Nice neat job mate. I have the exact same boiler, fitted as a replacement about 3 years ago. Took me a good shift from start to finish. They are heavy to move around compared to a gas boiler. Mine is in an under stair cupboard off the kitchen, back breaking bent over to access the pipes, yours had plenty space for access and all your tools at your feet. I was in and out all day, am sure you have been there😂. All the best lad.
Hi Tom, another great installation there mate. I’m sure the customer will be extremely happy with it. Have a great holiday Tom and as always take care. 👍👍👍
That is a fair point, I'm not going to lie, sometimes I do a printout to MI's for the instructions and then put them back a bit, my old mate always told me to do that, thanks for watching mate
Great install mate, there was as much plumbing in this job as doing the basic plumbing for a whole house.I 'm always in awe of your knowledge and the way you do these jobs so quickly and make them look so easy. I've seen vids on YT where a guy will change a tap washer (or cartridge these days), for some local old dear and then proudly tell you that he's charged her £120 for 10 minutes work because she's paying for his skill and knowledge, yeah right. Great skill and knowledge in this job though. Have a good holiday mate, you deserve it and I'm sure you need it.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I'm really looking forward to my holiday now, first one in 5 years, I've just got to get through the next few days 👍
Once you get your head into it, there not to bad, I used to struggle, I might make a video of how I got my head around it, thanks for watching as always Paul
Thanks for the support as always mate, I used to be terrified of boiler wiring and controls but over the last couple of years I have really got my head into them, I can pretty much just look at something now and work out what's supposed to go where
You need to start going through your eph motorised valve boxes, as they come with stickers to stick on your zone valves. Thats why they are the best for heating controls
I have seen the stickers but I didn't realise they said upstairs and down, I thought they just said HTG1, I will have to look next time, thanks for the support as always mate
I wired all the controls externally on this boiler as we had multiple zones, the customer was a joiner by trade so I'm sure he will make a great job of the worktop, thanks for watching as always Gary
@@PlumbLikeTom sounds good tom , really enjoy your vids and keep up the good work mate, enjoy your hols mate quite wet here so remember your waterproofs 😉
What do you make of the EPH actuators? Could only get these recently instead of oem and they were a bit pricier but long term could be a good time saver with the removable plug.
I like them, I haven't had a problem with one yet, they sell base plate conversion kits as well, so you can swap different valves out with EPH heads, it makes life easy, thanks for watching
It's because the door between the garage and utility wouldn't open fully if the boiler were to have been front facing, they are narrower on the width than they are on the depth if that makes sense, as it was it just fitted perfectly and it didn't protrude as far into the garage making it easier to get a vehicle in, thanks for watching Kevin
It was to clear the door between the garage and the utility, the boilers are narrower than they are deep, it fitted perfectly this way on, and the door opened fully. Thanks for the support as always mate, it is greatly appreciated 👍
I called oftec about the registration and they said oftec is unlike gas safe as you legally don't have to register with them as long as you are qualified. Obviously you can't register a boiler and sign it off for warranty purposes. Saying this though all the old farmers near me maintain there own without any qualifications.
You only need to be oftec registered when the boiler first fires up, having said that I did a job a few years ago where I replaced a boiler where the old one had nearly killed a family with CO poisoning, luckily they all survived but the man of the house used to fiddle with the boiler, the flue had gone wrong and it nearly killed his whole family, is it worth it to save a few quid getting a qualified person out
Hi Tom excellent job there mate, attention to detail excellent work, i know how difficult jobs are but the videos make it look so easy🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the support as always mate 👍

Would love to see how you prep old pipe before pressing over it, never know how meticulous you need to be. Great vid 👍
I should have included it, I will next time, it is very much the same as soldering, thanks for the support as always mate

Super impressive pipework Tom! A very interesting video, but it did look like very hard work!
Thanks for the support as always Steve, I find these jobs are always hard work, everything is heavy and awkward

Enjoyed that as I never really did much with oil fired heating during my working life as a plumber.
There looked a lot of wires for you to sort out.

Nice tidy job Tom, they are a lump those oil boilers aren’t they, you make it look easy, but I know it’s not, take care. 👍🚽
They are not the lightest things in the world, thanks for watching as always Peter
Good job Tom but why is the boiler in that configuration not back to he wall
It's because the door between the garage and utility wouldn't open fully if the boiler were to have been front facing, they are narrower on the width than they are on the depth if that makes sense, as it was it just fitted perfectly and it didn't protrude as far into the garage making it easier to get a vehicle in, thanks for watching Kevin
Milwaukee gear is the bollocks so good

The old boiler certainly had seen better days, thanks for watching as always Neil
Nice new flux brush I see lol
I found it buried in the van, you can't beat a new flux brush, thanks for the support as always Tom
I’m curious why you didn’t put the back of the boiler to the wall?
It was to clear the door between the garage and the utility, the boilers are narrower than they are deep, it fitted perfectly this way on, and the door opened fully. Thanks for the support as always mate, it is greatly appreciated 👍
What oil boilers do you find are the most reliable?
I like Worcesters but that is just my opinion, some will say Grant, others Navian, thanks for watching Shaun
Great job, looking forward to the next video
The more I see people using those Milwaukee pipe cutters make me realise it was a good idea not to purchase one😂
It can be annoying but also can be really good, I need a new blade for this one as its 2 years old next month, thanks for watching as always Matthew
£1200 or arthritis 😂
There less than that mate just the blades go crap real quick
Bought one today screwfix had a deal on
Hope I get used to it cos I really don’t like it at the minute
