafficking is one of the most evil things that humanity created and brings misery to those involved. I pray for people like Luo that they get the help they need. Especially since they're so voiceless over in China.
The last story was just as heartbreaking as the others. I can't understand why people would subject their partners to such harsh conditions and hurt them without remorse. Zhong was kept there for 20 years and not once committed su*cide. Maybe she was unable to think for herself after so long of being imprisoned. I hope people who harm others like this are punished severely.
Its simple. The woman wasn't this man's partner, she was his slave. It's not a question of "how could someone treat their loved one like this" it'd actually the reality slaves like this live in around the world.
The very last lady on the floor, to have lived in that same position for 20 years is hell on earth. That is so messed up. Whoever is responsible deserves the worst things anyone can ever think up.

Right ! And clearly, she is mentally gone at that point. I can't believe just how much help she would need to even get to the level of some sort of sanity back . My heart breaks for those women and everyone out there like them 😢

@@noalt4028 I get why your saying, but in this specific situation it is aimed at only men. In the end, an evil woman wouldn't be holding a woman hostage to impregnate her, because that isn't something a woman can do to another woman. And in general, there are very few cases of women abducting, keeping and sexually abusing a man or a woman for many many years. There are of course cases where a woman is aware of their partner's abuse of other women and may help out with this abuse, I can't think of any widely known cases where a woman is the lone sexual predator. Please correct me if you are aware of any such cases. So yes, men and women are capable of great evil, but in this specific scenario, evil men abducting and exploiting female captives over a long period make up the majority of this crime.

I'm broke asf but that made me feel so damn over privileged. I pray and hope she and everyone has a better future.
That first story is why I ended up with ptsd. My dad was a Detroit cop and as a small child I had enough awareness to know he worked a very dangerous job and might not come home, most likely because someone thought they were "the world's best drunk driver" or someone who beat their kids didn't want to go to jail.
Hello there. We hope to bring a better tomorrow. We hope to shape the world to be a better place. We shape nature to fix the worlds ills. We will keep you safe. Miami, the city of the future. The city where magic happens.
I remember seeing the second video, she survived that fall and I know the real story. The lady behind the screen is evil. She recorded the video as proof that she jumped herself but in reality the lady forced her to stay there and chased her to the window with a knife. The sound of her impact was horrble, traumatic.
@Campfire Bytes He didn't tell the whole story but If I remember correctly she held the woman there by knife because she wanted to quit and leave. The pay was unfair and she was treated like a slave, very poorly. The lady threatened her with a knife and the last place she had left was to escape through the window but after seeing how far down the drop was she got scared but was also scared to be back inside the apartment. The evil lady started recording her instead of helping her, degrading her and laughing; saying that she will use the video as proof of her "committing the not living". When she fell she didn't simply get up and walk away. She got knocked out from the impact and was bleeding. When I tell you the thump sound is traumatizing...I don't recommend it. I still can hear it in my head. She wasn't severely injured but people came to her rescue and yes she did get a shitty slap on the wrist for her actions. It's horrble to think that there are more women over there who goes through the same, and if not; worse
@@rprince418 he doesn’t. He explained most of it, but he downplayed the damage she got from the fall. Whereas he claimed the woman only got a broken wrist and just stood up after the impact with no severe injuries, according to OP, she actually passed out and was bleeding. It also wasn‘t mentioned that she was actually threatened with a knife to her neck. There’s a difference between those two stories. Maybe read a little more before you pass a judgemental comment, no?
I dont live in China, but I once heard that the one child rule was harder to enforce or considered more of a suggestion in rural areas. Rural farming families would have multiple kids as free farm labor.
Unfortunately, it often meant only one child was documented. The others would exist without the ID/registration necessary to access health care, public education, or the ability to migrate. It's quite tragic.
You mention some of these happening just after the one child act was dissolved. That act was a MASSIVE contributor to human trafficking in China because families could not afford to have daughters, as women had less rights and weren't capable of becoming familial heirs to property or businesses. So when parents had a daughter, as they would have had about 50% of the time, they had to either resort to infanticide, or if they couldn't bring themselves to do so, just give the baby away to complete strangers. Some of the time these strangers had good intentions. Most of the time they did not. Some times the parents had been tricked by who they hoped were good people that would take the baby away to be adopted over seas, only for that child to end up human trafficked. Whole villages exist of women like this in China. It's becoming rarer, but at its peak it deserves a whole episode unto itself if you want to look deeper. I don't know that I'd have the stomach or heart to myself.
And China hides so much of the horrible things that go on there. My channel covers true crime and we covered a serial killer that ended up being a state secret after he kidnapped like 6 women and killed two of them.

The China Show podcast (run by Western ex-pats who lived in China until very recently) covered the case of the woman who was chained in her home. This sort of thing is sadly more common in China than the authorities want to admit. Chinese authorities tried really hard to scrub the story from the Chinese internet to save face and when that didn’t work they tried building the guy who held that woman captive a new house to try and smooth the issue over…
American living in China here and the China show becomes more biased against China and Chinese people in general with each show. As far as your claims that authorities tried to scrub anything. As someone who lives here and can speak the language, you’re full of shit. The incident was all over social media and state-run media. The trafficking of people isn’t widespread and happens only in the most rural areas of the country. If you think that the government or police aren’t doing anything about it, I’d suggest you learn to speak Chinese and take “news” from so-called “experts” and ex-pats with a big grain of salt. They all have an agenda to push.

Oh I love when people get to easily survive something terrible that someone does to them. I’m SO glad the woman in the window survived. A miracle meant to happen. ❤

Rhythm Zero? Marina Abramović isn’t a very trust worthy person, and the ‘exhibit’ expriment has been largely discredited. i was so glad to hear the woman who jumped survived. so many murderers think they'll get away by killing, sometimes it's nice to see some do not.
Thank you❤

this was like the only thing so many people on weibo cared about when it first came to light in Feb 2022.

Although the newer generation now accept mental issues is a big problem but still majority will mock people with depression and mental issues
as a HK. I strongly dislike China and their whole system. Disgusting
I think mental issues can easily be as harmful or more than physical issues. Every society would be better off after realizing this.
It makes me so sad how shamed talking about mental health is in Asian countries. I can’t imagine what children are growing up with no support

I get why your saying, but in this specific situation it is aimed at only men.

Her backstory is prob heartbreaking enough.. then to be turned into a literal slave and got to the point where it was either fight or die mode and pray ur gonna survive a 7 story building fall.. I'm broke asf but that made me feel so damn over privileged. I pray and hope she and everyone has a better future.
I’ll never understand how someone can treat another person the way the people in this video were treated.
there are monsters out there....
They're not people...that's why they can do that
That first story is why I ended up with ptsd. My dad was a Detroit cop and as a small child I had enough awareness to know he worked a very dangerous job and might not come home, most likely because someone thought they were "the world's best drunk driver" or someone who beat their kids didn't want to go to jail.
Lol ptsd. Get real!

The second story was very well told! The fact she survived was a nice twist. I totally assumed she perished from the fall.

I remember seeing the second video, she survived that fall and I know the real story. The lady behind the screen is evil. She recorded the video as proof that she jumped herself but in reality the lady forced her to stay there and chased her to the window with a knife. The sound of her impact was horrble, traumatic.
@Campfire Bytes no way
@Campfire Bytes He didn't tell the whole story but If I remember correctly she held the woman there by knife because she wanted to quit and leave.
@@KiTA- wild
@@KiTA- Dude, he literally says all that in the video. Did you even watch it?

My channel covers true crime and we covered a serial killer that ended up being a state secret after he kidnapped like 6 women and killed two of them.
been keeping up with the first story, she avoided charges, and a month ago they reinstated 3rd degree charges, i dont understand how this isnt an actual crime with the amount of social media stuff...update: she post bail yesterday.
She kills 3 people and got a fucking bail?
@@aabbccdd2476 yup, after i watched this i looked it up on YT just to see, filtered the upload date to this week and apparently she posted bail yesterday. I'm trying to find info on the civilian she wrecked.

I'm glad the woman who fell from the window survived, I can't imagine what that would feel like.
27:10 I remember this digusting case becouse the poor woman repeatatley said "No one loves me, no one loves me, the world doesent want me..."
I am sure she lives bether now and i am also sure that she can't live 'normally' becous how can you after that...
