I grew up in San Leandro off Davis St. I absolutely loved it. It was a great place to grow up! It’s way to expensive to live there now but if I had stupid amounts of $$, I’d buy a house near the Marina for the beautiful views 💕

Have a family member living in San Leandro for the past few years and they like it. They have a solid great education from growing up in New England and a master's degree and is a teacher so rent is affordable for them. Have never heard any good things about Oakland though, lots of homelessness and crime! Are all the beaches in S.L rocky, no sand? Also, heard they have a cherry festival every year, sounds fun! Thanks for filling in the details.😄

I’m shopping East Bay now, my family is here. Moving from Los Angeles . I really want a view of the bay from my new home and still be driving less than 30-40 minutes to Pleasent Hill where the family is. This little town seems like a good fit as far as getting a view home in my 1.3 budget. I don’t have kids but need a 2 car garage. That is rare seemingly in the hills. Love your videos. Really help me decide where to look

@@gigi1332 - I love it here. I've been living in San Leandro since 2009. I haven't experienced any crime here. I have great neighbors and we all look out for each other. I'm also a member of San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, and they always have great events! Horatio's (on the Marina) is my favorite restaurant. San Leandro also has the only Liberian restaurant in California- Kendeyah, which has amazing food. My church is also here. I've had nothing but good since I've been here. Don't let the negative comments stop you from moving back.

San Leandro, used to be a great little town til… the murder of the cop bout four years ago, then the four girls coming out of the club were shot and killed, sideshow practically every night, Asians being followed and robbed right outside their home, teens riding (bout 200) their bikes down in the middle of the street, homeless on almost ever corner. If anything happen the cops just say file your report online. Shite for brain mayor, woke council, and popo that are apathetic to crime. No I would not recommend San Leandro as a place to live anymore. Looking forward to when I can leave. Oh and lest you think the schools are any good think again.

I can't say I'm familiar with all of the details about the development, but from what I do know, I'm in favor of it. I think it will bring need vitality to the San Leandro economy and make the city more of a destination. The housing is also very necessary.

There's no good Delis, most of the town rolls up when the sun goes down. You can go to Chilis on East 14th at Bayfair mall, but everytime I've gone there it's poor service and rude bartenders. San Leandro is like a town that's afraid to grow up. Kind of boring actually.

Your right It has become a crime ridden cess pit. Yes I’m still here. So don’t try and guilt me. I have seen friend leave and the schools deteriorate in quality. People used to be able to walk down the street with out worrying about being mug or assaulted. This isn’t some big city it’s a small residential city. IN my neighborhood alone 4 Asians mugged just in the past few months. Two break is while the families were HOME. Side shows in residential neighborhoods. And homeless walking down our street breaking into cars. And cops don’t bother. 🎉

@@gigi1332 I’m loathed to say it because I chose to move to SL in 1996. But yes it has become crime ridden. And no joke homeless walking down our street, one broke into me vehicle on camera no police showed up. Side show at the end of our street cops showed up, didn’t even stop them just let them go speeding down the street. Grow house caught fire a few months ago two streets over. Two house on our street we’re broken into WHILE the families were home. Scary stuff. So yea even as die hard as I am I thought about moving.
