My husband and I (both 67 now) had a code violation for "tall weeds and long grass" about five years ago. Since neither of us is in the best of health, the Village came out and mowed it for us...and charged us $150 for the service. We live on Social Security, so it was a big hit. As painful as it is to get out there now, we try to keep it cut back. We also got a citation for "peeling paint" on the garage, so my daughter and I went out and put a coat of primer on the door. We fully intended to put a topcoat on it, but the weather (and again, my health) didn't cooperate. I wish there was a Senior Services Association that actually HELPED seniors on a low-income budget to get these things done at a reduced cost.
I agree. Those of us on limited income and poor health need services done, and when we ask for help, we either get no response or a "sorry, you make too much money to get anything." Our government needs to fix these problems.
I would help people who’d need the help, I’d love to. Some of the lawn businesses charge soo much for there service, I know there making a living and all but I know of one case where an old guy really got nailed hard, very upsetting…..and they didn’t do a very good job either. You sure do awsome work here. I wonder if karma will catch up on thoughs renters who stoled her ridem and left the yard in this condition.
Nice job especially taking the tree limbs off the roof line. One of my daughters is on chemotherapy so I know how exhausting it is. Her renters sure showed their character stealing the riding mower, such low life they showed themselves to be. Sad…
Speaking from personal experience, renters can be a nightmare. Not worth the trouble to me anymore. she's probably lucky they didn't destroy the house. At least you're taking an interest and helping her out.
Depends on who you rent to!. I myself rent & have 2 acres of grass that I keep cut, I do all the maint on the filters in water lines & furnace. My yard is kept sprayed for pesticides all this on my own tab!🤔
RARE sunny day! Pretty raunchy for somebody to steal somebody’s mower more especially when they’re down with cancer. I hope she pulls through. And huge props to you for doing this for her! 🙌🏻
Someone needs to talk with several city officials about their lot. If that doesn’t work a check with the local government attorney might help clarify what the cities’ responsibility is. Job well done! I know she is so thankful for you!
Hi Brian. You did a very good thing for our lady. Our thoughts prayers go out to her, in her time of need. She's not alone. And you helped her out a lot. I guess I am really glad there wasn't a pool inside that back enclosure. Made me breathe a little bit easier. One Less thing for her to worry about, right ?? Well Done !!
I want to say thank you. I have been in a similar situation. I am lucky, I have great neighbors. I got home from the doctors one day and my whole lawn was done. It was wonderful to know that it was one more thing I didn't have to figure out a way to get done. Never did find out who it was
A job well done, Biglin. The owner should calculate the total cost of mowing every three months, average it over twelve months, and add the cost to the monthly rental rate. She can pay a lawncare company for service every three months, which would be better than the renter never mowing the lawn, and getting a notice from the City. The renter took the lawnmower in order to sell it. I doubt they would bother to use it at their next home address. The City does not collect fines from the city owned property, but they can collect them from a private owner. Fines are their revenue generator.
The City should still be required to mow their lots. If not, the cost of mowing the City lot should be deducted from the City budget and donated to the . Local homeless shelter. That would get the City administration of their butts and get the city cleaned up. 10 days GET IT DONE!
Fantastic job on removing branches and limbs from roof! Governments always hit people with violations but don't take care of their own property. "Do as I say, not as I do." God bless you for helping this gal out! Be safe!
I hope they left the inside better than they did the outside, what a shame,…thank goodness you’re doing all this beautiful work for her. I’m watching from Canada.
I had a similar situation with a field owned by the city that had weed well over 5 foot that were spreading seeds into my flower gardens and rocks landscaping. Tried to contact city. They could care less. So i moved up the chain to my City Council person. DONE DEAL👍 been mowed and cleaned ever since. Try city council. Nice that you trimmed those trees. Perfect. Thank you for helping her and the others. Your very kind.
I think there are still a lot of bushes, I suggest you be more careful when cleaning the yard so that the distance between cutting the grass is longer. Thank you for being kind enough to help him, God bless you ❤❤❤
Very nice work! In our area, the piece of land between your sidewalk and curb is the road verge, also called the curb or nature strip. It is owned by the township but must be maintained by the homeowner. The township can plant trees in that area. The homeowner, however, is not allowed to do anything to those trees. They're supposed to be maintained by the township. The township rarely, if ever, does anything to those trees. Unpruned lower branches block signs like stop and speed limit. The lower branches often hit pedestrians walking and children riding bikes. The curb trees are often planted directly under power lines. Since the trees are not maintained, they grow around the power lines and often cause outages during storms. Occasionally the trees will be cut into grotesque v-shapes around the power lines. Complaining rarely helps. It's very bizarre.
Thanks you helping this lady. When we get older we cant keep up with everything anymore. You are an very hardworking young man. Martjie from South Africa.
Great job! I know this woman appreciates the work you put into her yard. She has that concern behind her, now she can put her energy into healing. You are a good person to help those in need! Your help and work ethic is amazing!
What a thorough & thoughtful job! Thank you for your showing this neighbor loving kindness in a time of need. Yes, I'd say this is a real help to her...We always wish, in situations such as her need here, that her extended famiy members or church-family members would work together for her ( both practical & spiritual) good and volunteer their time and effort to look after this situation. Being that she may have no family of either type, I am thankful for the desire of this man to be the answer to her in this situation. THANK YOU ..❤😊
Greetings Bryan from the great Pacific Northwest, Lakewood Washington! I stumbled upon your channel and am so glad I did! I loved your transformation and look forward to seeing several more of them. Thank you for the work you are doing... the world needs more sweet hearts like you. Blessings from Washington State! 💛🖤💛

INCREDIBLE❤👍🙏 what attention to detail and what a beautiful transformation I’ll keep watching your videos shame on the city for the condition of the lot next door😔 what a blessing you are that’s one less responsibility the owner will need to shoulder which will help her heal. You’re an angel and what a hard worker ! I hope you’re keeping hydrated👍😇
Mr.Biglin..you are an amazing young man! Such complete and detailed wrk and doing this for a well needed woman indeed. Bless you. Stay safe God be with you and I pray your channels grows. I love your videos ✝️❤️🇺🇸
I’m glad you helped out that landlady, after she got messed over by those thieving tenants who stole her lawnmower. So hopefully the city weenies will lay off her and tend to the property next door that the city actually owns. You helped her out when those so-called neighbors didn’t.
Nice to see this makeover was done all for the right reasons, you know she will attempt to maintain it now it's manageable, I know how difficult it can be (lost both my legs and a dialysis patient). Well done another amazing job 👏
First time watching your video, what a wonderful job you did. I love how you write the yard and trim the bushes and even the limbs touching the roof, awesome job thank you so much for helping this lady with cancer, cancer is a terrible thing. My prayers are with her. Can’t wait to see your next video.
Are the audio issues in the beginning during the description/monologue my TV's issue or the video's issue? Either way, they stop after the description. Great video. I'm so glad you helped this person, and every person you help. You're amazing.
Nice overall work. Liked the drainage restoration. Good job re-finding the plant beds. Thoughtful to get the branches off the roof. Thanks for bringing the house back towards neighborhood standards.

Landlords aren’t exactly without fault. There’s some pretty shitty ones.
Depends on who you rent to!. I myself rent & have 2 acres of grass that I keep cut, I do all the maint on the filters in water lines & furnace. My yard is kept sprayed for pesticides all this on my own tab!🤔

Nice job

Excellent job Brian . I am proud of you young Man !
Wow! What a fantastic transformation. A lot of hard work went into that yard and it looks great. Im sure the neighbors are very appreciative.
I hope you report the neighboring property for code violations. Just give them the address. 😂 Nice work! ❤
He said that property is owned by the city. They obviously don't care.
@@leabarto8156 that's not the point. They aren't immune from the law... they have the same responsibilities.
@@joy2own I do agree with you.
