i don’t think so. SM takes pride when it comes to their trainees, they don’t really get ex-trainees from other companies from what I know. but who knows
@@nancy.5890 you shouldn't stan people because of beauty, kpop is music not a beauty show so if you don't like the music but you stan because they're pretty then sis please get help
Idk why she's story reminded me of jisoo from blackpink like when she said that she wanted to be actress but the company force her to became a kpop idol.
Jisoo auditioned to be an actress? I remember watching a kind of like an intro video on bp and it was mentioned that she loved to sing and would often do so in front of her family
@Proud Momma Bee i hope i never go to a fansign with one of those idols bc im really fat and in a "skinny" country like korea they'd think I'm morbidly obese
I don’t even know why watching her experience about her audition makes me so nervous and anxious but like boi I’m not even planning to be an idol or anything related with that industry why am I nervous-
I was a K-Pop trainee for almost 2 years. The auditions are super stressful. I trained in Jellyfish Entertainment. It's no joke. You're training all day long doing vocal lessons, dance lessons, visual lessons, group tasks, and you perform on stage. It was torture but fun at the same time. I learned a lot of how to be an idol. I started training in 2014-2016. I remember when Gugudan debuted and it was huge every trainee was talking about it. I actually met Sejeong and Mina from Gugudan/I.O.I. I was forced to diet a lot. They told me to lose weight or I won't debut. I did get debut offers for girl groups though, but never made it. I left Jelly because I lost interest in debuting because of all the long training days, stress, and forced physical appearance. So i give my best wishes to every single trainee out in Korea. That's my story.
I really want to do this. It's really frustating. My friends all got their careers figured out. They have a very strong foundation towards that dream. My parents want me to finish school then get work. But I've been keeping this from them. And I have no idea how tf am I going to Korea without money and any support.
I am currently a trainee for a company in Japan and the experiences I’ve had are so different from training in Korea. Me and the 12 other girls I train with dance, sing and all of that but, it’s not as stressful as this seems to be. I’ve cried sometimes and wanted to give. None of my coaches have ever told me to get out, rather, they helped me get back on my feet and be patient as I learned new choreo or something. I guess not all places are the same.
Her nose is fine..but her face is really quite big for asian standard....So that's quite a problem. If she did debuted, probably the company would really recommend for her to have a face reduction surgery. She's beautiful already just the way she is...
I feel like ''the chubby one" might be Red Velvet Wendy. She's got a lot of hate when she gained weight and it's really depressing because she's sooo talented and pretty. Wendy is beautiful no matter what size she is. I hate K-Pop industry because of that.
This video already got me scared at the fact that this is the reality of an idol trainee. I mean if you're passionate for it then go for it but then you always have to go through this process like a machine to create a perfect porcelain product. It's scary and no wonder most of the idol stars have mental health issues.
User name I wasn't saying that she is Japanese, I was referencing the part of the video where she said that most of the other trainees spoke Japanese or Korean and no one spoke English in the second company. The second company thus couldn't be SM since SM has a lot of English speaking trainees, while having barely any Japanese trainees.
Ok I think her second company was SM Ent because: 1. She said it's one of the big 3 2. SM is known for encouraging plastic surgery and dieting. Stella Kim who was supposed to debut in SNSD mentioned something about it. 3. The girl group is probably Red Velvet because Seulgi mentioned that most of the trainees they trained with left the company and only her and Irene stayed. 4. She said she was 13-14 when she trained which was 2011-2012, and Red Velvet debuted in 2014 5. The guy group member is probably Henry or someone from NCT
Bread i think its not sm. maybe cube and jyp. cause her look match to clc visual. and she doesnt want tobe gg that not match her style like cute aegyo cause from her look i think she's not an 'aegyo saram'. if you think seulgi said most of trainee left agency and only irene and her stayed and she the one who left sm i think its wrong. seulgi training for 7 years its mean on 2007 and irene 5 years on 2009. but yeri is 5 years to.. its mean when its just irene and seulgi was early 2009. but she training on 2011-2012. there's so many trainee on that time. do you know how strict jyp is? they courage their trainees for strict diet, do you know jeon somi and chaeyoung twice? they tell how scared when they were on diet schedule, they were eating in toilet and get found by staff. and then two of them get called by head staff and get scold. jyp is care for physical apprnc too. do you know jihyo? she get bullied and stress by other people cause her chubby and healthy body when she was trainee.
Bread thats crazy though. If she debuted with red velvet that would be great. It would've been a great experience, but most times you'll have to sacrifice big things to get what you wanted.
Yeah, I think the second one must have been SM too, because of what she said about how the company handles plastic surgery. SM is just notorious for that.
Gaby Cruz I disagree, JYP is known for their actors not having plastic surgery (Most of them don’t) Just look at the debuted members. 2nd is probably SM
this is really an eye opener to those people who are wanting to go through auditions! I salute u for saying NO to something u're not passionate about and that's brave of u. I, myself, auditioned for JYP online auditions and got the second email saying that they reviewed my audition piece. I'm slightly anxious but hopeful despite knowing the fact that foreigners have low chances. : )
lol idky but the description of "the more cheeky ones that will go talk to everyone" "guy from a debuted boygroup" and "speak english fluently" directly reminds me of only one person: Jackson xD
I would never want to be an idol. I couldn't put up with all of the shit and stress that idols have to go through, not to mention the industry is very vain.
Hayley 헤일리 That's because you don't qualify. Sorry, truth hurts. The reason why kpop idols are such great performers is because they put their all into training and not whine and complain. Most cannot handle it. It's only for the best of the best. It's not for the faint of heart and weak mind!
I wanted to be an idol so much when I was 12 (I am 20 now). I was drawn by the potential fame and success and thought I actually liked singing and dancing when in fact I didn't nor did I have any skills. Sometimes, along the way, I wonder how would it have been if I learned these skills and auditioned for companies and passed. But now, after hearing all these real stories, the trainee life, the idol life is so stressful and there's so much more involved than having the skills; the drama, all of it. Back then, I didn't appreciate western artists cos they don't work as much but now I think western artists are so much better off. They have the freedom to persue the kind of music they want and they don't need to waste time on extreme diets. Thank you for this video and I'm glad you walked away when they refused to give you what u want.
Jeon boi Don't undermine the hard work of western artists. The western pop industry is just as cruel and cutthroat as the K-Pop industry, just in different ways.
Im 14 and I still can't think of a job that I want so I was thinking of becoming an idol .. i mean , i really really love dancing & singing ( but I kinda suck at both but that's what you're going train for right ? 😂 ) .. I have the passion but I just can't simply leave my studies & my fam for an idol life .. + I believe that I wouldn't pass the korean "beauty" standard .. I don't wanna go under the knife either
Western artist go through so much crap too, everyone invades their privacy and they're pressured to be in a certain way but the thing is western artists know when they need to stop being a puppet
What is going to be when you get 30?? You will be "too" old to be a idol when you get, someone yohnger will get your place! And from where youre going to get money from
Sameeee. I really want to be an idol so I could give back my parents' hard work for me. And my friends told me that it's not easy to be a trainee and it's really the sad truth. But I hoping that God will have a plan for me.
@@miyawakiri it actually depends i guess? i auditioned there once (i chose vocal position btw). i sang for a few seconds and they asked me to dance so idk 👁👄👁
The company won't tell you to go to have plastic surgery but they will send you. this makes me afraid of what these Idol been throuh just to get where they are.
well if ur going to enter that business you really have all the talent not only acting you have to be total package. look at those hollywood actors they have all the talent.
You could talk in another video about how your day as a trainee was. What did you learn, when did you had free time, were there certain things you weren't allowed to do And so on ^^ Great video I hope to see more of you !
She was training at jyp for the first company - in audition a boy sings Jason mraz's song "im yours" bangchan sang that - "big grandpa" - jyp acts like one - one of the big 3 - and bangchan and felix were most comfortable speaking english
My hypothesis: 1st Company = Cube 2nd Company = S.M. Upcoming Girl Group = Red Velvet I don't know how long ago this was, it could have been Red Velvet, but that's just my hypothesis.
I thought so too at first but she said that most of trainees speak korean or japanese when SM lacks of japanese trainees. I kind of believe the 2nd company is cube tho she gives me clc vibes
I love K-pop the only thing that I don’t like, is that they care too much about how a singer/dancer should look. I honestly think that you should judge people by their talent, not by their image.
I disagree. YG encouraged CL to get plastic surgery during the beginning of her career, and he debuted a visually appealing group (Blackpink) despite having other trainees who may have been more nurtured in their talent (jinny park, jung Hana, moon sua). The whole industry is about looks and YG does not fall short of wanting to meet the expectations of the modern kpop era. People have even said that if 2ne1 or Girl's Generation debuted today, then they wouldn't have been as successful, because they lack in the visual department. It's a nice notion, but if you don't have the looks then you won't debut.
Kpop wouldn’t be nearly as big if it wasn’t driven by visuals. There’s a reason MVs are so aesthetically pleasing to watch or why idols who are even considered “ugly” are still prettier than most by miles.
Jungkook's Timberland In my opinion, it’s not the entertainments that care about looks but its the actual fans. I think the entertainment company ceo’s just want to be successful and want their trainees to be successful. The ceos are right though because most of the time, the most popular/most biased members are the visuals-Tzuyu, Yoona, Irene, Dara, Bora, Solar (though her talent is impeccable), ect. All in all, most visuals are biased and more popular. And so, the company probably just want their trainees to be visually pleasing and talented.
This is what happened to “Bts Jin”he audition for Acting but Bighit Decided not too bcz he was good looking and so he ended up with Bts who right now they are very successful
I think the 1st company was Loen Ent. Then she said she got more exposure from her 2nd company cause it was bigger, so I think the 2nd company would be Cube cause 1: all of their artists debut with Korean albums, then also release Japanese albums. So it would make sense that most of their trainees speak korean or japanese. 2: The english-speaking boygroup member could be Peniel, cause english is his first language, he has a very friendly personality, and he'd prob be the one that becomes friends with trainees. 3: Clc debuted in 2015, so the time frame of training the members seems to fit well.
Nah it's def not loen. Loen ent isn't one of the top 3 companies. her 1st company was one of the top 3 so it should be jyp or something not loen. Loen also dont have girl groups if im not wrong..
But I don't think loen ever had a big audition before with that many people before. I checked loen's website, it's more like a 1 to 1 audition most of the time so i highly doubt it's loen
cube is not one of the companies that focuses on visuals though. like their idols are still thin but the companies that are known for being strict on visuals are sm and jyp (mostly sm)
I just happened upon this video but I would like to say, personally, I admire you for saying "no" to something you are not passionate about. I look forward to watching something you act in when you finally acccomplish that goal!!! :D
I think first company is JYP. Because company was nice,Ceo was nice and there were a lot of girl trainees. I think second company is SM because it is strict and based on looks
SM isn’t really based on looks... like Shindong or Amber don’t fit the typical korean look but they debuted.. btw both idols are beautiful the way they sre
@@TheHungryTurtle they were a few exceptions but most sm idols fit within the beauty standards. sm is very strict with looks, talent basically everything.
I’m korean and it is a known fact that SM have the reputation to be primarily known “visuals” company. While YG being a company of talent, and JYP priorities good personalities
Yea i think the first one was JYP cuz of the dancing/not as strict training and the second was SM because they were focused on visual and singing (also red velvet debuted right around the time she probably left training), and between those two there seem to be a kind of good relationship for them to do trainee swaps? Idk
this is the most informative trainee experience I've watched so far. Thank you for sharing your life as a trainee. it really gave me an idea. Pls continue to upload more videos abt yourself Euodias! ❤
I want to become an idol, however I have heard and read that most companies do not accept foreigners. And that they are extremely racist in Korea so I'm very scared about that, but I still have faith that I can make it.
Spicy_Kurri you seem nice, however if you aren’t East Asian or Asian, you have a slim chance of debuting or getting accepted into a company. Even if you do get accepted, you are probably going to get at least some criticism from fans. There are a few non asian idols and most of them have gotten a lot of hate and aren’t popular. I’m not trying to be mean or burst your bubble but I suggest if you do audition or debut, keep in mind that most people probably won’t accept you as much as your members or fellow idols. Anyways, Goodluck, if you are still interested of course.
I don't think you should. As a foreigner you have so many different fields where you could work in (music wise) and could maybe become the pride of your country. If you aren't Asian I I personally wouldn't support you just because K-pop is for Asians and it expresses our culture. Foreigners aren't use to that, they want to change it and I dislike that.
K-pop is unfortunately not a globalized industry and there is a lot of xenophobia in k-pop, which is why we primarily only see east asian foreigners in k-pop groups, and some mixed-korean inidividuals (even then, they only really accept white-korean mixes due to racism and xenophobia and to pretend that doesnt exist would be unfair. Korea is incredibly xenophobic). However that being said I hope you can make it!
Vivian if they wouldn’t like to change things and instead would like to try there hardest to be a good kpop idol to Korea’s standards would you have an issue w it?
How they just send trainees away for plastic surgery without them knowing feels quite intrusive; like they don't even have the right over their own body. At such a young age too. That can be mentally scarring. 😐 Love how you stand your ground and be so sure about your wants and dreams.
I think it's something a lot of trainees are aware of already as possibilities. Because plastic surgery is already really accepted and common in KR, it's no surprise that they will make changes to your face before you debut so you have the image they want. And like this girl said, she already knew they would have worked her nose and jaw, she just didn't know when. If a girl had an issue with this, she should not have applied through that company or ended her contract instead of deciding to debut.
haqita02 all these Koreans are pretty before their plastic surgery, but they have to get it anyways to look perfect. This is why ppl think kpop idols are all plastic surgery. It’s sad bc they were still pretty before :(
she's just telling us her experiences and instead of commenting about her experiences, 99% of the comments are just tryna figure out which companies she was in LOL
Also she mentioned being "transferred" and Cube has many ex-trainees of JYP because their CEO used to work for that company making it easy to move. Guess she's not into G-IDLE's music style 😁
Evita Anjani I think she’s beautiful too, but I think compared to the “ideal”, her forehead and jaw might be a little large, and her nose is beautiful but they might think it’s too plain. Her eye shape is also a little bit average. NOTHING against her, just explaining why anyone might’ve wanted her to have ps.
I’m half korean half Mexican and I was treated like shit as a trainee 😭 I’m 5 ft even and under 100 pounds, (yes I was one of the shortest) in America I took gymnastics and cheerleading athletics plus ballet so I was already a dancer and athletic, and I really didn’t need to audition cause this manager thought I had an idol look and convinced my parents to let me audition my mom being Mexican she didn’t really want me to, my dad gave me the green light, and we where there for a summer vacation. So I audition and got in they put me in a girl group with 6 other girls. And here’s the thing I can’t sing, even if I had Ariana Grandes voice I’ll probably find a way to fuck that up right, so I only knew how to dance. So they had me practicing on vocals since I already knew dance. But my race was being picked at by some trainees and was brought up a lot cause I wasn’t fully korean. Since I was also born in American and was in Korea for Summer vacation I had to withdraw from school (in America) and go in online school so I moved in with my grandma in Korea I cried for months cause America was my home and it was out of no where so I had to leave behind my friends and family other in America since it was 90% that we where going to debut but I hit depression hard and with the bullying I was going through and I was in a 4 year contract since I renewed it so I wanted out by then and my depression got worse and worse everyday since I just wanted to get out. Once it was done I went back to America, being a kpop idol/trainee really is though. Oh and I forgot to mention that we where able to have our phones but they where checked at random cause since we where one of the few groups that was going to debut they let us out a bit and the girls would always talk with guys, and plus at America I was known for coloring and cutting my hair every week and since I was in contract they didn’t let me do anything, they called the shots on everything I did with my appearance so that also sent me in a mental frizz. And I’m currently 19 years old right now.
my guess is that the 1st company was JYP and the second one was either SM ( she was meant to debut with red velvet) or Cube (she was meant to debut with CLC) ... but who knows...
ToShi Star I don't think the second company is cube because she said not many of the trainees knew English but sorn couldve been a trainee that time and she spoke English very well
I know she said she was in one of the big three, but when she said she was switched to a new company from her old company, there are only two companies she listed that are connected in terms of ownership and that's Loen and Cube. I think she started at either Cube or Loen and then was moved to the other. I know Loen doesn't seem like a big player in the industry, but they're actually pretty huge behind the scenes and own a lot of ownership in other companies.
Yes girl spill that Tea, damn the kpop industry is so dehumanizing, this is brutal. I feel sorry for all the talented people who have to go through that.
Im my opinion your body is somethimg you live with every day and having it alternated in that way without your consent is insane. I mean if I imagine that they would change my face and everytime I looked in the mirror I would be sad because I hated the change it feels depressing. Well, The whole thing is such a mess in my opinion. Why do they put someone who aspires to be an actress in a girlgroup? I think you do things well if you like it but if you don't like being in a girlgroup you won't be really good at that in the long run.
Manpreet Kaur Sidhu i mean trainees do sign a contract stating that at some point you gonna have plastic surgery. Nobody forces them to sign it. If they sign it, then it's no big deal for them
Manpreet Kaur Sidhu people who go in the entertainment industry know this is coming to them. It's not a big deal in Korea (plastic surgery is seen as normal over there, research it, it's an interesting subject) Trainees sign a contract, and they are told this is going to happen. Honestly if you want to be a performer who wants to be independant and create your own content, big K-pop companies are not for you, and trainees fully know that.
Thx for the honest insight. Urgh... the whole Plastic Surgery Topic makes me cringe. I really hope that the KPop Industry will change someday and these unrealistic beauty standards with it.
Yeah, often it seems like people focus on idols being too skinny, which is a real concern. But the thing about pressure to be skinny in the entertainment industry is that it's a problem that applies all around the world, it's not specific to Korea. The part that really concerned me was the part where she mentioned that companies force girls to have plastic surgery if they want their contract renewed and wouldn't tell you when they were taking you. I can't imagine any country other than Korea doing that. That's much scarier to me.
I accually saw you and read your story from a documentary in Google. I was like: why can I remember this story clearly?!? Where did I read this. Oh my God I remember your profile pic-
This really puts a deeper perspective in what the industry is. That company swapping trainees is also true I mean 2 members of Gfriend are BigHit trainess lol. Glad you made a video about this.
why the hell are u so good at everything I MEAN EVERYTHING asdfghjkl and also good decision, you can't force yourself to do things you're not passionate about anyway ur still good ate everything so yeah luv yah
I think you were going to be in red velvet cause you trained when u were 13 and red velvet debuted at 2014 and you're now 19. so i guess is jyp first company and sm second maybe
Sabrina Clarisaxx tbh the first group that came to mind was Red Velvet bc they’re usually said that they have a diff type of music and she said that she didn’t really flow with that. Glad to see that others thought the same
the only companies with gg that recently debuted is jyp, sm, and cube. twice from jyp was formed through a survival show and red velvet has members that trained for 7, 5, and 2 years with 3 of the members being in SM Rookies.
It's not SM COMPANY. The girl grouo she mentioned is not Red Velvet. She said she was the ONLY trainee who speaks english. But Wendy speaks english too. Speaks very well, by the way. 🙄 And NCT only debuted in 2016. EXO, SHINEE AND SUJU do not have any members who are MORE COMFORTABLE speaking in ENGLISH. Yes, some of them speak english but we all know, they are more comfortable speaking in Korean. And it's definitely not Henry Lau. Henry is comfotable speaking in english, yes, but if he would go down to the training room, pretty sure he would talk to Wendy 'cause y'know Wendy's from Canada TOO just like he is from. She said she "auditioned" to one of the big 3, so maybe she got accepted in JYP. And then she said, they were transferred, probably she was transferred to FNC, Cube or LOEN ent. Correct me if I am wrong but I didn't hear her say that the 2nd company she was transferred to still belongs to the big3. Cause you see, if both companies she was in are from the Big3, then what was the point of mentioning those 5 companies?
Couldn’t they have replaced her slot with Wendy? I honestly have no clue but it made me wonder.. or is that not something they’d normally do? Cuz Itzy was originally going to have somi, but then they replaced her with Yuna right?
Why people sleep on this comment :'( im sad people assuming bad about rv or sm, came here again after she spill more tea and more shovking tea on soony chanel lol
Doesn't people say Red Velvet was supposedly a sub unit group (like nct)but due to the backlash and unnecessary hate yeri gets they decided not to do it again?
Now i feel guilty for hating those k pop idols who undergo plastic surgeries done in their faces. Bcs now i know that they didn't do that bcs they wanted to. But they're forced to do it. Well, not that they don't give the trainees choices. I know that it's against the law if the company really 'force' the trainees to do plastic surgeries. But what i mean is, they won't let them debut if they who don't fulfill the weird korean beauty standards don't 'fix' their faces. Which is why they have no choice but to do it to fulfill their dream. Moreover, it's a pity to quit after wasting so much times and money in your life to debut just bcs of the damn beauty standards. In the end, you have no choice but to do what your company asked you to do. Maybe we can be persistent and talk about how we'll just quit rather than doing plastic surgeries. But those who experienced the real hard times of being a trainee will truly understand how desperate they were.
Poop Wizard True. It is really hurt to know this truth. Now I understand why some idols cried when they had to talk or talk about their trainee days..I used to think how hard their training is like that they cried like that.. I thought it would be fun and a time of learning but it was more like trying to survive to achieve your dream.
Orange Panda It is because plastic surgery was supposely meant for people that have a disfigured face, or had some kind of incident happened to their face, so they need a surgery on it. Many of the trainees were force to do plastic surgery to make them look prettier. I don't get why for plastic surgery when you could legit transform your face with makeup already.
ok, but why would you hate on the idols bc they did surgery? it's their life and body, so they can do whatever they want. they ain't gonna ask u for permission, smh. but i do understand whatchu mean.
I'm auditioning for sm this month and I'm extremely nervous..... I've been watching a lot of videos like this one. Thank you for sharing your experience 😀
I auditioned to be on the Voice & AGT the setting was literally exactly the same, they didn’t pick any of the people that were in the room because of our looks...
1. JYP 2. CUBE Since you said Big 3 but not YG, the first company was probably JYP because they look into the person's colour over talent (usually). Second company, you mentioned it as HUGE and STRICT. It's probably CUBE bcs theyre known for having many trainees from all ages, and many JYP trainees transfer to CUBE, so you were probably in CLC's debut line up. Also many CUBE female idols don't act and sing, they only strictly are idols.
Yep and she mentioned there was a guy from a boyband at the time who is more comfortable with english and it seems like it was only him. Assuming from cube it the only bg is btob at the time and there’s peniel who speaks eng. Thank god she quit tbh, clc is treated like trash
Istg I was thinking the exact same thing first I thought about mark but then I was like no he is too young he might not be comfortable with an older trainee
just guessing but i may be wrong- 1st company: cube. 2nd: JYPE. she mentioned the 2nd company was a lot bigger & stricter. the 1st's CEO was a kind grandpa-like figure whom could've been PD Hong. and we know how JYPE & Cube are affliated, so they probably switch trainees around often & easily. she said the 2nd company's girl group already debuted; could've been Twice. (& Twice has a distinct style that may not be comfortable for everyone to portray.) she also mentioned a guy from a boygroup who was more comfortable speaking in English; maybe it's GOT7's Jackson/Mark. since she described him as cheeky, i'd place my bet on Jackson lol; he's known to be pretty outgoing & affable. quite refreshing to hear that the trainee life isn't all that tough physically. i thought the dancing and diet regime would be so difficult to get used to. just a suggestion if you're still down for debuting as an actress, try auditioning for smaller companies that have a good reputation in the acting sphere and house well-known actors/actresses. a good example would be 'Namoo Actors' company.
My guess is the second one is SM. English is not Jackson's first language, also there are a lot of english speaking idols and trainees in JYP (for example Chan from Stray Kids, he had been a trainee for 7 years and he is Australian, or Jae and Young K from Day6 and also Mark). If it was really SM, I guess the trainee could be Johnny from NCT. Also, SM is known for strict opinion about appearance. They have some japanese trainees and most of the SM idols can speak Japanese.
i always thought of being an idol, kpop idol to be specific. i always wanted to inspire people, sing and dance for them, and be friends with people. but im not really a good singer and dancer. im just normal/moderate if you'd rate my voice and dancing. but watching this made me think about it again. waiting for 6 hours and being stopped.. i dont know but it already makes me tear up just by imagining being stopped. im a 13 year old teen who isn't super independent. watching this made me feel so nervous, sad, stressed, and insecured. i dont think it's the face or body that matters. why do people always care about looks. not all just certain people. i mean, what matters is the inside. visual is important but not really really important. i dont want to be hated. i or we just want to achieve our dreams. i cant even tell my parents i want to be a kpop idol. so i just said flight attendant which was just alright for me. i just want to audition but im very awkward and i really get nervous to the point that i sweat too much and breath heavily. i just want to become an idol :( anyways, im very proud of you you're really great ❤
Hey, you're still very young! Maybe in a few years you'll have built up the confidence to audition :) (I know there are trainees who are very young but not all of them start at 13 so you definitely have time) It's okay to have that dream, even if it makes you nervous, and you have the right to work towards it 😊
“It was a very classic song”
I thought like some Mozart 😭😂
Omg same!! 😂
Same, That song is still just as brand new as when it came out for me hahaha
Me2 😂🤣🤣🤣
Bopping to some mozart, u know the classics
I laugh at that part too! 😂
damn. the k-pop industry sounds like a literal factory
Ange Long cause it literally is a factory
“Industry”
Ange Long it is
💯 agreed
that’s why big hit did it differently
Kudos to you for not pursuing a career you weren't passionate in even though it offered fame, it shows a lot of good character
True 👏
I respect her decision, however she could of have the possibility to branch of into acting after she made a name in the industry.
jade jones True
well if she isn't interested AT ALL in singing dancing and stuff then why should she do it.
@@pr392 Many do so they can do what they really want later like acting etc.
My thoughts
first company : JYP
Second company: SM
i don’t think so. SM takes pride when it comes to their trainees, they don’t really get ex-trainees from other companies from what I know. but who knows
Nayuna Kim i’d say it’s BtoB Peniel just from my pov since SM has a lot pf English speakers
I was thinking JYP for the first too
Jyp is pretty nice company with there trainees and idols too . Sm and yg are pretty strict
ME TOO!!
The first company focuses on dancing
Nice boss, grandpa
Straight thinking JYP
"They wouldn't tell you when you're going, they'll just send you there" oh lord...

If you are a trainee, do you have to pay them (company) a fee or do you get paid from the company?
Are you korean? Does small companies take asian but non koreans?
I really want to do this. It's really frustating. My friends all got their careers figured out. They have a very strong foundation towards that dream. My parents want me to finish school then get work. But I've been keeping this from them. And I have no idea how tf am I going to Korea without money and any support.
Im underage so... I can't earn my own money yet...
Well I am saving but, yeah I don't know anymore ㅠㅠ
Imagine waiting for hours to be stopped LOOOL
yeah like you wait for 6+ hours and you get 5 seconds into the song, and the judge just goes "stop, next" like i would be crying at that poinT
yeah that's really sad ;-;
Yo I'd cry ngl
Lol
I am currently a trainee for a company in Japan and the experiences I’ve had are so different from training in Korea. Me and the 12 other girls I train with dance, sing and all of that but, it’s not as stressful as this seems to be. I’ve cried sometimes and wanted to give. None of my coaches have ever told me to get out, rather, they helped me get back on my feet and be patient as I learned new choreo or something. I guess not all places are the same.
Good luck on being successful!! 💜💜💜😘😘
How different is it, in your opinion??
That's so cool :33 when are you guys debuting?
What is your entertainment company name?
Goodluck1! I hope you debut or maybe you already did if you did congrats lol ^ , ^
“Big Face And Big Nose” I might as well be considered a Fckin Blue Whale to Korea then
Pink_Uniqueorn this is wholesome i love it
Lets be cute whales together. We are beautiful and our singing is considered magical
Her nose is fine..but her face is really quite big for asian standard....So that's quite a problem. If she did debuted, probably the company would really recommend for her to have a face reduction surgery.
She's beautiful already just the way she is...
I CAN RELATE
This is so sweet, I'm getting diabetes
I feel like ''the chubby one" might be Red Velvet Wendy. She's got a lot of hate when she gained weight and it's really depressing because she's sooo talented and pretty. Wendy is beautiful no matter what size she is. I hate K-Pop industry because of that.
Sagi yh and she's lost so much weight it's so sad
It could be because Wendy was in cube at first and then moved to SM
Shain Contreras
Wendy was never in cube. She auditioned but got rejected, she then tried SM and they accepted her
Sagi
Wendy was pretty thin went she got into SM. People think she got rejected from cube because of her visuals
Wendy looked freakin great even when she was chubbier (actually i liked her more, he had a better body shape but that might be just me)

This video already got me scared at the fact that this is the reality of an idol trainee. I mean if you're passionate for it then go for it but then you always have to go through this process like a machine to create a perfect porcelain product. It's scary and no wonder most of the idol stars have mental health issues.
The entertainment industry is scary wherever you go. American artists aren't exactly known for healthy lifestyles or mentality.
Your profile picture and account name has me legit wheezing 😂 😂😂
panner11 I’m pretty sure american stars have a lot more fun than kpop stars because they don’t really have big production company that controls them.
@joy love what the fuck??
The second company is definitely SM
saniyauzumaki I don’t think so cause SM has a lot of English speaking idols but basically no Japanese idols.
Britney L she’s not Japanese :)) and there is a Japanese idol in SM, Yuta from NCT
Yeah probably
User name I wasn't saying that she is Japanese, I was referencing the part of the video where she said that most of the other trainees spoke Japanese or Korean and no one spoke English in the second company. The second company thus couldn't be SM since SM has a lot of English speaking trainees, while having barely any Japanese trainees.
And the girl group is definitely red velvet
"The girl before me went in" I FELT THAT HUGE WAVE OF ANXIETY DID ANYONE ELSE
Same
thats how i feel with every audition i do lmao
"like a grandpa"
hmmm sounds familiar
*cough cough* jyp *cough*
Ok I think her second company was SM Ent because:
1. She said it's one of the big 3
2. SM is known for encouraging plastic surgery and dieting. Stella Kim who was supposed to debut in SNSD mentioned something about it.
3. The girl group is probably Red Velvet because Seulgi mentioned that most of the trainees they trained with left the company and only her and Irene stayed.
4. She said she was 13-14 when she trained which was 2011-2012, and Red Velvet debuted in 2014
I agree...plus she mention ' he's like a granpa kinda'...sm like granpa😅
5. or kris wu
Bread I was thinking they guy who she spoke with in English was probs Johnny from NCT

T̶e̶a̶s̶p̶o̶o̶n̶ Mouthful of Suga i was thinking loen first then cube
i think the second one is JYP since she said most trainees were korean or japanese
Gaby Cruz I disagree, JYP is known for their actors not having plastic surgery (Most of them don’t) Just look at the debuted members. 2nd is probably SM

Same, I would never want to trade all that just for "fame" which isnt even gauranteed in the end anyway.
Hayley 헤일리 That's because you don't qualify. Sorry, truth hurts. The reason why kpop idols are such great performers is because they put their all into training and not whine and complain. Most cannot handle it. It's only for the best of the best. It's not for the faint of heart and weak mind!
Girl, you dont have a big face nor a big nose. I hate the korean standards so much! But im glad u didnt change a thing coz ur so pretty!!
Kamu juga cantik ehhh😭
Ya she is pretty
But I hoping that God will have a plan for me.
the most scary part in Korean Ent. Industry is you don’t know when you will debut 50/50 chances
dark side of kpop
and then even if you debut you might flop and disband. nothing is guaranteed.
@fuckoff lolol

uglemj most likely Red Velvet, because she started in big three (JYP) was transferred to a larger company (SM) and then left before the gg debuted
She was training at jyp for the first company
- in audition a boy sings Jason mraz's song "im yours" bangchan sang that
- "big grandpa" - jyp acts like one
- one of the big 3
- and bangchan and felix were most comfortable speaking english
bangchan and felix werent idols at that time
The English thing was at the second company. First one is JYPE for real
The boy was prolly bangchan and no, im sure felix wasn't there that time bc he trained in 2017-ish
@@ehugirl665 Bangchan auditioned in Australia, but yes, he sang I'm Yours
It definitely was bc I read somewhere jyp does that
My hypothesis:
1st Company = Cube
2nd Company = S.M.
Upcoming Girl Group = Red Velvet
I don't know how long ago this was, it could have been Red Velvet, but that's just my hypothesis.
Cutie Crafter why red velvet tho
Marc Jacobs because she wears Red
Maybe the guy in the company that could speak English was Mark or Johnny?
Hailey Is Happy those are the people I immediately thought of
I thought so too at first but she said that most of trainees speak korean or japanese when SM lacks of japanese trainees.
LyricalPhoenix YG does care about looks, he’s just good at hiding it
Kpop wouldn’t be nearly as big if it wasn’t driven by visuals. There’s a reason MVs are so aesthetically pleasing to watch or why idols who are even considered “ugly” are still prettier than most by miles.
That's Korean society for you
Jungkook's Timberland In my opinion, it’s not the entertainments that care about looks but its the actual fans.

Sabrina Clarisaxx when did she say her first company was one of the big 3?
@1:36 "It was one of the top 3 entertainment companies" Also, it had to be a big company cause she said there were over 2000 participants too
But I don't think loen ever had a big audition before with that many people before.
@@avamename7443 that’s funny cause I consider sm to have the most talented idols
@@avamename7443 ☑️
First was probably Cube, their CEO is known to be like a cute grandpa 😂
she said the first one was one of the big 3 so I think it was JYP tbh
Yea i think the first one was JYP cuz of the dancing/not as strict training and the second was SM because they were focused on visual and singing (also red velvet debuted right around the time she probably left training), and between those two there seem to be a kind of good relationship for them to do trainee swaps? Idk
But Lee Soo Man is also a grandpa and owns the Biggest Company in korea so I think it's SM
the first one is probably JYP cause jyp is known for his tendency to cut off people while singing if it's not right or something.
Isabella Van i dont think it’s sm because back then irene and seulgi was the popular trainees and for sure sm gonna make them as visual of the group.
I think her first was def JYP (not too strict, boss is nice, dance focused) & and second was SM (very strict, focus on visuals, more exposure)
Zahra HD
Yep
Aida Helena Dutra and also jae
Zahra HD I was gonna comment that
Zahra HD their visuals are sort of worst than jyp though
But JYP isn’t really a grandpa type, I reckon it’s CUBE because they’re a lot more relaxed and their CEO is known to be like a grandpa

Foreigners aren't use to that, they want to change it and I dislike that.
if you aren’t asian, you have a low chance. go into your country’s music industry.
Love how you stand your ground and be so sure about your wants and dreams.
haqita02 Sadly how, that's the reality, but we people end up coming out stronger due to what we endure (we = korean hopeful to be idols)
Well said
I think it's something a lot of trainees are aware of already as possibilities.
It’s sad bc they were still pretty before :(
The fact that the viewers are making theories and guesses about the companies you joined are proof that KPOP fans do a lot of critical thinking 😂

Also she mentioned being "transferred" and Cube has many ex-trainees of JYP because their CEO used to work for that company making it easy to move. Guess she's not into G-IDLE's music style 😁
I don't think it could be Jackson, because she mentioned he was the only one who could speak English. Bambam and Mark speak English too :p Idk though
Cookie Cat BamBam didn’t know English back then
Shes so amazing tho.. What else she cannot do :/
ryehaaan she can even speak 6 languages ):
Maretas Shiva She's pretty too.
she cant be you.
Maretas Shiva she speaks 7 languages :)
What languages? English, Korean, Japanese...
I feel like the worst part of becoming a kpop idol is the plastic surgery like ITS PERMANENT
Audrey Law even worse if the plastic surgery goes unsuccessful, ruins your face forever😏
but you get to look good ;)
She said "they already debuted"cube debuted clc in 2015 so I think of that
I thought that too so I'm not the only one
I think it was I.B.I
when you said the boy sang I'm Yours, all i can think of is Bang Chan's audition
No his not
AAAHH YEAH ME TOO
sameee
JSJJSJSJS THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT
i thought of that too omg
I think you dont really need any plastic surgery. Your face resembling korean natural beauty
Korean natural beauty?? Her? Nothing against her she is pretty but not as a korean natural beauty.
Evita Anjani theirs no natural beauty
Beauty standards are stupid lol
-don't hate-
Am i the one who thinks she was in jyp and sm? Jyp is "the nice granpa like" sm is the "strict"
for sure it's jyp and sm
nope ur not the only one
Me too. My gut feeling tell me that her second company was SM.
Yep
Ikrrrr
Which company was it??
Yeah which company ?
Which company is it???
What company? I need to know
@@faithangela5200 I'm 2 years late but I hope you are doing well now
my guess is that the 1st company was JYP and the second one was either SM ( she was meant to debut with red velvet) or Cube (she was meant to debut with CLC) ... but who knows...
Saaaaaame
ToShi Star I don't think the second company is cube because she said not many of the trainees knew English but sorn couldve been a trainee that time and she spoke English very well
she said the second one was one of the big 3 and that the first one wasn't as strict and jyp, sm and yg are super strict.
ToShi Star probably clc
ToShi Star I think FNC
Sounds like hell.
tæmochi yeah...I would never agree to do that

And you got 666 likes. LMAOOOO
kinda amazing how this was and still is so many people's dreams tho
I know she said she was in one of the big three, but when she said she was switched to a new company from her old company, there are only two companies she listed that are connected in terms of ownership and that's Loen and Cube. I think she started at either Cube or Loen and then was moved to the other. I know Loen doesn't seem like a big player in the industry, but they're actually pretty huge behind the scenes and own a lot of ownership in other companies.
No? JYP trainees are transferred everywhere. SM and JYP also transfer trainees quite a lot. Cube and jyp too
loving how we make theories about this too hahahahaha
She said that she was with lots of girls so that could Loen since their trainees are girls
JYP -> CUBE ??
“My dancing is a lot stronger than my singing”

Same here
Yes girl spill that Tea, damn the kpop industry is so dehumanizing, this is brutal. I feel sorry for all the talented people who have to go through that.
what? They'd just send you to do plastic surgery without telling you? WTF? Thats inhumane
That's the norm in entertainment industries. It's not a big deal.
If they sign it, then it's no big deal for them
Manpreet Kaur Sidhu
people who go in the entertainment industry know this is coming to them. It's not a big deal in Korea (plastic surgery is seen as normal over there, research it, it's an interesting subject)
Trainees sign a contract, and they are told this is going to happen. Honestly if you want to be a performer who wants to be independant and create your own content, big K-pop companies are not for you, and trainees fully know that.
Manpreet Kaur Sidhu That is inhumane, they should just pick faces they like and leave it at that
Thx for the honest insight.
Urgh... the whole Plastic Surgery Topic makes me cringe.

How is it now? Good luck!
I think you were going to be in red velvet cause you trained when u were 13 and red velvet debuted at 2014 and you're now 19. so i guess is jyp first company and sm second maybe
I think the first one was Cube
Sabrina Clarisaxx tbh the first group that came to mind was Red Velvet bc they’re usually said that they have a diff type of music and she said that she didn’t really flow with that. Glad to see that others thought the same
13:05 well then I guess i'd be considered ugly in korean standards. fvck standards. we're all beautiful in our own ways 💕
my name‘s erika too :3
love your pic! lmao
Erika Kaye hahaha that pic lmao wendy ❤️😂😂😂😂
you have wendy on your profile photo and this girl was about to be a member of red velvet omg flwhsjxbd
No.stop lying. Accept the truth.
I'm pretty sure the group she would've debuted in is CLC from Cube Entertainment
the only companies with gg that recently debuted is jyp, sm, and cube. twice from jyp was formed through a survival show and red velvet has members that trained for 7, 5, and 2 years with 3 of the members being in SM Rookies.
and btob's peniel is the one who spoke english with her
That could be...
It's definitley JYP then SM. JYP is one of the top 3 companies and then she said her second comapny was bigger so it has to be SM.
Cube is smaller than JYP lol
Yea the "Stop. Next." Thing is so much JYP vibes
It's not SM COMPANY. The girl grouo she mentioned is not Red Velvet. She said she was the ONLY trainee who speaks english. But Wendy speaks english too. Speaks very well, by the way. 🙄
And NCT only debuted in 2016.
You could be right. Maybe the girl group she talked about was CLC. It would make sense.
I would say it was Cube Ent
i guess somewhere she said the company I was transferred to was a big company and a strict one too
Couldn’t they have replaced her slot with Wendy? I honestly have no clue but it made me wonder.. or is that not something they’d normally do? Cuz Itzy was originally going to have somi, but then they replaced her with Yuna right?
Why people sleep on this comment :'( im sad people assuming bad about rv or sm, came here again after she spill more tea and more shovking tea on soony chanel lol
You must be enjoying and laughing on our discussion about which company were you in 😂
I LOVE UR PROFILE PIC! >_< I love Sana and Momo
if she was gonna be added into red velvet.. we probably wouldn’t know yeri
I don't think it was SM.
And Yeriana Grande wouldn’t even exist
Doesn't people say Red Velvet was supposedly a sub unit group (like nct)but due to the backlash and unnecessary hate yeri gets they decided not to do it again?
i think it was CLC, not too sure though
@@anna2k_ it defo is, it adds up. Thank god then because clc is treated like trash
Omg I felt so overstressed just by listening to you.. you’re a great storyteller🦭
8:08 The both were Cube and S.M. ent, you can tell it by looking at her eyebrows
Mikhail Merkulov she raised her eyebrows when she said the names of them
but she said the company she auditioned for was one of the top 3 so it couldn't have been cube it was probably jyp and then she got transferred to sm
I've heard Cube is even more strict than JYP and YG SO idk
@@tzuyu9283 yeah apparently cube's entrance thing is really hard

Poop Wizard Why would you ever hate someone for getting plastic surgery in the first place?
Orange Panda It is because plastic surgery was supposely meant for people that have a disfigured face, or had some kind of incident happened to their face, so they need a surgery on it. Many of the trainees were force to do plastic surgery to make them look prettier. I don't get why for plastic surgery when you could legit transform your face with makeup already.
ok, but why would you hate on the idols bc they did surgery? it's their life and body, so they can do whatever they want. they ain't gonna ask u for permission, smh. but i do understand whatchu mean.
Forcing someone to do plastic surgery is definitely horrible but how about stop shaming people who do it willingly
The 2nd company is definitely sm. I remember your pics....you were that hidden trainee called emily 👀
You look so suspicious
Lol
is that true? she is the myth sm hidden trainee? Emily kim?
Omg she does look like Emily Kim
For me honestly, you are very brave and stood tall of what you want. Man, that surgery thingy is so scary. Nice to see you being a youtuber
I'm auditioning for sm this month and I'm extremely nervous..... I've been watching a lot of videos like this one. Thank you for sharing your experience 😀
#1 Jeonghan Trash good luck!!!
OMG please update us on how it was
how was it?
#1 Jeonghan Trash How’d it go?
Girl HOW DID IT GO?!?!?!?!
I auditioned to be on the Voice & AGT the setting was literally exactly the same, they didn’t pick any of the people that were in the room because of our looks...
Haylie Armold Really ?!!! 0.0' Could you tell more about your experience ??? ;______;'
1. JYP
2. CUBE
Since you said Big 3 but not YG, the first company was probably JYP because they look into the person's colour over talent (usually).
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
Yep and she mentioned there was a guy from a boyband at the time who is more comfortable with english and it seems like it was only him. Assuming from cube it the only bg is btob at the time and there’s peniel who speaks eng. Thank god she quit tbh, clc is treated like trash

i actually cackled
Istg I was thinking the exact same thing first I thought about mark but then I was like no he is too young he might not be comfortable with an older trainee
Dudeeee i thought that was Johnny
i don’t think so SM has a few english speakers. I would say it’s Cube Ent and the guy is BtoB Peniel
Wait I thought she is frm SM🤔
just guessing but i may be wrong- 1st company: cube. 2nd: JYPE. she mentioned the 2nd company was a lot bigger & stricter. the 1st's CEO was a kind grandpa-like figure whom could've been PD Hong. and we know how JYPE & Cube are affliated, so they probably switch trainees around often & easily. she said the 2nd company's girl group already debuted; could've been Twice.
The only problem is cube isn't one of the top 3 companies :(
My guess is the second one is SM.
Maybe in a few years you'll have built up the confidence to audition :) (I know there are trainees who are very young but not all of them start at 13 so you definitely have time)
It's okay to have that dream, even if it makes you nervous, and you have the right to work towards it 😊
we got the same exact story.
