Oh I love the Haley fabric ... YOu have to make something wonderful with it.. I big oversized shirt would be lovely, in my opinion No matter.. have fun with it..
That lilac and black fabric would look fabulous in an oversized kimono type shirt

The Helen's Closet York Pinefore would be a good cord worthy pattern. I would think you could even seam it down the front and back if you had to do one side at a time if the fabric is that narrow. The only thing I'm not keen on is how low it goes on the sides. You might be able to raise the dip at the waist if you wanted it higher. Style Arc just came out with the Zalia top or dress that would make a freaking amazing summer dress with that fabric, even the chiffon for the top and a vest top under it.

Love the red & think the idea of using as sleeves would look really great. Not so sure of the main fabric being such large print but as you are tall Ruan it would look great as a kaftan. Have a great holiday.😊

I don't know which pinafore dress you are thinking of making, but I just made the Tilly and the Buttons Bobbi Pinafore from some lovely burnt orange corduroy. You and I are essentially the same height and measurements, and I think it looks really nice on.

Style arc has just released the Zalia dress and top which I think would be gorgeous in the viscose. The print is lovely and I adore the colours. Funnily enough I have not sewn with chiffon and I've been sewing for most of my life so it'll be fun to see what you make with this. Enjoy your break away Ruan - somewhere not snowing. I'm looking forward to Autumnal weather here as it has been too hot for humans and dry! My daughter's school swimming carnival this week has even been cut short this week because of the heatwave warning. Fortunately though it will be the last of the really hot weather and it's going to back off and start calming down. Your work outfits are always an inspiration - love the top you're wearing.

I don’t think I’ll get the Donny shirt out of the 1M either, so might try the Lyra shirt hack Tilly uses but sleeveless. The viscose will probably be a 4th saltwater slip, I’m thinking it’ll be perfect for BBQs, cocktails and dinners 😊

With my chiffon what I'm going to do is use it as the overlay for a shirt yolk, I just happen to be working with a matching linen look viscose and I think I have the scraps for it.
