      Thanks for the support as always Peter, coloured suits do seem to be creeping back into modern showrooms, I went to the black country museum, they have an old plumbers merchants in there, all coloured suits from the 1950s

    Glad I watched this I carry viva valves and I've now got a low pressure one to change where I'll need to take the cistern off that would of cheered me up if it trickled like that 👍👍

    Good video Tom 👍 the viva valves have a non return valve in them and unfortunately they are hopeless on very low pressure. Sometimes on really low pressure they don't equalise and shut off fully. They are still a very handy valve to carry and suit most installations 90% of the time. 👍

      Thanks for the support as always mate, I guess the non return valve is to get over the water regs and adjustable stems, it just makes them really slow on tank fed supplies

    Thank you for the tips and fixes on tank fed toilets - those tiles coming off like that what a bonus - normally it takes half the plasterboard or plaster off.

    Hi Tom, I’ve been involved with plumbing for 50 years and I can’t remember ever seeing a blue toilet before?
    A nice job on the fill valve, I am a big fan of the Dudley products, I was laughing at your radio aerial 😂.
    The tiles were nice and easy to remove, that bathroom job will make a few good films. Another great film Tom,
    as always take care and I look forward to the next film. 👍👍👍

    11:20, you're right, the other fill valve you fitted were designed for mains, I've had this problem before... Just keep it and use it for another job.

    Blue came in right at the end of coloured suites . I bought my house in 1984 the bathroom choice was white , ivory, whisper grey, honeysuckle ,sorrento blue (the one you have there) sky blue or pampas (pale green)
    By 1990 only grey white and ivory were available .

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  11 місяців тому +1

      I guess that's how they get away with having an adjustable stem, most aren't appoved now, it just means they won't fill very fast on tank fed supplies , thanks for watching as always 👍
