Nice job mate I like the way you piped the basin with the service elbows not much more you could do there to keep it tidy looking 👍🏻 all basin traps seem to bloody leak a find ptfe round the threads of the wastes and also over the o rings/washers helps .
Spot on buddy. We use the McAlpine solvent to mechanical chrome adaptors a lot and they are notorious for failing air tests. We're using a batch of Vitra chrome wastes at the moment look very similar to yours and the diameter can be 1mm undersize on some of them. Look nice but a bit of a pain.
Thanks for the support as Pb, the ones with the fibre washers always leak I find, I tend to put a dab of silicone on the rubbers now to help seal them, it's probably not recommended but it saves a call back
Hi Tom, bathroom looks great now, well done on getting the first fix bang on without having the products on site. I hope the customer is pleased with the end result, another great series of films thank you, have a great week and as always take care. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, hopefully the customer was happy, you generally only find out if they aren't. I was happy with it though so it normally means it should be Ok
Excellent result. Looks the business. My dad taught me 35 years ago never to leave your level on site over night as customers tend to go round “Checking” things. 😂
Fabulous result Tom - customer should be very pleased indeed! “It’s a brave man that leaves his level on…” I sometimes do it deliberately when it’s spot on! Sadly, it’s not those occasions that anyone notices!
The only thing i would have considered would have been putting a non return valve on the hot feed to the basin sink tap as its a mixer tap they are notorious for making your hot water go cold when operating both hot and cold feed so maybe customer might get back in touch soon saying there hot water keeps going cold but hopefully not other than that brilliant job as always 👍
Fair point mate, it can sometimes happen, I didn't want to reduce the flow on the hot to much more because it was only tank fed but I know it can be an issue, thanks for watching
Thanks for watching mate, I don't really have any proper tutorials on the channel, more just day in life stuff, I can look to make some videos in the future though
I am the master of half finished jobs on youtube, I seem to upload part jobs and then never get round to uploading the rest, thanks for the support as always
Thanks for the support as always Pete, I lost quite a few subs this week, I guess they don't want to join the party, seriously though I am super happy at how the channel is doing right now, it inspires me to make more content

@@PlumbLikeTom not at all Tom, no need to put yourself down. You are a credit to the Plumbing/ heating trade 👏👏👏👏
Is there a first fix video as be interested how shower feeds done behind wall.
Obviously the important part on the shower was a beer bottle opener. Always needed on those hot summers evenings. Along with a pleasant shower.😂

Thanks for the support as always Tom, this one was a very tight fit, I doubt it would fail an air test on these
Yeah Tom good work as usual and a nice looking wash room, no unsightly pipelines to be seen

Thanks for the support as always John 👍-
the hoop on the riser rail is to make sure the hose doesnt fall into the water and syphon back into potable water
That's the one mate, it is important and you mostly see them not fitted, thanks for watching
I'm sure I've read that they aren't required on shower trays/wetrooms etc, only above baths but I could be wrong.
You could be right but as far as I'm aware they are required everywhere to stop the hose touching the tray, thanks for watching as always Martin 👍
First class job Tom.

Chrome snaps 😮

Thanks for the support as always Steve, I think we are all quick to take the level off if it's a touch out
Shroud first then o ring to hold it on the basin waste.
